Got this from a friend off facebook BEWARE plastic bottles
Murgatroy replied to ted's topic in General Chat
Yeah, these were old news when I was a kid. The odds of you just finding one is slim to none, as mentioned a few times above. Just the process of creating one gets it going enough that it goes boom, you might have a minute after capping it before it explodes. I would be more concerned about one having been used for the 'shake and bake' method of making meth. -
I started taking my daughter to the range when she was four to gauge interest. By five she would sit and shoot her .22LR (hand me down, it was mine at that age.) By six she could put holes in the target at 100yds. She has shot my 10/22, AR and SA Revolvers in .22LR. She is seven now.

I will try and get some pictures tomorrow, I don't know how to use that fancy camera my wife has, so I just use my phone. A black dog in pictures with no flash is a picture of nothing. I will get try and get one of her outside tomorrow.

Bandit is adapting well. She ignores Moeko and Moeko accepts the fact that there is something else living in the house. I think she has decided not to kill and eat her. She is doing well with potty training up to this point, we have had an accident or two, but she clearly understands what the trips outside are for. One thing is for certain, she is a chewer. Her kennel is littered with pig ears and rawhide chews, but she still prefers clothes and toes. I think she is going to be a fine dog.

Good folks and good pups. My cat thinks we have betrayed her, but she is currently withholding judgement. Our new pup napped in a lap the entire trip back to Kentucky with a pit stop where she displayed nearly perfect manners. She is currently curled up on a blanket taking a nap. I am sure today has been a pretty exciting day for her.

Fastest route from Nashville to Dayton, TN

As a professional, this is exactly the same advice I would give. -
I am sorry to hear of your loss.

Reminds me of the bruise I got when I thought it would be funny to let off both barrels at once on my coach gun when I was kid. Stupid hurts. Glad you didn't get stung.

Vice City and San Andreas have had the best story so far, The Lost and the Damned would be a good third. GTA III and GTA IV were the same story with a different protagonist.

Reminds me of one of the more unique litters we had when I was a child. We had a cat that abandoned her litter, at the same time we had a Chihuahua who had a litter. To this day I am not sure if those dogs thought they were cats, or the cats thought they were dogs, but they all suckled the same teats and grew up as a litter together.

I like CCA for indoor, I have shot a lot there. For outdoor there is no comparison to Norris. I moved a handful of hours away and there are times I contemplate driving back just to shoot at Norris.

PM headed your way.

I have it on preorder. I have been playing GTA for a long time now. I personally think that GTA III changed the shape of games forever. Vice City is still my favorite. I was disappointed with GTA: IV as I felt it was a step back compared to GTA: San Andreas. In San Andreas a lot of fun elements were introduced and made for a very large and compelling game, there were so many hours of gameplay there. IV went back and was nothing more than a slightly prettier III. The Lost and the Damned DLC was nice on IV, but still, it didn't add any new elements, though it had a more interesting story. I am looking forward to the massive size of V, three PCs, the customization. The fun feature I think will be the Online, with all of the features they are adding there, it is a new element as well. Free for all gets old after a while.

That was a ballsy move there Walt. Hank doesn't have a move does he?

That is pretty awesome. I really like the interior, the floor is pretty spiffy in itself.

I would like to see more schools doing this.

Not everyone is into FPS games. To be honest less than 10% of my collection are FPS. I have Homefront and several CoD titles, but I rarely play them after I beat the story and get trounced in online for a few weekends. Action/Adventure and Survival Horror make up the bulk of my collection. I have one racing title, one fighting title, no sports titles, no turn based RPGs...

Tomb Raider and GTA: V are the only two games I have bought new this year. I have purchased several used. I don't think I bought any new games last year. Skyrim was the only new game I bought the year before that. I buy nearly all of my games on the secondary market, first so I can wait for the reviews to come out that aren't biased or based on selling subscriptions, and secondly, I haven't played more than a handful of games in the last decade that I feel are worth $60. Tomb Raider was a great game, but I beat it in four sittings. That was not worth my $60 IMO. I suppose that games such as Skyrim, the GTA Series and many of the FPS games that provide 100+ hours through story and online mode, I have gotten spoiled. But that is how I see it. If I am not going to get a minimum of 100 hours out of it, I don't think it is worth $60. I am also a major cheapskate. I will edit to add more thoughts, rather than make three posts in a row. Gaming isn't aimed at the nerd in the basement spending all of his after school time and his McPaycheck on games. The consoles now are aimed at families. I have a wife and a daughter who also use my 55" Sony Bravia. So if they can create a device that brings the entire family into the fold, that equals more profits. Now I have to buy games and apps for myself, my wife and my daughter. We have a device that the whole family can and will use. It is now aimed at anyone including the entire family to use their disposable income on. Netflix via the Xbox (and now a Roku type box) have become luxuries that my family would sorely miss. This is a big part of what the market is about now, not just creating $60 game titles. Subscription Services will be a huge part going forward, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, all in addition to Xbox Gold...

I am glad I am not the only one who is thinking that.

I think the antigun actors who are seen on the big screen using those guns does more for OUR cause than it does for THEIRS. To be honest, before this thread, I had no idea that Marky Mark was antigun. But I can tell you what movies he has been in and what guns he has used in them. I also knew he was a felon and unable to legally own guns. Same in regards to Stallone. It is similar to how there are all the gun shows on TV now, sure, some of them make gun owners look like morons, but it puts guns on TV and educates the masses. Anytime they can see a gun on TV and not have it immediately linked to crime is a good thing.

There are family legends revolving around him. I don't know what the ties were, but he is kin somehow. Or so the stories go. I have family in Finger. The way I have heard it is that the movies and the stories got more of it wrong than they did right, but at the end he was a hero. But not always. On the upside, I ate at that restaurant thirty years or so ago.

Wahlberg can't own guns is my understanding of the predicament. I think he is a good actor, I don't pay for his opinion. Read his history. Wahlberg was a violent felon. Beat two Vietnamese fellers half to death.

Are old time dumb cell phones available anymore?
Murgatroy replied to Randall53's topic in General Chat
They still exist. I hate to sound like I am beating a drum for one certain brand, but again... Virgin Mobile still does feature phones (dumb phones) with no contract. I think the phones start at $11 and plans start at $20. I don't know what the plan comes with, but it is available. -
Could you possibly jailbreak the phone to get more control over the apps? I have no experience, as my stock phone does what I needed it to, but I know that most everyone I associate with has hacked their phone to some degree.
