  1. I have heard a lot of good things about the Rhino and their 1911-22 models.
  2. I bought my first brand new car a year ago, it was a `13 Mustang. To be honest, at that price point, I don't know why anyone drives anything else.   We looked at the Fusion, but eventually emotion overruled logic and I bought the Mustang. With what Ford is offering standard, and the performance options available, I don't think there is much of a choice.           As for the Bailout, you have the facts a little skewed, but not much. They weren't 'forced' to take the money, it was more of a 'if they get it, we should too, even though we don't need it.' The idea was to keep a level playing field. There was also the Electric Car initiative that came not long after, Toyota, BMW and Ford all three took grant money on that, and the C-Max was the result of that.   There are a handful of articles out there about it, pretty interesting read.   And the only reason I was willing to buy a Ford.
  3. They will all die.   We are taking odds at work on who the ONE survivor will be.     Right now Unser and Bobby are at the top.   Juicy-Boy needs to die. Soon.
  4. I bought the wife a good sized dutch oven a year or so ago, she loves it.
  5. I like it, my wife really digs it, the only problem I have is that anytime he is holding a gun on screen he has his finger on the trigger.
  6. Not to be the downer here, but the class covers the particulars of the laws in TN. I don't suggest skipping it.         That is just me. I am a better safe that sorry kinda cat.
  7. That is pretty spiffy.   I like the bloopers reel: "You are really going to wish you had asked for a big screen TV..."
  8. I found the place through someone on Glocktalk whining about how folks here weren't nice.   I was never that fond of Glocktalk, but I liked to browse, so I came here and looked around since it was a Tennessee based forum.   A couple of years ago I moved to Kentucky, but Tennessee is where my heart belonged for a rather long time.   Plus the folks here are just good folks. This is my second favorite forum, and my favorite gun based forum.
  9. I just caught it on Netflix, had they named it something else it would have been better IMO. It was halfway decent.   I didn't buy the chemistry between the two brothers, it was nothing like the Jed/Matty of the first film.   I think someone said it earlier about seeing the flag at the end, I teared up a bit.
  10. My prayers are with you, I hope she is safe.
  11. My wife digs it a lot. I have never watched it. I was always Fantasy > Sci-Fi.   I know she made me get rid of any and all angel statues in the house.
  12. I will never do business with Enterprise again.   Several years ago my car was totaled. The other driver was at fault, her insurance picked up a rental for me. It took them two weeks to cut the check for my car, but they only paid for a week's rental. I dealt with it.   When I got to the Enterprise, they refused to give me a car unless I paid for it. I stood in their office and told them no until things were straightened out. Then they refused to let me drive the car without buying their insurance. Even though I carry full coverage. So that was $100. When I tried pointing out flaws on the rental I was told "Oh, we don't worry about those scratches."   Car was fine, turned it in a week later with a full tank of gas. They accused me of leaving it on empty, tried to charge me $100 for it. They pointed out a dozen little scratches and tried to charge me for it.   I raised hell and eventually left without paying a penny and a bad taste in my mouth.     Three months later I get declined while buying fuel. I check my bank account and find out I am overdrawn, because Enterprise decided I needed to pay for my rental, to the tune of $1000. Seems the insurance company never cut them a check, they never called me, nothing, they just charged my card where they had it on record.   That took nearly two weeks to get resolved and god knows how many calls to their customer service. It was only after I threatened legal action that they did anything other than hang up on me.       While I understand that the opposing insurance company bears part of the blame, Enterprise gets all of my wrath and they will never get my business or recommendation. Ever.
  13.     I wish more folks understood this. I have folks brake check me nearly without fail every time I flash them.   It is the same equivalent to saying 'track' when you are behind someone when running.
  14. Here is Bandit, I guess she is four months old now? Got her from here on the board. She is dangerous smart. You can see the remains of a cow hoof in pieces on the carpet. I think it lasted an hour. A record to be honest.
  15. That is a shame. Horrible actor, great guy, loved his movies.   But to look at it one way, he went out doing what he loved. Can't ask for a lot more than that.
  16. Yeah, putting the four ways and brake checking him means that you started it.   If he was gonna ride your ass and speed, he was gonna ride your ass and speed, you aren't a hall monitor. You should have stayed the course, moved over at your earliest opportunity and been done with it.       I was reading an article about keep right laws, which Tennessee doesn't have, but Kentucky does (but doesn't enforce.) New Jersey or some other yankee state just passed them and some CLEO was on the tubes talking about them. He said something that rang so true, that not many catch, as evidenced by this thread. I am paraphrasing, but his gist was simple, keep right laws work in a twofold manner to prevent road rage, when adhered too of course. First, they keep Johnny Leadfoot there from getting pissed at Granny Sunday riding along in the hammer lane at five miles over. Second, they keep Granny Sunday from getting pissed at Johnny Leadfoot for riding her ass. Neither are innocent. Passive aggressive road rage is still road rage.     Now, with that said, I wish I could sit here and take the high road and tell you that I have never been involved in a similar situation, but I am human. And I have a car that will do 60-100 in about two shakes of a rabbit's ass. The shame is that she is governed at 112MPH. That means that when prompted to get myself away from a bad situation, she can. Unfortunately that also means that I am rather unabashed at letting that go pedal stick to the floor a little too often. The good news is that more often than not, I am that smiling jackass riding along in the right lane, using indicators and tooling along at five miles an hour under the limit. But that is because I am a frugal bastard, and my car gets 32MPG at 65MPH.     She gets 12MPG at 100MPH.
  17. ... as a man of wealth and taste...           Welcome aboard.
  18. I wouldn't feel bad about it, sucks, cause your boy got his hopes up, but this was better in the end.     A few years back I was hit and the insurance totaled my (wife's) car out. It was all cosmetic damage and with the replacement of a headlight the car was sound and usable again. I bought it back from the insurance for a pittance. The title was never branded on the car, though it was a write off. I drove the car for a couple of months and then sold it for cheap to a feller that needed a car. But the point is, just because a car has been totaled, doesn't mean the title is branded either.
  19. ^ I haven't personally done this, but I know a lot of folks that are less mechanically inclined than I am that have.
  20. Tool and other industrial metal acts are an acquired taste.   I am rather fond of them. James Maynard Keenan has quite the eclectic musical resume, but I have enjoyed most of his projects.         This is a pretty good cover, the kid on bass is tearing it up and just grooving right along. I would venture to say he has a bright future ahead of him. Although none are shabby.
  21. I got a good kick out of that.
  22. Both of the women were in the background when the girl was pulled from the pit.   I only saw the one of his followers, I didn't see the other cat.         In the preview for next week the guy made it clear that he was in charge, and the Gov was not eligible to be in a decision making role. Not something surprising given the fate of the Gov's last command.
  23.   In the comics, Brian was the Gov. His brother was Philip. When Philip died, Brian took the name and used it as a alter ego. Penny was the Gov's niece, not daughter.   In the TV Series, Philip was the Gov with no mention of a brother.
  24. This will never make it to the news, this will never become public.
  25. Best episode so far.     I have never kept it a secret, until the last episode of last season, I didn't see the Gov as The Big Bad. He was a man who was coping the best he could with what life had dealt him. When Michonne came and killed his daughter a second time, it unhinged him even further. The last episode of last season, we saw a man snap.   The Gov in the comics was completely different, he was The Big Bad.    I think a lot of folks have had a problem separating the two different characters.   This episode was brilliant.   I also loved taking the name Brian.
