Holster for people who work outside and sweat
Murgatroy replied to a topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Sounds to me if you want to carry, you need to change the way you dress. Concessions need to be made, as everyone is pointing out. Without a belt, you are very limited to how you can hold it. Either a belly band or a fanny pack is the only thing that I can think of given your requirements. Personally I have a handful of OWB leather holsters that work great while working, or my standard carry in a kydex IWB. All of them require a belt. I don't leave home without a belt on, but that is me. -
I ordered both at the same time and they shipped separately. I played it calm, and a couple days later I got my upper. It gave me time to build the lower.

Bump and old thread here. This is on Netflix, and I recalled the previews looked good. It is a worthy watch for an action flick. I liked it, I liked how the story paced, I liked the characters. I am not a huge Tom Cruise fan, but I must grudgingly admit that he is a competent actor and he has produced very few (...cough War of the Worlds cough...) failures. I like most of what he does. I liked the end, the 'moral' if you would call it that, the epilogue as narrated by the patsy.

I qualified 100% with my carry gun. Because that was the gun that I shot well. Our instructor made a comment about our class being odd, no one was shooting anything smaller than a .380ACP. You question however was already answered, you don't have to qualify with your carry.

That is pretty impressive.

Thirty minutes out. One of the best shows currently on television.

FBI Releases new stats on background checks completed for 2013
Murgatroy replied to Dustbuster's topic in General Chat
That is a valid point, for the last five years or so it was over two million, then down a million this year... I wonder how valid those numbers are? I don't see know some of them jump all over the board. -

Them damn Texans beat us this year... -
I think the .380 will sell, but I think the 9mm would have been a better market move.
-
Do we assume that the 41 will be a 9mm variant?

G and his Missus are good folks.

My seven year old has always been fine with Dirty Bird targets, she has been shooting at those for years.

I am willing to pay retail sticker at the high end. If the gun is cherry. I am still spending fuel, so the only savings is tax, we don't pay for a background up here. A lot of time it comes down to the fact that someone paid to much in the first place, or it truly ignorant to market prices. I tend to be a polite feller, when I have the time and wherewithal to inquire and I will explain "this is what I think you have, this is what I am willing to begin negotiations at". However, more times than not, I am responded to by a hurt seller who wants to tell me that he wants X for it, and is not willing to negotiate. I have walked away from more than one fair deal lately because someone wanted to get silly in the negotiations.

There are a pair of forums I have found most active. http://kentuckyarmoryclub.com/ and http://forum.kentuckianafirearms.com/ I am not sure of everything, but my understanding is that there was one forum, there was some fall out and at the end of it there were two. A lot of members cross post. I wasn't involved, I don't know anything more than that. Both forums are fairly active, but I can't say that either of them have replaced TGO for me. I moved to Kentucky two years ago. I have found that the secondary market prices are higher than Tennessee. That is extremely confusing when both Buds and KYGUNCO are less than an hour drive from where I am. I don't understand someone posting a pistol for sale that is $100 over sticker at a store. I haven't met anyone from the Kentucky forums face to face, but I have met more than a dozen from here and had multiple good transactions when I still lived in Tennessee. As such, I still consider TGO my go to forum for guns over national or local. The Kentucky cats seem to think that their scratched up Marlins and sporterized Mosins are worth their weight in gold. As such, everything I have bought since I moved here has been retail. If you are interested in just a for sale section, both have activity there, but it is considerable less than Armslist, and again, the price issue galls me.

Australian police find 328 guns, 4.2 tons of ammo at farm

Many of them modified to be illegal... The horror. I also want to find someone to pay me $10k for my Glock. -
I never had use for one of them fancy phones... Then I got one. Bastards.

Hell I didn't know wine came in flavors other than Thunderbird.

I don't agree with the needless deaths, but it does set a bit of a precedence though. Here we say 'we won't negotiate with terrorists,' but we do. There they say it, and then they just go in and kill everyone.

I thought no one in the US knew of that. I had a friend in Eastern Europe as it went down, that is the only reason I knew about it. I watched the news nonstop and it was only mentioned once or twice an hour. I wound up following on Reuters or some other global equivalent. I remember it was done and over in less than a day. It was a horrible tragedy to be sure, but I am certain that here in the states, we would still be having a standoff with them nearly ten years later.

Buddy at work gave me the first two seasons of Deadwood on DVD. I am almost through with the first season. I am really digging it. -
I didn't read all of Tanker's posts, but I read enough to tell you that he knows what he is talking about. I started using a vaporizer about four months ago. I quit smoking the day I did. I haven't touched a cigarette since. I am to the point where I only hit the vaporizer once every other day or so. I use an Ego Twist battery and a Kanger eVod tank. I swear by them. Costs about $30 to play, not counting your juices, and $10 of juice will last a week. There is a cat on the board that runs a shop in Nashville. I haven't done business with him, but he seems like a good cat. I have been ordering from Mountain Oak Vapors out of Cleveland, TN for a while now, they are one of the better known names in the game.

Many years ago I ordered a starter and flexplate from Summit. I had to have the parts by the weekend for a race, so I paid a small fortune for Next Day Air. Next day comes, nothing. Friday comes, nothing. Friday afternoon I called and raised a small bit of hell with Summit. I had done ~$15k with them in the space of a year and I was less than pleased. They had the starter and flywheel to me at 7am Saturday morning AT IRP. I get home, and come Monday, here comes the Fed Ex truck with a box from Summit for me. I called Summit to let them know, they said they had no record of the first delivery, it no longer existed, have a great day.

I make my daughter assemble her own LEGOs, that is half the fun. She has practically every Star Wars set that has come out short of the $150+ ones. The only thing I can think of in eight Christmases I ever assembled was her bike. I come from a big family, so Christmas was always a day long event with all of us kids tearing packages open, then spending the day with each other, and ending at my cousin's house where all us boy cousins the same age would have a sleep over. We weren't allowed to open gifts until sunup. And everyone had to be awake. I get frustrated now, because my wife is worse than a child about Christmas. I kid you not, my daughter woke up at 3am and came into our bedroom and says "Santa was here!" and my wife is up and dressed standing at the door screaming at me like a vicious demon because I wouldn't get out of bed so we could open the presents RIGHT THEN!
