  1. He is still getting the nicotine from the vaping, so it isn't exactly that easy.                   I quit last year, started vaping, vaped for a couple of months, then put that down too. You won't regret it.
  2. I have bought 2-3k of .22LR over the last two years, just being patient and grabbing it when I see it. Cabelas has been the best bet for it lately.
  3. That was an awesome read.   I am so glad that they could tell me how dangerous derringers are. I had no clue.
  4. I have a Bladetech Kydex holster, the Phantom I think, paid $20 for it, I wear it more than my $100 holsters, and it is my go to for EDC.
  5. This isn't the first time they have brought in a female either.   And just to take their side, in Norse Mythology, women could be reknowned warriors too.
  6. I like them.   I like silly things.
  7. Legal Shield (formerly Pre-Paid Legal) advertises itself as similar.
  8. I have read the same joke regarding at least a dozen makes or models, but it is still funny.
  9. Maybe because I have been a forklift operator and trainer for two decades, I was failed to be impressed.
  10. One child. A daughter.   And like another mentioned, the dog and cat are female as well. Leaving me the only male in the house.
  11. I like to think I am middle class.   I could be wrong, but it wouldn't be the first time.   I own nice things, pay all my bills and don't recieve any government assistance.   I work for what I have. I have worked hard to get what I have.   Here in Kentucky as mentioned, we are taxed on our property. I had to pay sales tax on my car when I bought it fifteen years ago. For fifteen years I paid my insurance, registration and upkeep and went on my way. Starting three years ago, I started to have to pay taxes on something I had owned for twelve years with never a question. $3.57 plus $30 for the registration is a rather far cry from the $98 I paid in Tennessee for the registration and wheel tax, but it is the point of having to pay taxes. My Mustang on the other hand it taxed at $250. That adds a fair bit to the price of the car over the next fifteen years.   We are currently going through the whole 'minimum wage' thing up here. They are looking to raise it to $10 or a hair above. Because that proverbial single mother who has zero marketable skills and can't get my order right at the drive through can't support her children at $16000 a year. With the equivalent of $8000 in living assistance in her project home, and her $1200 a year in SNAP benefits, or god forbid the (at my company rate for a family of 3) $6000 a year in Obamacare, lest we forget the $2500 she will get back from EIC when she files her taxes which she will of course be found to have overpaid and be recieving a refund, she makes the same as someone based at a $34000 a year job. What I then ask is: is everyone else going to be required to recieve a $5700 pay increase from their company to match this? Because otherwise, I am taking a $5700 pay cut. But that logic doesn't work for wealthy liberals driving their fancy cars.   No obviously, I fudged those numbers a minor bit to round them out.   But based on that number, anyone making above $34000 a year could be considered middle class.   I know that after $55k you are no longer eligible for EIC or eFiling, we found that out a handful of years ago and I haven't seen a refund in even longer. Yet it never ceases to amaze me, the more and more I make in life, the less it seems to go.
  12. I like it.   But as mentioned above, I am an Ahern fan, so take that for what it is.   I would give it a whirl.
  13. I saw it mentioned above, but I use my index finger as opposed to my thumb.   I suppose that I am a fairweather southpaw. I learned at an early age that this world just wasn't made for me, and I adjusted. Being right eye dominant helped.   As such, now at this age, I don't really have a weak side and I am pretty much ambidextrous.
  14. One of the funniest films of all time IMO.
  15. You keep using that word, but I do not think it means what you think it means.
  16. The Princess Bride.   I love a good fairy tale, and it was funny as all get out.   I don't think a day goes by that I don't find at least one line out of that movie to quote in a relevant situation.
  17. I like the look of the 14" shown in that link, but my thinking, that is an awful lot of scratch just to get an inch or two shorter than what a hacksaw would give me, ya know?
  18. I am rather fond of Cabelas, and have and do a lot of business with them. Their retail locations are nice. It is similar to BP, but more focus on hunting than fishing.
  19. My wife has been with Target for years.   They had a big pow-wow this morning to discuss this memo.   They were specifically told that Target has made their announcment, and it is done and over. No more action, and if the team members spot someone legally carrying in the store, they are to say nothing, do nothing and contninue on with their jobs.   They will not be posting. They will not be asking anyone to leave their store. They just did a dog and pony show to get some over zealous folks ON BOTH SIDES to hush.       Thankfully here in Kentucky concealed means concealed, and there is no crime in carrying past a posting. But again, I am not concerned about Target posting.
  20. What is preventing you from just cutting the barrel flush with the mag cap after installation of the Raptor Grip?   Would that be slightly longer than the 14"?
  21. I am a cheap guy, but I have Bulova, and it is a rather fine watch.   One of the few expensive luxuries I have.   Were I to have bought it, I doubt I would have. But it is a good watch.
  22. You are aware that my post was in disagreement with someone that was proposing a motorcycle as an economical and green decision, right?
  23. I fully understand that it is up to the discretion of the officer. I have a feeling that a woman with children in the car would be in a lot better situation to go on her own way than a young kid in a hot rod.   I am just saying that my personal experience when my license was suspended (we keep saying revoked, but they are two different levels of removal of privilege) was that I got hauled in for Driving While Suspended. I was also 19 years old driving a fire engine red Mustang.   So there were multiple factors.   I personally believe that if on the rare chance that the OP was pulled over today, and she explained her situation, she would be told to take care of it Monday and have a good weekend.     Of course the solution in the future would be to abide by the speed limit, use your indicators and come to a complete stop, even before a right hand turn. But I have my own personal reasons for being a stickler for the rules of the road.
  24. It is my wife's car, she can't drive a manual. I drive a Mustang.
  25. I am not trying to scare the OP, but in my experience with a revoked from a FTA I was not given a stern warning and a chance to call a ride. I was given a ride and a change of clothes. Then I had to call a bondsman. The arresting officer didn't care that I had a revoked from a 55 in 45, all he saw was revoked and hauled my happy little butt off to jail.
