I read something where Kirkman hinted that it would be the story of survival elsewhere in the country, and that was really all he would elaborate on.

I used a vaporizer to quit smoking. One of the best decisions I ever made.

I like it. I have to admit that I liked the original too, had a rough and tumble no nonsense look to it.

Civil Unrest Thread got me thinking.
Murgatroy replied to Randall53's topic in Survival and Preparedness
I forget where I read it, but the ceramic tiles, then coated with bedliner seemed to be a pretty cheap way to make plates. I would like to see someone make a wall of the same caliber as an outer home wall, with siding, hardy board, insulation, and then drywall, then try the ceramic tiles. I have a feeling they would be fairly solid in the grand scheme of things. A lot of the 'tests' I see performed don't go through the effort of shooting through plywood, insulation, drywall, sheetrock, family portraits, a clock, curtains, etc... they shoot through a piece of sheet rock then proceed to tell you that a pellet from 12ga buckshot will penetrate through ten rooms and three neighbor's homes. Granted, the odds of someone doing a random drive by is pretty rare, and a naive thought. Most drive bys are gang related, or drug related, so unless you are in a gang, or selling drugs, or live in a neighborhood where that is a common problem, you have nothing to worry about. I am more worried about finding a parking place than I am about being a victim of random gang violence. -
You are assuming it was a thug or a career criminal that did this though. It could have been a crime of chance by a kid, or a drug addict needing a fix. A drug addict will sell it, a kid will tell his friends. There are many different reasons that this could have happened, and many different outcomes. I agree that any theft sucks, and I hope the OP gets his property back.

White tends to fade out really fast, it is usually only used for highlighting.

I hate to hear that David, but at the least the dog had a great life, which is more than can be said for a lot of animals out there.

This is happening, and has been happening all over the country. For a while. I think it started several years ago, was it in Virginia, where the reporter and his girlfriend (or her boyfriend, the details are fuzzy) were attacked in the middle of the street while in their car. Here in Louisville last year, or earlier this year, we had several days where they would just block the streets and attack folks. I hate to say that no one did anything, because the police did go and arrest three random teens after the waterfront attacks, who all three had solid alibis, and weren't even close to the description of any of the teens involved, except for one major identifier. LMPD has been kissing a lot of ass after that incident and it seems they are scared to make any arrests afterward.

When I was younger I kept two tanks, one full of Oscars and another full of goldfish and guppies. I also kept koi for a while, with the goldfish. Each tank had a plecostomus or two. The the guppies were for the Oscars. Goldfish aren't good food for Oscars. The guppies were. I just liked Goldfish. Fred, my last goldfish was approximately 4lbs when I rehomed him. The buggers can get huge in the proper tank.

She isn't the first to do this. There was a guy in Europe that did this years ago.

Less than a week, who is excited? I hope they all die.

It is the sleeve and 5/8th inch holes in my ear that betray me as different. But oddly enough, even now at my age it is always 'you need a damn haircut, hippie!' that I get.

I sit in an office and tell people what to do. To be fair, mine is on the collarbone/neck/throat, and while large, is minimally seen if my shirt is buttoned all the way up, and not seen at all if I have a tie on.

Rolling through a construction zone at 55MPH, the posted limit, I had a woman get so close I couldn't see her hood. She IMMEDIATELY threw her hands in the air and started honking the horn as soon as she got that close. I think we were rolling at 25MPH before we made it to our exit. She was grabbing her steering wheel and just shaking her car all over the road with rage. I would have slowed down more, but that would have been pushing it at that point. I think that was the meanest I ever got, after losing a friend to a dumbass driver when he stopped on the side of the road on duty, I don't take idiots in construction zones, or anywhere workers are present, lightly.

I don't care how fake that is, it is funny.

There is no powder, primer only. It won't have the power to make it out of a rifle barrel, that is why they suggest them for handgun only. This is usually for close range rodent control in confined spaces.

The guys that 'will never get into an accident for XXX reason are the most dangerous guys on the road. Be ever vigilant and careful. Not cocky.

Will Hayden (Sons of Guns) arrested for child molestaion "allegedly"
Murgatroy replied to Lumber_Jack's topic in General Chat
I hate to hear this. Not because I like or dislike Will Hayden, but because as a father, it infuriates me and fills me with such rage that this happens (in this instance yet to be proven, but proven in a million other cases) on a daily basis. What happened to men protecting their daughters? -
I just posted this exact same thing in another thread, but by golly it just fits in both spots. I had a road rage incident once, told the dispatcher that I was stopping my car because I had reached my destination, that I was armed, and as I had a small child with me, I was in fear for her life. They had a cruiser there before I found a parking spot. The gist of it was some cat talking on his phone, I pass him in a passing lane. Not a two lane, a three lane truck lane passing lane. Ten minutes later he decides he wants to help push me down the road for a good ten miles. So when he finally got the chance to pass me, I gave him a little toot of my horn, as he nearly hit me, the car next to us and me again as he cut back over. He gunned it down the road, pulled over and stood on the side of the road like an angry baboon who had stepped on a beehive. So my daughter and I continued on our way. He then decided to follow me, weaving in and out of traffic, laying on the horn and screaming words that my daughter only hears when her mother is playing video games. I did the logical thing and grabbed one of my cells and called the police. Told them where I was, what I was driving, where he was, what he was driving and where I was going. Like I mentioned above, I informed them I was armed, and sure enough, there was a cruiser there waiting when we got there. The guy went speeding off and well, I never heard anything about it again.
