  1. Unless they have recently amended the laws, it is legal to cut a shotgun barrel shorter than 18.5" as long as the overall length of the previously pistol grip only shogun is still over 26".   Thus the 14" barrel on a Mossberg 500 with a birdshead grip is over 26" and is still legal as it started out as a FIREARM and not a shotgun. If it had a stock, it started as a shotgun.   I am not 100% certain of the legalities, or the loopholes, but I do know it has been discussed here several times, as well as the fact that several vendors sell them and plainly state they are not NFA items.     Google is your friend.     http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/79758-anyone-have-a-non-nfa-14-firearm/   http://augerprecisionfirearms.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=111
  2. I thought he lost a coin toss.
  3. That is one of my favorite parts of the Outlaw movement, everyone sang everyone else's songs.    I am also a huge fan of Shel Silverstein, John Prine, Bobby Bare, Steve Goodman Jerry Jeff Walker and all of their contemporaries too.   I was raised on DAC, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Priest and CDB. It was a fun time growing up, I wouldn't wish it on anyone else, but it opened a lot of doors for me musically.
  4. Yeah, that looks like someone attempted to gain access. If you are fast, kicking a door in works. But it is obvious, and any passer-by can call the cops. Much better to jimmy the door and then close and lock it behind you.
  5. I love to listen to Willie's songs, I hate to hear Willie sing them.   I am a fan of all five men there, and a fan of a Waylon and Bocephus' sons as well.   I personally think that Shooter is one of the most underrated musicians of the last ten to fifteen years.
  6.     I believe in the death penalty. I don't believe in the mockery it has become. Twenty appeals, millions of dollars and a circus. If you are tried and found guilty and thus sentenced to death, one appeal, to begin immediately should be enough to ensure a mistake wasn't made. Death within a year. Simple as that.   Someone should not live life in prison awaiting the death penalty. Nor should we spend millions of dollars on an inmate. Prison isn't meant to be a place of television, computers and video games. It is punishment.
  7. It was a jug a wine and a piece of bread shown after she gave Jax the blanket. I suppose that it was a reference to the sacrament, blood and body of Christ. As Jax also spread his arms wide is if he were being crucified moments prior to meeting the truck.   Some are seeing a plethora of religious references there. The Ghost has been seen not only before important deaths, but life changing events in the series as well. Sutter has said she is meant to be whatever you (the viewer) perceives. I have often felt she was an angel of death, or judgement at the lest.   Some are seeing, and I disagree, that Jax was a relation to Christ, and he died for the sins of the club. Jax died for his own sins. Which were numerous.
  8. I really liked the throwback to Opie when he was leaving the warehouse. I think that was what really closed it for me.   Between SoA and Breaking Bad, I am thankful that recent shows have had good endings, well, fulfilling. After all, at the end of the day, the bad guys lose.
  9. Congratulations!
  10. I was satisfied with that.
  11. I always wanted to dress up as a Furry and go to one of their conventions. It seems to me that trying new and interesting things is a thrilling way to live life.   Much better than doing nothing and complaining about everything.
  12. I was mocked the other night in chat here when I made the confession that I love me some Rock-a-Billy music.   I tried getting the wife to embrace the lifestyle with me, but she wouldn't. Se we stayed squares.
  13. The accessories that keep hitting the market amaze me. It is at times hard to believe that the AR is a 55 year old design.
  14. On the flip side of that, I have done a fair number of 'freebies' only to have the same 'customer' return over and over expecting free help.
  15. Looks good!   Be careful they can be addictive. You will find that every time you see a new AR configuration, you start pricing things in your head.
  16. Ford has put all it's eggs in this Ecoboost basket, and I like it.   The Expedition doesn't even come with an optional V8 anymore, the 3.5 Ecoboost is the only available engine.   I am really really keen on the `15 F-150 in all aluminum. I was amazed to see that the 3.5 Ecoboost is rated for more towing capacity than the 5.0 Coyote.   But then again, outside of a rat rod Toyota, we only have Fords in this family, from the `00 Explorer to our daily drivers of a `13 Mustang and `14 Fiesta.
  17. And Jury was a Son as well.     The tone of the interview I took it to mean main cast though.       I will admit that if Jax survives, I will be disappointed. While Sutter has said over and over that it is NOT a modern telling of Hamlet, it is, and Jax has to die. And I never liked him anyways.
  18. Juice is a former member. Not a current member.
  19. When Brooke's character is introduced she throws a rock through the window of the ice cream shop. Jax goes to her home to speak to her father and that is when the father explains to Jax that his wife, her mother was killed as a result of J.T.'s accident, I can't remember if it specified, the back up, the truck, or how, just that it was directly related to her death. As a result of this, Brooke blames the MC for her mother's death, which is why she threw the rock through the window. There is a picture on the table or mantle of the mother, and it is the homeless woman. Jax picks the picture up and makes the comment "I have seen her before," and the father responded something along the lines of "A lot of people say that." I am paraphrasing of course, as I am going from memory here.   With the accusation from Jury that J.T. rode into that tractor trailer on purpose (the first of this accusation considering it was a plot point that Clay and Gemma killed him) I think that was a segue to the idea of Jax taking the noble out.   I could be wrong, I have been a lot in this series. I had it made up in my mind that every Son died this season, but that was wrong.   But I do firmly believe that Jax will die. Sutter said earlier in the season that only two Sons die this season. Bobby was one, and I am certain Jax will be the second.
  20. I think Chickie was only there because of his relationship with Sutter and Barclay, it was mentioned during the aftershow.    I was pleased to see him. I have been a fan of his ever since The Commish.   Him driving the truck would be an interesting touch.
  21. Jax will be riding along the road and see the homeless woman on the side. As she represents the Angel of Death (she is the ghost of Brooke's mother, who was killed as a result of J.T.'s accident,) she will be involved in Jax's death. It will happen at the same place his father went out, and he will see her, and lose control, maybe as a result of his recently revealed bum leg. He will slide off the road into the rock cliff that was only introduced in this season. And that will be the end of Jax.   Nero goes to his ranch with Wendy and all three kids and lives out his days as a retired pimp with a junkie whore.     The only thing that is bothering me is the tools. Why was Nero so intent on finding those tools, for what?
  22. I think the biggest appeal of the 10/22 is that you can buy a cheap $200 one brand new and make it what you want fairly cheap. Or rather expensive if that is your style.
  23. I saw all of that coming, and still can't believe that it did.
  24. According to UPS all the stuff I ordered last week will be here tomorrow.   But I have never complained about PSA's shipping, they have always done me right.
  25. That wasn't what I was expecting.
