Kentucky allows open carry without a CCDWP, it is not illegal to carry past a gun buster. It is pretty nice up here as far as guns go. The difference is we are taxed on the air we breathe. I won't say that I like it more than Tennessee, but it is home now and I am not sure I would be fond of leaving it. It is also worth noting at a CCDWP allow the carry of all sorts of groovy mall ninja stuff. Not just guns.

I have the compact version imported my Kahr/Magnum Research in full steel. I have always found the Jericho to be one of the best looking handguns on earth. While it is heavy, it soaks up recoil and is as accurate as I am. While it won't ever replace my Glock, it is easily one of my favorites.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Congratulations! You two raised a fine son.

The Dragon is a driver's road, not a car's road. I have kept up wiht 400+WHP cars in a 100WHP car. I have smoked late model Corvettes and Coyote Mustangs up there in my Cyclone V6 Mustang. But you raise a good point, it isn't about power.

I read an article this morning that suggested when the GT500 is reintroduced on the S550 platform that it too will have the Ecoboost living under the hood. With the Ford GT spec of course.

The holster on the left with the Jericho Compact was made by gjohnson here on the board. It drops the grip to just below belt level. It is really comfortable to wear, and really solidly made.

Wasn't I the guy that last you you all hated when I told you that the future was twin turbo V6 engines? I think it was the Ford GT thread... Granted, I am waiting on the GT350 to hit the market with the flat plane crank before I decide if I am done with V8s. ;)

I am rather fond of my toe shoes. And my cowboy boots. I don't think I could do cowboy sandals though. And I was raised Mormon.

I was given a 105 Pathfinder in the very early 80s. Has the flap sheath. I have carried that bugger more than any other belt knife I can think of. It is truly a great knife. It will be handed down to the next generation eventually. But not yet. I still like it.

I have a membership at Planet Fitness. I like it. I go later in the evening, and it is not empty, but it is not crowded. I have noticed that there are a few muscleheads, you can easily spot them, they always make a point of standing in front of the mirror to work out. But there are a lot more normal guys and gals than there are of them. I like the amount of equipment available, my wife is keen on the 30 minute work out sections they offer. I like being left alone, I come in, put my headphones in and do what I am there to do, and I have yet to be hassled by anyone. The fact that it is $10 a month (basic) for unlimited home gym useage is awesome. I was paying $70 a month for a Rush membership, and while there are a few significant differences, they aren't $60 worth for what I was using. My wife has the Black Membership. It is $20 and included half price drinks, free tanning booth usage and massage table usage. Along with unlimited access to all participating PF locations.

Falling Skies has gotten really bad over the last couple of seasons. I will watch it, because I have followed it from the beginning, but I am glad this is the last season. Between the three parent alien daughter and last season's word for work JFK speech, I am not sure how much more I can stomach. It does have it's saving graces, well, Pope, since he is the only character they haven't killed off that isn't a Mason yet. I enjoyed The Last Ship last year. Right now, my number one show of the summer is Defiance. I don't care much for SyFy's shows, but Defiance really stands apart in my opinion. Good writing and characters that are flawed while being well acted. For anyone that hasn't seen it, if you enjoyed the sci-fi/western aspect of Firefly/Serenity, I find this very similar, while being very different. It is currently in it's third season.

SLR's alternative ambi-charging handle to the Raptor
Murgatroy replied to Ted S.'s topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I run a BCM ambi latch myself on my main AR. I really like it, especially given the price of comparable ambi latches. I am not sure I will ever run anything else. -
I ate a fair amount of rabbit and squirrel growing up. I always found it a little greasier than I liked.

The problem is that it is too easy to blame the guns, the television, the music, the videogames, the religion, the lack of religion the lack of parenting, the potholes, the solar flares, etc than to look at the root problems and do something about it. And this exists on all sides of the argument. I don't know if there is an answer, or a solution. But I know that pointing fingers isn't it. And that is all we do anymore. Banning guns is like treating the symptoms, not curing the disease.

Well I am sure that young man asked permission before carrying into the church. Because more gun laws would have obviously stopped this catastrophe.

I know I handled one at Cabelas a few weeks ago chambered in .223, and it was a nice feeling rifle. I liked the minimalist finish, or lack of, on the stock. I have no opinion other than that though.

Bad guy with gun shot by good guy with gun
Murgatroy replied to chances R's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I love how the news article even insinuates that the shooting was illegal, then states that it was legal. Why do you even have to cast a shadow of doubt on what was in fact legal? -
Those are the ones that kill me. We can get rid of your minor problem that is an inconvenience, but we will give you ten major problems, and possibly death, oh and if you have any other issues, you problably shouldn't take this either. And then a year down the road, there will be one for a lawyer who is leading a class action suit against the aforementioned drug.

And why the hell isn't he wearing a belt? What the hell kind of man tucks his shirt in and doesn't wear a belt? WTF?!

Sounds like some winners. Off topic, I used to live in Indy, went to school up there. This story happened literally in front of my old house. http://fox59.com/2015/06/08/police-chase-ends-with-serious-crash-on-southeast-side/

Just to stir the pot... Who would it be that DIDN'T pass these things on to their children, and their children's children? Not trying to stand on a soapbox or anything, just trying to off a view without blinders on. If a child is raised wrong, is it the school's fault, or the parent's? Each generation laments about the loss of respect and decency in the world, yet at the end of the day, it is ourselves who are to blame. It is our generation that failed to properly prepare the generation we begat. Not the school, not the government, not the television, us, the parents. Myself? I know that my daughter isn't being raised the way I was. My senior citizen parent was a junkie who was self obsessed. My daughter is being raised by two loving parents that are concerned with her well being and future. Just some thoughts to mull over there. ;)

I have been using Virgin Mobile for fifteen years or more. It runs on Sprint's network. I paid $50? for my smartphone and I pay $25 and tax a month for 300 minutes and unlimited data and text. You can buy fancier phones, all the way up to iPhones and Galaxies. You will pay for them upfront. But you will pay much less a month than any other provider. The plan I use is grandfathered, I think it is $35 now.

That is a fixed carry handle, he doesn't want the F marked sight. The F marked sight is for flat tops.

What modems do you guys suggest to avoid renting?
