  1. That is some funny stuff right there.
  2. This won't last long.
  3. My main AR is all PSA with the premium upper. It is a good rifle, accurate, feeds anything. I have built three PSA lowers with three PSA premium uppers, FN barrels, the works. I honestly can't imagine paying more for another brand as well as they have worked. I have a PTAC upper sitting on an Anderson lower, and it is the one I complained about not shooting steel case, though it eats brass fine. If I could be bothered, I might shoot it more and break it in, but it was just to have, cause it was cheap. This is my 'go-to' AR. PSA lower, PSA Premium upper, midlength, 14.7" pinned and welded. BCM Ambi CH, Del-Ton ambi safety, all Magpul furniture... I wouldn't hesitate to build it all over again. You couldn't buy it off the shelf for 150% of what I have in it.
  4. If I were to build an AR9 it would have to feed from Glock mags. Cause I have a lot of them, including a Beta Mag.   The Quarter Circle 10 looks to be a good choice.    This might be my next build.   Dammit.
  5. I watched it, it wasn't bad. I like Kim Dickens and Cliff Curtis, so it has that going for it.
  6.     You are both almost right.   It is the super elusive Black House Panther!                 Or a regular feral domesticated cat. One of the deadliest hunters in society.
  7. My PSA premium build would eat the steel. The PTAC would not. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  8. I built a PTAC rifle on an Anderson lower at the beginning of the year? I have run ~200 rounds through it, I just built it because I couldn't pass it up. I think it was $360 for the complete kit, midlength all standard. I put a $10 UTG sight on top of it and a $10 milspec mag in it. So I was in it for something like $450 or so, I can't recall, I had a thread on it.   It shot great, just like everything else I have from PSA, HOWEVER, it would not reliably feed steel case. I ran the same mag (after 5+ failure to feed malfunctions) with no changes through my PSA premium build and it ate them all like a fat kid eats twinkies.   That is something to take into account, as when I mentioned that, other folks mentioned the same.   I understand not shooting steel case in a more expensive rifle, but for a $450 beater AR, I would prefer to shoot cheap steel case in it and not have to worry about higher prices, higher quality, ammo or rifle. For a range toy.       http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/87412-450-ar/
  9. The liberal Hollywood machine continues to make violent movies, all while demanding that no one have access to the same things portrayed in their 'art.'   Myself, I like a good blow-em-up movie, always have. I just can't help but laugh at all the talking about what a violent nation we are, and it is the same liberals who whine about it that produce it.   As I have said before though, I ignore what they say as long as they can sing and dance well enough to entertain me, that is their job. I don't care how flaming liberal Matt Damon (or current action star/antigun mouthpiece) is, he can act, he entertains me.   I don't do movie theaters, I avoid crowds. That means I am normally five years or more behind the curve on films. And television. I stay to busy most of the time to sit and waste two hours on the couch.
  10. The truth is that I hate that it happened. But it really did work out for the best. My former boss told me as I was walking out that it would be okay, he knew I would land on my feet. I personally like the guy and I have talked to him daily since this went down. He had nothing to do with my being fired. It was hard to see it at the time, I mean there were so many emotions going through my mind at the time. I didn't know which way was up or down. But I suppose he was right.   I knew that 10 years of experience in such a specialized field was a boon, I just didn't realize that we are so rare. One of the companies I interviewed for said they had been searching for five months and hadn't found a candidate with half my qualifications. The problem is that the term 'dispatcher' is used colloquially for a CSR at many maintenance companies, thus it is an entry level position. But a Dispatcher Planner is something much, much more. Many of the calls I got were just that, "Hey, we have this position, you will be answering the phone, it pays $9-12 an hour..." The rest were "Oh, you are an honest to goodness professional dispatcher for a national fleet!"   The fact that this company is family owned, been in business for 40 years, and is looking for ways to stay at the top of the food chain is what got me. I don't know if I can do the corporate grind again. Being interviewed by the owner, and his son and then being told that I would be working hand in hand with them to find their new software was a nice touch. I am not a job jumper, and I am loyal to a fault. I told them. "I have a cat that showed up at my door step ten years ago, she knew the second she saw it that inside, was her forever home. That is what I thought I had, that is what I am looking for."   The future is bright, and damn, I feel pretty fine about myself right now.
  11. Please allow me to introduce myself, I am the Dispatch Manager and Software Integration Specialist for Dauenhauer Plumbing. The largest privately owned plumbing company in the state of Kentucky.   I accepted the position this morning. It is a raise, and a promotion from where I was. It is a more relaxed atmosphere and I will be instrumental in big changes at the company. I will be helping select the new software and phone system, participating in the construction and layout of a new building for my department and then training my department in the best way to do the job. After that I will be on the continuous lookout for new software and technological advances to keep my company on the cutting edge of the plumbing industry as technology leaders.   The statement was "We knew where we needed to be, we had no idea how to get there, then you walked in the door as the solution to everything we needed.
  12. I wish you luck, but in a situation like that, it is either meant to run someone off, or everyone.
  13. Are they going to charge him with robbing over bait?
  14.   I have been thinking all night about what they want, and I already have a plan in place once I get some questions answered. So I think in my mind it is already a done deal. I still have some emails and phone calls to return, but we will see. This whole thing has really surprised me. I feel like I am watching a movie. My mind has been screaming and losing it, but my body has been getting up and walking, being relaxed and calm. I didn't speak, I gathered my belongings and walked out of the building. Through the entire thing I haven't stopped doing exactly what needed to be done to move forward. Phone calls to my references, phone calls to any contact that could help me forward. Writing a resume, filling out applications, going to work at other pizza places, and being a rockstar there ("Hey, are you familiar with the area? You are doing awesome!" "No, I have never been within fifty miles of this place. I have a GPS, can read a map like a book and have been dispatching deliveries for over ten years.")   I guess the word would be surreal. Going through buying the house was the same way. Growing up how I did and being the man I am today often amazes me. There are times that my mind checks out and just stands there wondering where it all came from and how I do it, but at the end of the day, I just keep on keeping on. Even now, having a family, a wife, daughter, a house, two new cars, when I think of where I started in life and the things I have done, I feel like the richest man in the world.   That made me seriously laugh. What ever happened to that cat, didn't he come back and say that he had gotten another pizza job?
  15. Kentucky is where I have made my home. I don't have family outside of my wife and daughter. My wife has created a career here, and my daughter has been in the same school since kindergarten. While Tennessee will always be 'home' to me, Kentucky is home to my family.   My part time job really came through for me, the District Manager met with me tonight while I was working at another store and told me that anything I needed, to just ask. I told him all I needed was hours until I could get everything figured out. He told me that any and all available hours at any district store I wanted to be at would be mine. I am currently picking up hours at three different area locations.   So with that said, I have nothing buy great things to say about Domino's and it's people. My wife is even greatly impressed with how they have reacted. I literally told my manager on Tuesday what happened, and within an hour she had me hours for the rest of the week at another store.   That meant a lot.   I have several folks calling and emailing me, so that is good, but the main prospect right now is the job I interviewed for this afternoon. I am thinking very hard about it, it would be a good challenge and I think that I am more than capable of what they want. I am just having a little self doubt. Until this week, I had never been fired, never been formally reprimanded, never had any major failings. I am sure that is to be expected.
  16. The truth is still working its way out. The headcount is still going up. The investigation Is still going on and is getting worse. Honestly I am glad I am gone. Obviously it will be a lot worse off a place to work when this is done. I had my first interview this morning. Less than twenty four hours after being fired. They made me a very nice offer. I already took their drug test, though I haven't accepted their offer. I told them my family is first. They want to meet my family, as they liked my honesty and candor in regards to my priorities. At the very least, I feel a thousand times better. I have also received head hunting calls from our biggest competitor. The rumor got back to me a minute ago that I had accepted that position. I liked that call, the fear in my former managers voice. I am good. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk
  17. Let's go to a job interview.   I got an email about a dispatching position at 7am this morning.
  18. Absolutely. I was jaded with my job, but I never would have done something as drastic as quit, or sought alternate employment. This is for the best. It just hurts right now. Today.
  19. It would be easier to think that, but it isn't, it is just my own stupidity. HR is a dedicated team of devils. And once they got a whiff of something, they went insane over it. I just got a text a minute ago, total count is over 15 now.
  20. Because the firearm left my trunk for the purpose of a transfer I am not protected via the law. I forget the exact case, but it went through the courts here and the company was found justified because the firearm left the vehicle.
  21. I have spent the entire afternoon hammering out a rough resume and applying to a dozen jobs through various 'job sites.' While things are going to be extremely tight for the near future, I am sure I will be fine.   At least I hope so. Sadly the Kentucky Gun Forums Classifieds aren't as active as the ones here on TGO, otherwise I would have a good back-up plan. ;)
  22. It is my understanding that anyone that who's name was mentioned as being involved, was interviewed and subsequently terminated. The long tearful farewell I received explicitly mentioned consistency in the disciplinary action. My department was a very close and tight department, it was four of us who handled a dozen states. My departure very much so hurt them as our manager is going to be on extended leave for surgery. I have no doubt in my mind this was an act performed by a bean counter who has absolutely no idea of who I am beyond the statements made during the investigation.   I could possibly pursue a course of legal actions, but I am pretty sure it would wind up with me spending a fair amount of money with naught to gain.
  23. I have a part time job that I have been doing for a while, so I will just pick up hours there, but it is still a significant pay cut losing my primary job. The downside is that my job was very specialized and there are only a handful of companies that do what I did. The upside is that it is very specialized and I have ten years experience in it.
  24. Yeah, that would be nice, but that isn't the way the company works. They are a massive corporation. With one of the largest fleets in the nation. Everything is a number to them. Every liability a lawsuit. There was a time, when I hired in, that it is a personable company, and something like this wouldn't even have drawn a rebuke.
