  1. Knox Nation sounds like a interesting place. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  2. Several stores in the Louisville, KY area were hit a few months back with this same MO. Drive a stolen car through the front doors, loot madly for a few minutes, run. They caught those guys, and I hope they catch these guys.
  3. Wow! I was waiting for the return at the end, and I was impressed.
  4. Spelling isn't their strong point.
  5. I am pretty sure we have all the books in the collection. We have an entire wall of our living room that is a solid bookshelf. I would estimate that we have easily over 1500 books in our home. We were sad to hear of her passing, Llama Llama Red Pajama was honestly my favorite book to read to my daughter at bedtime when she was still into things like that.
  6. Until we moved from Tennessee several years back, my daughter got the books from her Imagination Library regularly. One of our favorites were the Llama books. "Stop this baby llama momma drama!" is one of my favorite literary lines of all time.
  7. Those butterfly sights are tickling my fancy.
  8. I cancelled cable. My money is on Michonne.
  9. My daughter refuses to have a pink rifle. She wants it black. With 'Death Skulls!'
  10. It wasn't a half bad video. There were a lot of artists that had an impact in modern country, and a lot missing. It was nice to see Brooks and Dunn together again. I don't listen to this new 'Bro Country.' I like Brad Paisley and I don't hold him or Toby Keith accountable for what country music became, even if they did start it. But I don't listen to much that has come out in the last 15-20 years. I much prefer some of the old outlaw country. Give me some DAC, Jerry Jeff, any of the Highwaymen (except Willie, I think he is a great writer, but I can't stand to hear him sing,) Billy Joe Shaver, I am a huge John Prine fan. I consider Alabama the Rolling Stones of country Music and I personally think it is the worlds biggest shame that Shooter Jennings isn't a household name. He has more talent in a finger than Jason Aldean has managed to hire. I like some of the new wave of outlaw, Jamey Johnson is a great musician. I like some Eric Church and Zac Brown Band. But even then it is more southern rock than it is country. I grew up on Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers, so I can dig that. Even if I do think Metallica is the greatest band to ever walk the earth, that if the Kinks had been on our shore first no one would remember the Beatles and that Cake is the most under appreciated band ever, I like me some country music. As a matter of fact, the only music I can't find something to enjoy is Jazz. God, I hate jazz.
  11. It is my understanding that a lot of motorcycle enthusiasts, everywhere, ride without the endorsement. I would assume it is like sport fishing to find a reason to pull them over and throw back the legal ones...
  12. Nice. I bought a Sporty this summer and I don't know how I ever lived without it. How do you like that new Milwaukee Eight?
  13. I have always thought those were good looking pistols.
  14. Arcan Cetin. Born in Turkey.
  15. I have built several ARs at this point. I built one to see how cheap I could, and it ran my $450. My daughter loves it. She has a blast with it. And to be fair she is one of the highest ranked shooters in her age group in the state. I have built some not so cheap ones, and the one I consider my go to is not a cheap on, but not an expensive one. It was built to do what it does and all the parts were chosen to suit what I wanted. It was about double the cheap one. However it was still half the cost of buying one with similar features from a higher end company. The rest I have built were all middle of the road and come in at or around the $600 range. It comes down to what you want and what you are willing to spend, but I think your estimate of $700 on the low end is exceptionally high for a build in today's (or well, this week's) market.

    AK Mistake

I have all Magpul furniture on my AKM. It is fine. I have all Magpul furniture on a few of my ARs too. And the magazines for my Glock, and the case for my phone... Oh... I think I have a problem.
  17. I am just glad you didn't hurt the Chihuahua. Honestly I don't think you did anything wrong.
  18. I did this as a kid. $.25 pack of gum, no tax, you got $.75 back and could go to the pool for the day. Cheap babysitting. As a child, I thought nothing of it.
  19. I love how in the article I read this morning about both incidents nothing was said other than "do not believe... terror related..." Nothing was mentioned regarding the security guard's faith. Whitewash the truth, it doesn't happen. It was the gun communities fault, even though neither incident involved a gun.
  20. I am not a musician. I am a hack that makes noise with my instruments. If that counts here is a picture.
  21. Metallica is my favorite band hands down. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  22. Kentucky has a two minute/cycle law that allows a bike to run the light.
  23. I think it will be fun, and while I did have to drag the Heathen away from her video games, I think she will have good memories of this. Or at least I hope does.
  24. Today was the State Match. Her first year. Six months? since we started this as trip as a competition shooter. She came in 5th Overall in individual for .22 Target in her age group of 9-11 with a score of 104. Her team took 1st. She also scored the highest of anyone on our team in Recurve Archery in her age bracket at 25, however it was not high enough to place. For a first year, and quite a packed crowd, I was very impressed. Only 5 kids in her age group scored over 100 in .22 Target, with the highest being 179, her teammate and good friend. We are VERY proud of all the kids from Shelby County. Her friend, the same mentioned above also came in first for Target Air Rifle. I do believe she will be getting fitted for her jacket. The Heathen's final discipline was BB, however that was an extremely competitive field with all the top shooters shooting well above 250. While we nearly broke 200, it was not enough to place in the top ten. Next year looks very promising for her, I have already made the deal that if she brings home two separate 1st Place trophies from any invitational, or a single 1st place from State, I will buy her a $200 set of rhinestone covered eyes and ears from a local shop. She is ecstatic. We will take her to a final end of year shoot at the practice fields where I will let her loose with her AR and some Tannerite to show off to her friends.
  25. That is totally not the kinda MJ Dealer I first thought of.
