My labs are black. And mixed. Bandit came from here on the site, and is the best dog ever. Brigand was a rescue from a shelter, and she is a good dog. You wouldn't knew they weren't full lab unless told. They are great pets and I would be lost without them. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

Iver Johnson L'il Champ. Single shot bolt action .22. In one of maybe ten memories I have of my father, I was about five and he took me to a gunshow. He taught me how to hold it, to point in a safe direction, then bought it for me. My mother was staunchly anti-gun. To the point of any toy gun I brought home vanishing. I can't honestly say I was ever allowed to shoot it. I gave it to my daughter and started her shooting it when she was four. For those that don't know the rest of that story she is eleven (next month) and has a deep stack of trophies from her shooting sports. I am not sure I still have the rifle for sentimental reasons, it shoots very poorly, and was not taken care of at all for the first half of my life when it couldn't touch it. But I have it all the same.

Hehe, Oh, Tennessee regs and ins... How I miss you. Stagger your fleet so you don't have to pay regs for six vehicles at once? Not in Kentucky. Your birthday is in July, ALL of them are due in July. Oh, and lets go ahead an add a property tax to each vehicle as well. Oh, you sold that vehicle two years ago and the new owner never registered it, you better pay those taxes too, or we won't allow you to renew ANYTHING. Guess homeboy will be pissed as hell when he finds out that I 'junked' that title. I used to complain when I paid ~90 a year, per vehicle regs in Knoxville. Kentucky I am dropping between $150 and $200 a year, per vehicle. Then there is the fact that my auto insurance has more than doubled. Same vehicles, the day I moved my insurance went from $90 a month in Tennessee to $205 a month. Even with good credit. As it sits now, we shop our insurance out every year. I pay my motorcycle insurance by the year. $300. My Celica is an antique and I have been through several policies that refuse to allow her any status, even though she sits in my garage and sees <100mi a year. We went independent this year. Home, auto, bike. We are saving over $1500 a year compared to our last policy. I think we have Progressive for the bike and AAA for home and auto. With considerably more coverage that we did with Allstate or Geico before them.

I am highly interested.

Well at least I know what I would do if I had more money than Bill Gates... or is it Jeff Bezos today?

Been in Kentucky for nearly six years, never left TGO. Oh, and my F-i-L is in Arab.

I am a car guy. I have a rattletrap turbo Celica in my garage, next to my late model Mustang and my Harley Sportster. My work pays for my fuel and vehicle so I drive a `14 Chevy Express daily. My wife drives a `14 Fiesta. I have always been envious of technology advances and watched hawkishly how they are applied to my favorite hobby, yes, guns are a secondary to cars for me. I am personally thrilled with what Elon Musk has done, and if a Model S were in my budget, I would have bought one. A Model 3 however, is in my budget. And I want one. I will probably wait until late `18MY or early `19MY to see what bugs need worked out, but it is well within reason that my wife will be replacing her Fiesta (which WROCKS! at 45+ MPG when I drive) with a Model 3 as opposed to the Outback she thinks she wants. I have very briefly run the numbers and it seems that even at 45mpg (the wife averages 28!?) the Model 3 will be a cheaper investment fuel (energy) wise than the Fiesta. ANNNNNND... As I rate things on ZPAW Utility scale, a solar array to power an electric vehicle would be much more feasible than scavenging guzzoline from the Warboys.

I gotta admit, that is all kinds of badass.

I will preface this by saying I am not a Tom Cruise the person fan. However, short of War of the Worlds, I can't think of a film that Tom Cruise did not entertain me. I find him a satisfactory actor.

Motorcycle wreck, KNoxville area. No graphic pictures

I own a bike, and I throw my leg over it every day scared to death that it might be my last time. It doesn't stop me. I have taken courses, and logged thousands of miles. I like to think I ride responsibly, and like driving a car, I do most of the time. But all of us would be a liar so say that we ALWAYS followed ALL the laws ALL the time. Riding a bike is not like driving a car. Other than the fact of operating a vehicle, they have very little in common. Regardless of whose fault it was, or the outcome, it sucks what happened. For both operators. And with all that said, even for the Harley Haters. They have an ad that states "If you wait to live your dreams, your kids will miss the lesson. Set the example by living yours, today." It is rather poignant as a parent. And a lesson I don't want to lose with my heathen, regardless of the result. And helmet laws be damned (I live in Kentucky) I wear one. -
News: Armed Robbery w/ a Twist

How did the second accomplice get away with $1000? -
You underestimate what these bored kids can do. They are the same ones that provide Wikileaks hacked emails, were responsible for "The Fappening" and write new ransomware daily. Think darkly enough and they hacked Clinton's email, and rigged the election. Hiding your head in the sand and saying some bored kids can't to that is being very naive. My daughter is eleven and can hack game code to rewrite games. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

I think some folks are oversimplifying the impact. Some bored script kiddy that us tired of crashing PSN and XBoxlive might find it funny to crash the grid. Sure, I am not dependant on welfare. But if the food in my fridge spoils, I can't go to Kroger and buy more milk with my debit card, tied to a bank full of money. When my stockpile of water is gone, I can't go to Costco and buy another pallet. With my debit card... I can't use my fuel card to get gas, to go to work. I can't work as there is no electricity to power my tools. I can't pay my mortgage, because I can't work. I can't pay my mortgage because I can't access my bank to make an EFT. I can't use my phone. None of this at all involves me sucking on anyone's teat. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

It is always a good time. Pretty big deal up here, and always a good line-up.

I was a founding member of a car site well over a decade (and a half) ago. Being a member of the community for another half decade before that. I have been the admin of said site for at least a decade. While the hosting is covered, I do have a monthly fee I pay that goes toward hosting and the cat who handles our coding. At this point it isn't a viable site, it is just a spot to hold information, tech tips and history/progress of a car that was discontinued by it's company more than a decade ago. I am also the only 'regular/founding' member that doesn't do social media. I honestly believe if I were on Facebook, the owner of the site would shut it down and move all the write ups and tech tips to an archive somewhere. Development on the site stalled at least five years ago and we have less than a thousand active members, with maybe twenty unique daily log ins. We have been a close community for many years, as stated above. We have all gotten together for two yearly meets that are our general vacations, one for the West Coast in Canada, and one for the East Coast in Tennessee. We have been meeting at the Tail of the Dragon regularly for seventeen years. We have had several members pass on the site, one I mentioned here was a police officer in Jackson Mississippi, whom I was blessed to know well and consider a close friend. When he passed we had folks drive/fly in from North Dakota, Chicago, Utah, Maryland, Atlanta, Kentucky, Alabama and more to attend his private service. I told his widow when I walked in with twenty cats (my car load alone had been without sleep for a combined 72 hours as I had a ND cat with me) that "I said I would be here. I said we would all be here." But again, at this point I consider that site a legacy and personal venture. Even a labor of love. Every year on April Fool's Day I ask for a random volunteer. Then I ban them for the day. All these years later, I still get folks that volunteer. Now, to be honest, if I were still in Tennessee, TGO would be a site I would consider paying for. I know that I could anyways, and the site could always use the money, but as I am a state away, I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea as to buying and selling.

I am a huge zombie fan, more specifically, Romero Zombies. Dawn of the Dead is one of the greatest social commentaries of our time. I would request he rest in peace, but I suspect he will be back. See what I did there?

I went to high school with a girl that was on Jerry, or Maury or one of the exploitation shows. That was her small claim to fame. Or mine I suppose, as I knew her. Her excuse was she was sex addict. She was dating a friend of mine at the time of airing, she was actually my ride to work. She was crazy, yeah the kind you want no part of. I rapidly found a new way to work, and my friend found a new girlfriend. My ex as a matter of fact, but that is another story, for another time...

I have been getting tattooed for over twenty years, and it wasn't until this year that I sat back and said "Damn, this could be painful if I wasn't a masochist." I attribute it to getting older.

They aren't cheap, that is for sure. I make a lot of cracks about the cats that buy high end guns and could buy several Glocks for the same price, then I think about the money I have tied up in just one arm... and the number of Glocks it translates to. Most shops have a sign that reads "Good tattoos aren't cheap, and cheap tattoos aren't good." It is the truth.

I see Outlaws nearly daily up here in Louisville. I get a bigger kick out of the local 'Steel Order' or such chapter that touts themselves as a nonconventional club, and they wear the Kentucky Rocker. Then they go on to say how they refuse to pay tribute to the governing MC in the area (which I believe are the Outlaws,) and how they will not cower. I haven't heard of anything more than fisticuffs, but I think it is funny. I don't think the fee is that much a year for the rocker, and it comes with a few perks. I had a pair of uncles that were Outlaws. I lived a couple of blocks away from their Clubhouse in Indianapolis. I am far from well versed in the ways of 1% MCs, but I do have a friend that is a 'hangaround.' Most of what I know came from Sons of Anarchy. I am however just a heavily tattooed and pierced guy that rides a highly customized Harley.

Christmas In July 2017 - Benefactor Membership Give A Way!!!
Murgatroy replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
I am always impressed with the community here. I do not wish to enter, as being in Kentucky would eliminate my from most sales transactions. I just wanted to be a part of the thread and declare my gratitude. -
<insert tragic broken home/gutter trash/drugs and abuse raising with a dash of fostercare here> Left home at seventeen, never looked back. After a long series of bad decisions I pulled my act together and went to school for Computers and Electronics Engineering Technologies. Used that and a strong work ethic to buffalo my way into a job as a Dispatch and Logistics Manager role for about fifteen years. Now I am a plumber, and I have never been happier. Or making better money. I am married, with a child, two black labs and a cat. We have a nice home, in a nice neighborhood with nice things. We support one another and create a good home for our daughter. I have my cars and bikes and guns and guitars. Overall, I know it isn't a competition, but as a gamer (console and PC) I often times am overcome and sit back and think to myself, "I won."

My wife won't let me have an Echo. I did order a high end gaming mouse at about half price. I never would have bought something like that otherwise. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
