Dragon Nazi Steampunk Samurai Gangster Pinup Action

That looks like awesome on so many different levels. That might just be original enough to get me back to the theatres... -
That must have happened right after I drove through there. I go through there a couple of times a day.

Congratulations, it is good to know that someone somewhere had enough sense to know something skillfully crafted when they saw it.

Yeah, that is a bit of a hike from Knoxville. I feel for you though. What does this weekend look like for you guys?
-
Good luck. When times are better, just remember, there is no place like Tennessee. It is home.

We have had several retreads fail on our trailers as well as the drive axles on our tractors. However, I can not say whether it was due to tire pressure or not. These are recent occurrences. And it was not because of overloading. And the steer tire retread ban is Federal.
-
That is what I was just about to say. It runs me ~$200 a piece for retreads on my trailers and drive axles, but I have to run $400 new tires on my steer axles. With that thought in mind, I would not put retreads on a four wheeler I intended to drive daily. An offroad rig, sure.

I think my boss is afraid I'm gonna go on a shooting spree.

The company I work for requires all management to take foolish little training courses. They are boring online 'classes' that you have to sit and watch. They take maybe 30 minutes. We have to take two or three a month. One of the classes I took last month was about 'proper hiring and firing.' They gave a list of warning signs to look out for on unstable workers, and then gave a list of how best to deal with them when it came time to terminate. One of the things they listed was 'Firearms Fascination.' Frankly it pissed me off. Now on to what was said. Another poster mentioned something, wanting to make sure you have money put back. Great point. There was a young man I worked with, wanted to buy my bike. Had been on and on about it for a couple of months. He comes to me one night as I was leaving and told me he would be by to pay for it the next day. However, I knew that he was about to get fired for poor performance and tardiness. I didn't tell him that, but I did make an excuse as to why I couldn't sell the bike until the next week. Knowing that he was about to get fired, I could not take his money. He was fired that night. The best way to exceed at work is to go in and do your job. You aren't paid to socialize. You aren't paid to be a friend. I have managed quite a few Pizza Joints. Come in, do your job, don't steal and there is no reason not to be there for years. Working at a Pizza Joint (be it Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's or other) is a fun job. You can have a lot of fun at the job. However that doesn't mean you can't do the job while having fun. As a driver, you have more freedom than a lot of folks in the workplace. Because of this, others can be more critical of your performance. Believing that you are not doing all you could be. They aren't in the car with you. They don't know everything that goes on while you are out delivering. There are a lot of things that can slow you up. My advice would be to walk the line. Go in, do your job. I don't know how your place works, I don't know if you are a closer or not. Don't get greedy, follow the rules, if that is two and out, don't take three. Don't claim extra coupons at the end of the night if they aren't legit. If you are hanging with co-workers after the shift, stop. This is your ass on the line, not theirs. If you have any questions, ask them. But for the workplace, just go in and focus on your job. -
That is interesting...

Sold out.

That is the single ugliest gun I have ever seen. I thought modern Hi-Points were ugly, this... this, there are not words for.

T/C also makes a single shot, break action .45LC/.410. It is possible this is what your friend saw as he described them as 'dueling pistols.' As mentioned the Judge (chambered in .45LC/.410) is becoming very popular. There are also derringer style pistols made by Bond in this chamber. There are a number of other manufacturers as well, but not as common. As to the .44 being shot out of a .410, I have heard this all of my life, but I have never met anyone that has tried it. I am thinking it was a misnomer, where folks meant the .45LC/.410 combo.

And at what point did it seem like a good idea to use a large caliber round as a hammer? Idiots come in all shapes and size...

I like it, I had a `70 F250 similar to it when I was about 18. Learned to drive stick in that thing, three on the tree.

The one in Texas was DNA tested to be a coyote with severe mange. From the pictures, some of those look like raccoons with mange as well. -
If the price is within $50-$100 of internet prices, I would without a doubt buy it from a LGS. Even though JG has WASRs for $390, after $30 in shipping and $40 in a background and transfer, you are only paying $40 more from a local at $500, for the gun you held in your hand, as opposed to one that might have everything canted and dinged.

I think he is talking about the amount of stitching, especially if you are hand stitching. If a belt is 40" and you stitch both sides (top and bottom) you are stitching 80" of belt. If you do a holster, you might be stitching 30" to get the pattern done.
-
Same thought I was having! I was impressed overall though.

The more and more I see these efforts from folks the more and more I want to try this. I have heard a Sharpie marker works well for a boning tool as well. -
Was it for sale? Where at? I always thought an AWD Camaro would be awesome.
-
It seems I could take 34 of the little buggers.

I own a copy of Krull. I remember that twenty some years ago, it was awesome. Oddly enough, I haven't watched in twenty some years. I find that many times, the movie is better remembered, as opposed to rewatched and ruined.

An old Tom Hanks movie called Mazes and Monsters. My wife bought it for me several years ago because she knows I used to play D&D. After watching it, she apologized profusely, she had no idea it was so corny.

You could get a complete 9mm upper for the 23. That would solve the breach face problem. However, by that point you are getting into the price range of a decent used Gen 2 19. I carry a Gen 3 19. I love it. I honestly have a hard time picturing carrying anything else. My Glock is stock. I wouldn't change a thing about it. I will admit that the trigger took some getting used to. IMO since you are already used to the Gen 2 style frame, and you are fond of it, find a Gen 2 19. This gives you two factory reliable guns. Plus, the KCI mags (which I own about a dozen of) don't have the world's best reputation. I have yet to have one fail in the gun, and I have used them all through several reloads. However I have had issues with the slide stop not functioning with them, and the spring feeling weak when hand stripping rounds. If you bought a new Glock, it would come with Glock magazines.
