This. We just went through this with my mother. She didn't have the strength to work a double action trigger on a revolver, however she was able to work the slide on a S&W Sigma in 9mm using the above method.

Probably just a random prop, was it me, or did it look like they had a chain as the stringer? Overall, I really liked this episode. I felt that it lived up to the hype of the first episode. Still some drama, and interpersonal relations and character development, and some gratuitous zombie killing as well. I am starting to like Darryl Dixson, he is a hotheaded redneck, but he listens to Rick. I kinda hope his character sticks around.

I am really digging this week's episode. That was an interesting twist inside the compound.

I took her out today and let her handle a slew of guns. We tried some Taurus .38SPLs, a S&W Airweight, a Taurus 709, a Ruger SR9 and a S&W Sigma SW9VE. I told her that price wise, since she has to buy the ammo, I would prefer her to have either a .38SPL, or a 9mm. Those were what we looked at, and she liked the ammo prices as well. It was touch and go for a while, she couldn't work the double action on the revolvers, she couldn't work the slide on the Taurus or the Ruger, then she picked up the Sigma. I was starting to worry I was gonna have to drop more money and get her a Glock, she likes my 19 and has shot it a lot. The Sigma made her happy. She could work the slide, and she liked the way it felt. Taking her with me to let her pick out her own gun was the right move. She even said she wanted the extra mags with it. So much for my rebate. I bought her 200 rounds of some CCI Blazer and 16 rounds of some Rem Golden Saber I have. We took it and shot the stuffing out of it. She is a fair shot with it at 20yds. And thankfully she likes it, and she will use it. So for anyone else questioning what to get for your elderly mother, save yourselves the headache and just take her with you and let her choose her own gun.

I tried it, but it bored me to tears. I have played MMOs for years, since back in the 90's when UO came out. I played DAoC and WoW to endgame, as well as trying just about any other decent looking game that came to market. Eve bored me.

Agreed. I only married my wife because she threw a fit about living in sin. 10 years was enough for her.

When I bought my NEF PP, I had been researching the 870, and decided that was the route I was going to go. I had read about the PP and thought it was alright, but I wanted the 870, the name is better. I couldn't find an 870 in town with anything shorter than a 28" barrel, or cheaper than $350. I was in Dicks, and taking a look at what they had, when I saw the PP. I was with a buddy, and I told him half as a joke "If you buy one, I will buy one." We both took them home that night. I have been more than pleased with mine, and at $200 OTD, I don't think I did that bad either.

I have to second the NEF Pardner Protector. Or third it as it may be. I got mine for $200 OTD at Dicks a while back, it replaced a SxS Coach Gun. I have run a couple hundred rounds through it now, from low brass bird shot, to 3" 00 Buck. It is reliable, easy to operate, and best of all, cheap. It is a Chinese clone of the 870, I have read somewhere that it is made by Hawk. The barrel and receiver are not exact, but the stocks, magazine tube, and triggers are all 870. I like mine, and I trust it. It hasn't given me any indication that it is less than functional. The only issue I have with it is the finish. After use, make sure you clean it very thoroughly, it will get surface rust if you sneeze in it's general direction. I shot it one day, didn't clean it, put it up and pulled it out a week later to clean it with everything else, and it had a thin layer of surface rust on the receiver. It wiped right off, and after a good cleaning, and a liberal application of Remoil, it has been fine since.

Best episode of the season in my opinion.

Whoa. Not even half way through the episode. Heartbreaking. I don't know if he is right or wrong. Jax's character is deeper than I gave him credit for.

Dammit. I want a PSL now.

I am a fan of the Ruger, the GP100 comes in .357MAG, and I am certain a 6" barrel. The trigger is known to be a little grittier than a S&W, but still a very fine weapon. There is also the possibility of grabbing a Police Trade-In S&W Model 64 or 15 from JG for a nice price, they are .38SPL only though.

It can be either a generic second player that resets upon log out, or you can log in with another Gold Account and it retains the information.

Calling the manufacturer and getting them to call the shop might be more effective. I don't think the ATF will do much. Sharing the contact info so that other concerned citizens could call would be nice as well.

Interesting watch. As if there wasn't enough to be paranoid about...

Good episode. Really a good job after a weak showing last week. My favorite line: "Unless we want a six headed grandchild, we better get in there and share some family secrets." Nor more that that until those that watch on Hulu have a chance to see it t'marra.

Great deal. It should be 7.62x54R as mentioned, with the can opener. That is a screaming steal at $5.

Xbox 360 has the much better support, more variety and twice as many games. However, the PS3 is the superior system. I have the 360. With all the bells and whistles. I don't know how I lived without it.

Zombieland Dawn of the Dead (original) and Land of the Dead are about even in second though. Resident Evil Apocalypse 28 Days/Weeks Later Shaun of the Dead I hated Diary of the Dead. I couldn't wait for that movie to end. Survival of the Dead was better, but could have benefited from a larger budget. Romero is by far my favorite of the Zombie Makers. The original and the best IMO. Zombie movies don't scare me. Never have. I sleep like a baby after watching them. That was part of why I loved Zombieland so much, it took the fun of a zombie movie and did in tongue in cheek.

Was it just me, or did anyone else notice the tattoo on Shane's chest that seemed to read 'Lori?' I couldn't make it out clearly, but that is what it looked like, which would clearly imply this was an ongoing affair.

She was fine by the time we got home. Her mother was thankful though... Just kidding, but we do have that issue with my daughter, she is only four. She has a little bolt action .22, but she is already wanting a bigger one. And pink. I can't go into the gun store without her gravitating to the Ruger 10/22s, in pink of course, and demanding that we take one home. For her birthday, she informed her mother and I that she wanted 'a gun and ammunition to put under her bed.' Her mother was less than thrilled.

Last night's episode was a little disappointing. It was still good, but it didn't live up to what I was expecting after the first episode. I wonder where it will go from here, and I hope it gets better once they get out of the city.

12ga 20" SxS Coach Gun with 3" Magnums. I think I made it through 6 rounds before I put it down and haven't shot anything other than low brass loads through it since. I had a bruise that ran from mid back to my hip.

It looks like a dedicated platform, just like the Colt/Umarex or the S&W MP15-22. The price is around the same too. The difference being in the use of a Black Dog Machine magazine. That is about as much as I can impart.
