While E. Coyote is my hands down favorite WB character. I loved that.

Why does this always happen at Christmas time....

Seconded. -

If I were a gambling man, and I am not, I would say he told him, "We caused this, it was a biological weapon gone wrong." Just guessing.

Same here, I was too young. Comparing Cobain to Lennon is a stretch, but for impact his short career had, it is not such a stretch. I think the comparison comes from extreme change that occurred in at that time, which Nirvana (rightly or wrongly) is credited with started. There were better bands of that era, both artistically and effectively, however Cobain and Nirvana will always be remembered the most. The biggest contrast in the Lennon/Cobain comparison is that the Beatles had for intents and purposes already run their course, and affected the changes that occurred. Nirvana, if they were indeed the catalyst that the Beatles were (they weren't) were only getting started.

Wal-Mart has the deals. I hate to say it but they do. I have no first hand experience with Vizio, but the folks I know that have bought them (my mother has one) like them. And the price is good.

Grats! My daughter changed my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Etowah is a kind of a bustling little small town. They have the L&N Depot down there, but all in all it is just like hundreds of other small towns in Tennessee.

I have to express my love for my Glock 19 as well. I bought it as a carry piece that I could count on rain or shine. It has never let me down, while ugly it is a pleaser.
-
I am pretty sure that it comes on Friday and Midnightish as well.

My heart was beating in my throat the whole episode. When it was over, I couldn't have been more pleased. I can't think of a single moment in television history that has held me so enthralled. The way it was handled, the loosed ends, all of them, that were tied. It was superb. The show is right back where it was in season one, with Jax's inner turmoil, but now his loyalty has been shown to the club even stronger than what we could have suspected at the beginning. I am thrilled to see where it is going from here. A clean slate, no one to worry about but the Russian and the lack of Charming PD support. I don't think Tara will give Jax the letters. If she knew about how close he came to walking on Abel, maybe, but not now. She is poised to become Gemma when Gemma and Clay step down. She wants what the club is. She wants Jax to want it.

Superb. Absolutely superb.

It was called Phipps Bend. Google it. It is pretty awesome, and the history surrounding it and the other incomplete facilities.
-
There is also an old nuclear facility that was being built up Phipps Bend. I would love to go up and see that. It was cancelled back in the 70's or so. The cooling towers still exist. It is outside of Surgoinsville. The Hawkins County owns it now.

Wow. Tellico Plains is listed as a ghost town. That is funny. I grew up there. I wouldn't go so far as to list it as a ghost town, but it does have some interesting things to see.

Agreed. This would be my preferred route as well. I was going back and forth for my future EBR purchase on which brand, and S&W was winning, until I researched how much it would actually cost to build a BCM. If you were to cheap out on a few parts, such as using a regular buttstock instead of the MOE, use the included grip, get a simple hand guard, and the like, you could easily walk away with a full BCM in your choice of flavor for under $900 before shipping and transfer.

It sucked to see Jim go. Or at least left behind. I am really liking this show so far. Just the right mix of action and drama.

I caught that. Pretty good episode tonight.

Why Police Defensive Tactics are so important...

I giggled. -
I am probably in the minority here, but I appreciate the Mr. Williams coming here and trying to set the record straight. I for one was not aware of the margin of profit on firearms. I didn't assume it was huge, but I never for the life of me assumed it to be so narrow. I understand his frustration, and I sympathize with with him in this harsh economic environment. He does have a point about us not being his customer base, to a degree. It is rare that one of us (and by us I mean 'educated gun enthusiasts') would walk into a store without an idea in our head of what we wanted, and what said item is worth. Now, that is not a bad thing for us, but for a salesman, that is a nightmare. No offense meant to the profession. The idea is to upsell and convince the consumer of what they want. When the consumer already knows what they want, the sale is more difficult to make on many levels. What if you don't have what the consumer wants? What if your price is not competitive? It is not as easy to sell in a brick and mortar when you are talking about a high dollar item since the advent of the internet. Myself, I have found that most of the time, it is the same price to buy from a LGS than it is to ship to an LGS and transfer. Now, I have a few things for Mr. Williams. First, if your net profit from a sale is around $30, what is your net profit from a transfer? I would think it would be equitable, and if not, please help me understand why it isn't. You don't have to hold the item in inventory for an extended period of time, and the labor for the 4473 would be similar to that of a sale. If it is an item that you don't regularly stock, how does it inconvenience you to transfer it? Wouldn't ordering it for inventory cost more in the long run? Shipping, space time lost in placing the order, waiting for arrival and so forth? This is also a selfish question, as I would like to understand why so many dealers are loathe to transfer firearms and charge so much. To my layman's opinion, it would seem much less hassle than stocking the item. Second, why the hate about 'tax evasion?' I mean, I understand it, I work hard and see very little return on it, as there are millions on welfare taking it from me. However, as a business, don't you get your items tax free to begin with, and as such charge the consumer sales tax on the item? That is how it works in my business. I sell products for resale, and once a retailer gives me their Tax ID number, I don't charge them tax, as it is their responsibility to charge the end consumer sales tax. As such, I am a little confused as to how this correlates into the argument. Do you pay tax on said items in inventory on April 15th? And if so, wouldn't an item sent for transfer be exempt from this as it is not really in inventory? For the record, nothing you have said would stop me from being a customer, and I understand you are frustrated, but coming here and attacking all the members with blanket statements did kind of rub me the wrong way.

Someone makes a single point sling attachment that mounts between the grip and the receiver, similar to an AR-15 single point, and then you just clip a single point bungee sling to it. Here we go. GG&G makes one, it is $25. Then all you need is a sling to go with it. You can probably find cheaper, this was a two minute search.
-
For $25, it seems like a decent enough tool for what it does.

No, I have just done a lot of reading. There is a guy on several boards that goes by the name of MAX100, he knows a lot about them and has test fit most pieces and modified several of them. If you google "NEF Pardner Pump Protector" you will be sure to find some of his posts. I think lately I have been reading about some bad deals with him on Glocktalk, however, regardless of his business practices, he has championed the guns.

Meaning the IMI Jericho 941 or the Walther P99 based pistol? The Jericho was based on a CZ75. I am fascinated by them. I am upset that they are so hard to find now, because I severely want one.

Yes, the stocks and forend are compatible with the Remington 870. The trigger group is as well. That means triggers, stocks, forends, magazine tubes, sidesaddles and heat shields will work. The barrel is not compatible. The magazine extension tube is compatible, but a word of warning. A +2 will be too long on the NEF 18.5" barrel. The NEF magazine tube is longer than the 870s, which means a +2 will stick about an inch past the barrel.
