  1.   What lights? If they can all communicate, both traffic flows can adjust to "zipper" into one another with neither direction needing to stop. That's going to be waaaay down the road if ever, but it's possible.
  2.   I looked at it as they were about to be on the move again. Unlike Rick's group, they don't yet have a plethora of guns to leave one behind with the bitten/scratched victim for offing themselves as they get sick. It was either kill her now and get to the boat, or leave her to turn...and still get to the boat. Either way, it's time to go.   You're hitting on the thing that has bothered me since the beginning of this show. They seem to be switching from "normal" people to savage killers doing what it takes to survive too easily. Not too quickly, just too easily. None of these terrible choices seem to be tearing them up inside like they should be. Sure there was a jackass Lieutenant, but the rest of the Army personnel treated them pretty well. Travis even witnessed the enlisted men pushing back against the Lt. in "Cobalt". But then they turn around and dump the hoard of zombies on the base knowing it's going to kill a lot of the men who have been keeping them safe, just to sneak into that same base. That's cold, brutal, possibly necessary, and a viable plan that worked out for them*, but no remorse? Seriously?       *They went in to get 3 people, but only get to keep 1 of the 3 (and it's Nick, so that's a loss), but the big win is one they didn't expect and that's Strand.
  3. You guys are slipping. Late into Page 3 and we don't have a single picture of a black panther? Fine... I'll do it.
  4. That's awesome. I really like the ones of the Vultee aircraft plant (Davidson County) from WW2. There are a few color photos towards the end.
  5. My Occam's Razor theory is that the perps left the wedding reception headed home (or somewhere else). Brainard and DeLoach were crossing the street as the perps drove through and nearly hit them. Words were exchanged and the douche nozzles got out of their car to kick some ass. Simple case of alcohol + assholeitude. I'll be very surprised if there was some prior knowledge of one another. Male perp is an account manager at a cabling/wire company.
  6. My money is on "drunk asshole", but we'll see how it shakes out.
  7. If you watch SlickGuns, you've no doubt seen the entry for the UltraFire Mini CREE light for $2.96 from Amazon. If not, here it is: http://www.slickguns.com/product/mini-cree-led-flashlight-torch-adjustable-focus-light-lamp-300-lm-344-free-shipping   I had an Amazon order for a bunch of other stuff so I tossed in a couple of these because they're cheap. Honestly, they're better than I expected for the price. It's an all aluminum body with an aluminum head which slides to focus the beam. The weighting on the focus is nice. Not hard to move, but not sloppy. It has a single CREE LED chip. When the beam is at full focus, it's actually a square beam of light (shine it on the wall and you get a white square instead of a white circle). You can see that in the 3rd picture on the SlickGuns page.   It uses a single AA battery and it's pretty bright. The specs say 300 lumens. That seems about right. I don't have a light meter, but it's probably in that neighborhood. AIUI, you can use other battery types too as long as they're in the AA form. Maybe one of those others (some kind of lithium-ion maybe?) would give the full brightness if a regular AA doesn't? I just know it's bright enough for me with a regular Duracell AA.   The switch is a push button on the tail end with a rubber dome cover. The rubber is orange. The switch is crisp, but the rubber feels a bit thinner than I'd like. I wouldn't expect it to stand up to heavy use over a long period of time. It has a single On/Off mode. No strobe, no high/low modes. there's a 3-mode version as well. Depending on the seller and the body color, that will range from  $0.50 more to $7 more. It seems like you can hunt around and maybe find the combination of features you want, but the price may go up a bit. Mine came as a flashlight only. No box, no recharagbles, no AA battery.   The head twists off to expose the battery compartment. There's no o-ring so I doubt that it's very water proof.   I haven't tested battery life yet.   It has an attached clip that seems strong enough. It's attached with brass screws and could be removed easily if you don't want it.   They shipped by mail from China, so it took about a month from order date to arrival. No complaints here as I wasn't in any hurry, but something to note in case you are. I'll try to get some pics up later. If anyone wants to see any particular part, let me know and I'll get some close ups.   Overall I'm satisfied, especially for the price. Seems like the kind of light you'd toss in a tool box or glove box. Not something I want to trust my life to, but it will probably work when I need it to and will do the job just fine. For $3, go for it.
  8. I suspect regular pirates will be quite sufficient to keep them threatened.
  9. I think it's his house. He's packing up clothes, though I guess he could be about the same size as the owner he knew. But he's standing there holding a framed picture at one point. That screams "family" to me. Don't know if the boat is his or not, or if he just had plans to get it.   I'd like to know how he ended up in the cages.
  10. I have no doubt that mountain lions are in our state. We have plenty of wilderness for them. Those cats will range for hundreds of miles. Don't know if we have any established ones here or if they're like TWRA said and just passing through. Either way I don't want to run into one. Crazy efficient predators.   My brother was out camping in Arizona many years ago with some guys. They heard a sound like a woman screaming. Creeped 'em out pretty good. Then it happened again and again, getting closer each time. When it sounded like it was right on top of them they jumped in the truck and got the heck out of there, leaving all their tents and gear. They ran into a ranger the next day when they went back and he said it was almost certainly a mountain lion and that they did the right thing by getting out.
  11. I kind of wondered about that too. I can see Salazar doing that, but it's hard to see the others going along with it. It's still very early in the process, but they've gone from "just got out of a coma Rick" to "Governor with the ice cream truck" in just a few days. Then they get all bleeding heart compassionate again and let the people out of the cages. I don't get it.
  12. Yep. I'm approximating her at about 150' - 175'. That would be a normal crew of 8-12 depending on how much automation she has and what level of service the occupants want. That would include the chef, housekeeping, mates, and deck hands. They don't need most of that, but you'd still need a captain (assume Strand) and probably an engineer. If Strand knows his boat (assuming it's his) then he could probably show his new people how to do enough of the basics to get them underway. Just hope there's no problem in the engine room.
  13. Strand didn't need Nick to get out of the cage. Nick had the key because he stole it from Strand. Had Nick not been there, Strand still would have had it. Strand traded his cuff links for it.
  14. Oooh! You're right! There's another one just left of center!
  15. I'm pretty sure that's just for Guard recruiters. Recruiters for the active duty forces don't fall under the governor's pervue.   Am I misinformed?
  16. There are two in the picture. The black one is on the right.
  17.   I saw that and thought the same thing. What a bunch of jerks. "Hey neighbors whom we have know for years! Not only are we not going to tell you to GTFO, we're going to let the monsters in to eat you. I hope this doesn't mean we won't exchange Christmas cards this year."       I'm betting that he does have a way to get to the yacht. I just expect the storyline to take a turn for the worst before they get there.   Strand is thinking several moves ahead of everyone else. He doesn't need Nick right now and didn't really need him to escape (though he did come in handy to have around when the family came looking for him and had the key card, but that's dumb luck.). I think Strand has plans for Nick wherever he plans to take Abigail. He knows this isn't a short-term situation. He can use a person skilled at getting in and out of places unseen. Basically he knows Nick's a lying thief. Now that pseudo-nurse is gone, the rest of the family has no discernable skills which would be useful to Strand. I'm not sure why they're still there except that he doesn't yet have a way to get rid of them and keep Nick at the same time. Maybe they'll be his Otis.   Is it just me, or does the actor playing Strand remind you of a young Danny Glover?
  18. Why did we have to wade through 5 episodes of boring to finally get a good one, only to have it be the last one?   I'm thinking Season 2 is going to be much more fun. I figure an episode or 2 will be spent just trying to get to Abigail. Then they'll find they're not the only ones with that idea....
  19. Wait, you said East Nashville? Just wait until after dark and have at it.  :)   Seriously though, there's also Charlie Haffner's place down near Spring Hill. It's not 3-sided like OK Corral but shotguns are good to go.
  20.   How does a senator who isn't an anti-gunner defending himself support any of those statements? They are all true (Sen. Boxer has a carry permit) but this story has nothing to do with hypocritical leftists. Not everyone with a D next to their name is an anti-gunner.
  21. He talks a good talk, and is on our side when it's easy to do that, but when when push has come to shove in the past, he has sold the 2A supporters out to dry to business interests (ie. his money donors)
  22. There was a cabin behind her, not a tent.
