  1. Since you asked for our input, I think a combination of post counts OR membership tenure would be a good idea. I suspect there are members (possibly Benefactors) who rarely if ever post, but have been members for years and do a lot of reading. I doubt they're going to be your problem members.   Hall of Shame posting anything more than the screen name and reason for shaming might be a bad idea. IANAL, but I could see that going bad in several ways.
  2. I suspect all of mine will be stolen soon after a ban goes into effect. Not worth bothering with a police report of course, as if they're recovered they won't be returned to me.
  3. Yep. The best opening statement in TTD history.
  4.   Waaay too much glass. Dang near impossible to defend that place.
  5. If you board a plane, and this is your cabin crew, rethink your travel plans.
  6. Yeah. We've only seen the inside of 5 homes. Rick's, Deana's, Jessie's, the one used for the hospital, and the one used for the supplies/armory. Those could all be done in probably 2 or 3 model homes.   Kevin Smith on TTD was amazingly funny. His opening comments hooked me for the whole episode. I usually FFWD through much of it, just watching the behind the scenes stuff and the interviews with the actual cast, but Smith was funny the whole time. Referring to last week's black & white episode as The Walking Clerks was perfect.
  7. In The Talking Dead they said that the Wolves attack played out in real-time. It was 45 minutes. The exact time it took for Carol's casserole to bake.
  8. No, I did that with one shot.
  9. Maybe it was Dog the Bounty Hunter
  10. Me too, but I suspect it will end up something like this:
  11. According to that, you're correct: Limited to 10K transfers from the Army to the CMP per year, and CMP must be an FFL for these firearms (all regular FFL procedures apply).   Wouldn't these qualify as C&R eligible? I don't see why they wouldn't. If so....AWESOME!
  12.   Me either, but I've never let them soak in the Simple Green. I just disassemble them, drop the parts in a bucket of hot water and Simple Green, scrub, dunk in a bucket of clean hot water to rinse, dry, spray with CLP, reassemble, done.
  13.   I don't disagree. I'm just saying that the prosecution convinced the jury that this is NOT what happened.
  14.   It's actually more like suing the bar/store that served/sold the alcohol.   The point of the suit was that they not only didn't err on the side of caution, but they actively helped the buyer lie on the 4473. Nobody but the buyer and seller will ever know the total truth, but the prosecution made a good enough case to make the jury believe that is what happened.
  15. The ONLY way I could see that being remotely useful would be if you were still involved in an active gunfight when the police arrive on scene. Even then I'd think its value would be negligible.
  16. The light bar is probably for safety. People lock themselves out of their cars in some crazy places. If she's popping the lock at night, some bright yellow beacons could help her from getting run over while doing her job. To be fair, putting one on a white Impala with black wheels does smack a bit of trying to llok like a police cruiser, but plenty of security companies do the same thing. It's not against any law. Still, she needs to step up her game. Badges are so last decade. Now it's all abouth the sash. Bonus for her, the edging and lettering are reflective, so extra safety at night. My favorite part of that picture is that the guy is wearing a Brownell's Law Enforcement shirt. Doh!
  17. That depends on the gun. I find that GnL's cash price out the door is pretty dang close on many of the commodity guns like Glock. I think the last one I got up there ended up being $15 more than the best online price + shipping + transfer. Since they included a free range pass with purchase, that made them only $5 more and I got to walk out with it that day instead of waiting on the UPS guy.
  18. That looks like a bank logo at a glance.
  19.   Hey....don't be copying my interior decorating!     I linked to the old one so that anyone else just now discovering that we taxpayers got raped for a red square would be able to read the past comments on the subject w/o having to rehash it again.     Not when the article in your OP is dated June.  :D
  20. And we have yet to see what "plainly visible" means to a court.

  22.   This is the correct reading. Since yours meets 1 and 1(B ), it's a no-go for California.
  23.   You're behind the times. It's not coming, it's here.   http://nypost.com/2015/10/13/nypd-has-secret-x-ray-vans/
  24.   Yep. Got to keep those milsurp AK mags looking mint.    Simple Green can strip paint too. The trick is to not let it sit. Just hit it and clean it. Follow up with CLP, etc. and call it a day.
