  1. IMFDB would have no way to know in what those M4A1s are chambered. Yeah, they're likely 5.56 picked up off the Army/Nat.Guard along the way, but they could have found a stash in someone's home chambered in 6.8, .300BLK, or some other wildcat round along with a stash of ammo to feed it. Once that runs out, it's kind of useless.
  2.   Maybe it was a 6.8 AR   :hiding:
  3. Dolomite, you are one tough dude. and :usa:
  4. Taking the Spratly and Paracel islands would be like a weekend exercise for them. The US presence is the only thing stopping them from doing it today. A possible overreach for them would be to try to take their larger ocean neighbors like the P.I. or Japan, but I doubt they'd try that. I think Siberia would be where they'd really over reach. They have to have their eyes on that treasure chest and it could be their undoing if they ever go for it.
  5.   China would be far more focused on invading other territories while we could do nothing about it. they know that if we devolve into Civil War, it will be a while before we're strong enough to do anything on the world stage. During that time, they'll be consolidating and "legitimizing" their claims. Taiwan would be under the mainland's total control within hours, the Paracel and Spratly islands within days. Some contested Japanese islands would be next. To them, it's about the oil and mineral claims. There's nothing to gain by attacking us if we're already out of the fight. N. Korea would see the open door and move on S. Korea. Without our help, who knows which way that one would go? China has enough standing Army to both take all of those islands AND assist N. Korea with taking S. Korea if they chose too. Without our backing, the only other power in the region (Japan) would be unable to do much about any of it.
  6. I gotta say that the OP missed one thing....the overwhelming evidence of laziness in addition to being "a bunch of rude :poop: heads". It's easy to be a keyboard commando. It's much harder to actually go out and take up arms. It's even harder to do that and stick with it. Our society moves from one thing to another very quickly.   I think OS is right. If/when we have another domestic war, it will be chaos, at least for a while before it starts to congeal into factions.
  7. Chuckie would be a great pickup, but I don't think he'd leave his sweet broadcasting gig, and certainly not while the ownership issue is unsettled. It would open up a whole new set of graphics for the Jumbotron though.
  8.   It would be funny to stick one of those orange or green "Abandoned Vehicle" stickers on the back window. :D
  9. We'll all have to start tucking our T-shirts in and wearing mom-jeans.  :)
  10.   This. It's no secret that the heirs don't want to fool with it. They want to focus on the family's other business interests. Maybe El Rushbo will try again. :)
  11. Knowing how the Titans operate, we'll probably end up trading 3 draft picks and half the defense to get Joe Philbin.
  12. I do too. I just think that the placement of this episode in the sequence messed up the cliffhanger-ness of Glenn.
  13. At this point, I don't care. They had me all worked up about it at the end of last week, but I've now lost interest in the "is he or isn't he" topic. If he's alive, then good. I like the character. If he's gone, fine. There are others that I also like and it opens the door for Rick to put peacenik Morgan in his place. You can't save everyone.
  14. You gotta let some things slide. That's an issue with lots of shows. Can't keep young actors from growing up. Just have to adjust the relevant parts of the story where they can.
  15.   That's plausible (except for Carl's super-human aging). Season 1 would have only taken a few weeks/months to get from Rick waking up in the hospital, to finding the group, hang out at the quarry, then get to the CDC for a few days. Season 2 could have started the same day S1 ended or within a few days at most. They hung out at the farm for the rest of the summer before being run off. After fleeing the farm they faced their only winter. Taking the prison, fighting off/destroying Woodbury, then having the Gov show back up to destroy the prison could have happened in a few months. Assuming they found the prison in the early spring (yeah, I know trees were a bit leafy already, but stay with me) they would have had time to take it, get their gardens going and battle Woodbury. When the Gov shows back up, let's say it's late summer. They flee the prison and make it to Terminus within a few days, a week tops. Terminus falls and they get to the church for let's say a week or two including their forays into the Atlanta hospital before heading to DC. That's a day's drive today from Atlanta, so let's say they made it in a week giving time for circuitous routes, avoiding zombies, and a little foraging. They could have gone from entering Alexandria to now within a few weeks. They ought to be in the fall by now with 2nd winter coming soon.

  17. I liked the episode, but don't like that they left us hanging for another week on Glenn.   I skipped most of the couch portion of TTD, just watching the behind-the-scenes segments. Those are usually interesting irrespective of the episode.
  18. I liked Eastman's shirt. I guess it's not Enid approved.   I sort of thought that after Eastman died, Morgan would go looking for the two he came across and saved to try to help them. Guess not.
  19. Yes. Darryl's bike is a home-brew. Aaron scavenged parts because he wanted to build a bike, but had no knowledge of how to do it. He just thought it would be a cool project. That bike fits Darryl's personality a lot better than a brand new Road King.   How did he lose Merle's bike? I forget when he stopped having it. Was it while fleeing from the prison?
  20. ^^^^ This. I'd just about put money on it being a frat hazing.
  21. Heat has an impact too. A can of tuna kept at a nice 65F year round is going to last longer than one on the top shelf of an unconditioned warehouse in Phoenix.
