The large blade has "Stainless Steel" stamped at the base. No other markings.   I don't figure it to be rare unless it was just dumb luck. My dad probably picked it up at an antique store or yard sale a few years back. It's not something he has had for a loooong time. Still, it's from him and it's "Winchester" so I think it's pretty cool.

Can anyone tell me anything about this knife? When it was made, things like that? My dad gave it to me at Thanksgiving. I think I'll be hanging on to this one. :up:

The cable on those cheap GunVault NanoVaults is usually long enough to reach from under the seat into your lap, but they're only big enough for a handgun. They won't keep a skilled thief from getting your stuff, but would be effective against most smash n grabs.

  Yep, good price. Notice that it's .300 BLK, not .223/5.56 if that matters to you. .300BLK factory ammo isn't as cheap as .223.

Centerfire is notorious for hiding that their price is a "cash" price unless you read the fine print.

+1 to Primary Arms. They had a 10.5" AR pistol up during Cyber Week for just north of $450 IIRC. Pretty sure it had quad rails.   Their Primary Arms branded optics are decent quality and a great value for the price even if they do tend towards the heavy side compared to the high end stuff like Aimpoint and Eotech.

A normal model should come with 2. A deluxe/enthusiast model should come with 3 or 4. (Sig Mastershop guns, S&W Performance Center guns, etc.) A value model should come with 1. (Kahr CM9, S&W SDxVE, etc)

I've stopped in at Royal a few times for accessories and ammo. I've been happy with their prices, selection, and haven't been disappointed in the service. Plus the facility itself is super nice. I did have to wait a few minutes to get some SD ammo, but it wasn't for more than about 5 minutes.   That said, if they are reading TGO, one piece of advice might be to have someone at the register for non-gun purchases. They have a ton of ammo, gear, and accessories. Buying that stuff is more like a regular shopping experience. I want to fill up my basket and go to the cashier and be on my way. I don't really need a personal attendant like when purchasing a firearm. But if I have to wait for a staff member to finish with a firearm sale, that does kind of slow down an otherwise straight-forward transaction.

Yes, they do. I suspect the minimum requirement is to show the videos. I highly doubt the video expressly says "If there's a person in your house uninvited, you can shoot them, no questions asked." But a good instructor will recognize that the video can leave that impression and will work to correct that possible (and likely) misconception. I haven't seen the video in a long time, so I can't really speak to the specifics in whatever is being used today in classes.

  Then that's wrong. The HCP material is generally out of date and poorly produced to begin with, unless they've made new stuff since I took my class. A good instructor will show the video as required, but also correct the common misconceptions that those lousy videos can give.

  Sure there is. Ahmed runs a news-stand in Columbia, MO where he also sells pre-paid phones. He was in Wally World picking up some chicken, long-underwear, and a tire iron (because you know....it's Wal-Mart) and noticed they have a killer deal on prepaid phones. I'm talking 20% below his own costs. Why? Who knows. Maybe Wally is discontinuing that model. Maybe some bean counter in Benton wants to clear out that 18" of shelf space. Either way, Ahmed just stumbled onto a gold mine. He knows he can make a big profit on each one at his news stand. So he buys all they have.   Next thing he does is call his brother, Mahmud who runs a news stand in Saint Louis (hey...it's the family business) to tell him to check his local Wal-Mart. He does, and finds 40 in stock there at the same low low price so he buys them all. Meanwhile, Ahmed drove 15 miles away to another Wal-Mart and picks up all they have. When he gets home, he hops on the ImmigrantsRunningSmallBusinesses.com forum and shares the tale of his good fortune. Some other guys who also run businesses that sell repaid phones run out and clear out their Wal-Mart stores. Things are looking great...then Homeland Security shows up.         Now....re-read that story but change the names to Ed and Frank, the website to TGO, and change it from cell-phones to that dirt-cheap Perfecta .308 and 9mm we were jizzng in our pants about back in May. Then tell me you feel the same way.   I'm not saying that's what happened. I'm just saying that I can see how this could have been completely legitimate. Was it? I have no idea.
