  1. I have no doubt they each go through thousands of rounds per day when doing live-fire training, but do they do that every day of the year? Surely they spend some days not shooting stuff. Don't they have demolitions training, foreign-language classes, leadership training, mission planning skills training, foreign culture training, heavy equipment training (like how to rig up an electric genny and water pump to help a village in the back end of nowhere, or drive a bulldozer), plus general physical fitness stuff like running a marathon with a pregnant wildebeest on their backs while doing the NYT Saturday crossword puzzle?   The vehicle mounted stuff that Sam1 mentioned could account for the discrepancy in the math.
  2. The unmanned one at Cheatham has had a $5 fee for a while now. I don't know how long but I thought it was before June '15. Maybe not. Honor system of course.
  3. Trapper John was so much funnier than B.J. Honeycutt.   R.I.P.
  4. Gen 3 = 2 mags Gen 4 = 3 mags except G42 and G43 which only come with 2.   IIRC, Glock Blue Label Gen 3 came with 3 mags. I don't know if Blue Label Gen 4 come with a 4th one or not.

  6.   There you go living in the EU again.  :D
  7. ^^^ This x 1,000   I also see good deals by watching http://www.SlickGuns.com
  8. I enjoyed it. I think I liked the first shots of the Falcon more that anything else. That set piece really is like a distinct character.   Spoliers: The only real issue I had was that Finn and Rey not only know how to use a lightsabser having never seen or touched one before, but that they can do so quite well. Rey with zero training can match sabers with Kylo Ren? WTF? Seriously? Luke could barely keep from chopping his own arm off at that point in his life. He had to go hang out with Yoda for a while before he could sort of come close to staying alive against Vader on Bespin while Vader was pulling an Inigo Montoya and pretending to be left-handed. Just plain stupid and unnecessary. They could have handled the Kylo Ren vs. Finn/Rey much differently. Side note: How in the world is Finn still alive? Lightsabers melt through blast doors, but Finn can take a slice straight up his spine and live? Poe's jacket must be some mythical light-saber proof +1,000,000 armor.

  10.   Watch Craigslist. Fantastic deals to be had on there if you're patient. I scored a Honda EU6500is inverter genny that had a whole 4.5 hours on it for just $1400. I had to drive from Nashville to Knoxville to get it, but it was worth it. I've seen used EU2000is models go for as low as $650 (saw one once for about $500 but it looked like it had gone through a war) with $700 being a solid good deal on a like-new model with low hours. The non-inverter gen sets go for much less per Kw, but I have to say that I'm thoroughly impressed with how quiet mine is and wouldn't anything else but the inverter models. I've thought about picking up one or two of the EU2000is models for more portability.   I use http://www.SearchTempest.com to search CraigsList. It makes things much easier. It's still CL though and sometimes the deal falls through. I drove up to Scottsboro, KY one night in the snow to get an EU2000is for $600 or $650 and the guy never showed and never answered his phone again. Jackass.   Note: unless your fridge is ancient, it probably pulls less power than you think. Check the label inside the door. I can power most of what I really need with a 2Kw genny. I'm pretty sure that if I wired up some transfer switches then I could power my HVAC blower motors with my 6.5Kw unit. Gas furnace + genny-powered blower = heat in the winter.
  11.   Translation: "It's not right that you're infringing on my state's citizens' rights! What am I going to do about it? I'll tell you what I'm going to do about it! Just to show you how important Constitutional rights are to me for all people, I'm going to have my state infringe on YOUR state's citizens' rights 'cause that makes a lot of sense!"   Moron.
  12.   That's not the case in TN. A Police Station has to be posted just like almost every other building if they want to stop lawful carry. I suspect it's similar in Michigan since the officers didn't arrest these tools.
  13. Still not as bad as what was going on at Sabre here in Nashville a few years ago....
  14. VA allows open carry w/o a permit, including in your car. It just has to be plainly visible even while in your car. Even if a cop spots you with your OC'd heater, so what? No law is being broken just by having TN plates.
  15. Looks like we have at least 3 or 4 of them now in different forums.  :)

  18.   You can in some states. Some (like Florida, Utah, and Virginia) issue non-resident permits which are usually just as valid as a resident permit in other states with reciprocity. A state can choose not to honor non-resident permits from other states, which is the simpler solution to that particular problem.   The irony here is that Virginia is one of the easiest from which to get a non-resident permit.
  19. Great price for any of you .50 BMG shooters. 10 rounds of American Eagle 660gr for $17.99.   http://palmettostatearmory.com/catalog/product/view/id/71/
  20. I have one. It definitely helps. Before this, I could only shoot, at most 2 MOA. Since I added this I'm up to a minimum 10 MOA.
  21.   I said the exact same thing this morning when I saw the recap on GMA of Steve's screw up.
