  1.   I thought the same thing.   I'm also wondering what happened to all of their suppressors. Sascha still has hers on the M4, but nobody else does, not even Carl's home-made kind that we saw at the prison.
  2. Sam's death took a big toll on Carol. She'd sacrifice herself to save Maggie's baby,  but I suspect she'll do so covered in someone else's blood first.
  3.   One of them is named Sh'nequa?
  4. They're "tanning" the babies to prevent/cure ricketts. It winter in Chicago at an orphanage in the 1920s.
  5. Here's one. Anyone want to guess what's happening in this picture, and why?
  6. I saw that deal on SlickGuns. If you aren't watching SlickGuns on a daily basis, you're missing out. https://www.slickguns.com There's a menu bar at the top for various categories. https://www.slickguns.com/today for the most recently posted deals across all categories.
  7. FYI - here's the 19.9c/rd Sellier&Bellot 9mm delivered from SportsmansGuide if you're a member. Use couponcode BRADSHIP for free shipping.   http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/sellier-amp-bellot-9mm-115-grain-fmj-ammo-500-rounds?a=1937259
  8. It showed as in stock and let me place my order....then I got the Out of Stock email.....that sucks.
  9. They've used both on the show. In this episode they used blanks and cycled the rifles. In many of the prison scenes they added CGI flashes to what I presume were the actors saying "pew pew pew".
  10. Another reason for the writers to kill off Darryl has nothing to do with the show and everything to do with Norman Reedus becoming a more in-demand actor.   That said, I think it's going to be Carol or Darryl. But because I think that, it will probably be someone else. :)
  11. The left and right are BARs. I think the shotty may be a Remington Model 11 or an Auto 5. They were known to have a sawed off one of each of those, IIRC.
  12. Thanks JayC. I figured the garage stuff was in there somewhere, but I couldn't find it.
  13. What's the story behind the mushroom cloud cake?
  14.   Castle Doctrine says you have a presumption of having been in reasonable fear for your life, etc. It's all a matter of who has to prove what in court. In your residence, business, dwelling or vehicle, the prosecuting DA has to prove that a reasonable person would not have had that level of fear. Outside your home, you may have to prove that a reasonable person would have that level of fear.   What's your basis for saying that a non-attached enclosed garage falls under castle doctrine? I think you may be right, but I didn't see any statute that says that.
  15. Now's a good time to pick up those calibers. I'm seeing some nice low prices on both. Sportsman's Guide had S&B 9mm delivered for $0.19 or $0.20/rd last week. I've seen brass .223 close to the $0.30 mark. SGammo has Wolf Gold for $0.31.6/rd delivered
  16. The law is clear. You may use as much non-lethal force as is necessary (but no more) to prevent the loss of property or trespassing. You may not lawfully use lethal force to protect property. You may only use lethal force if a reasonable person would be in imminent fear for their life or in fear of sustaining serious bodily injury, or have the same fear on behalf of another person. We do not get to decide whether or not a reasonable person would have that level of fear or not. The DA and then the jury get to do that.   You're dang right I'm going to be armed to the teeth when investigating a noise at night. If someone is in my home uninvited I expect they are there to do me and mine harm and the Castle Doctrine supports that reasonable fear. If I'm not in my home, I do not have a legal protection of presumption of that fear. I may have that fear, and it may pass the reasonableness test, but I may still have to prove that fear existed using the facts of the incident.   If a person is in the scenario proposed by Omega and they confront the thief:   If he runs, the victim can use non-lethal force to restrain him or let him run away and let the cops try to catch him. Lethal force is not lawful. If he surrenders, the person can hold him until police arrive. Lethal force is not lawful. If he fails to comply with verbal commands, presents a weapon, or makes a threatening advance, then fear of imminent bodily harm or death is reasonable in most cases*. Personally, I'm not getting into a scuffle over it. I don't have the training or the skills to think I have a decisive advantage in a brawl. I'll keep my distance and issue clear verbal commands. If point 3 above is met, I would personally be in fear for my life.   *If the homeowner is a 6'2 280lbs professional MMA fighter and the perp is a 5'3 110 lbs. woman with no weapon and the situation was clear to the homeowner (well lit area, etc.), then a DA and a jury may find it hard to believe that there was reasonable fear of imminent serious bodily injury or death.
  17. WOAH!!!!     That's more wrong than a wrong thing that is incorrect.   You can NOT lawfully use lethal force in TN to protect property (including your home). Period. Go Directly To Jail. Do Not Pass Go. Do Not Collect $200.   You can only lawfully use lethal force to defend yourself or others from an attacker if there is reasonable fear of losing one's life or suffering serious bodily injury (or have the same fear for another person).   Read that 39-11-614  statute again. It says you can use force, not lethal force, to protect property and even then only such force as is necessary to stop the theft or trespass . Para ( c ) even expressly says you can't use lethal force unless allowed to under another law, which means protecting yourself or others from death or serious bodily injury. Serious bodily injury is actually defined in the TCA, so you don't get to decide what is and isn't serious bodily injury.   The "castle doctrine" may be what's causing someone to think that lethal force is OK to protect your home. That's an incorrect understanding. Castle doctrine simply says that if the attacker is in your home, you have a presumption of being in fear for your life/serious bodily harm (or the same for another person). That means that away from home you have to prove you were in fear for your life/serious bodily harm or had the same fear for another person if you use lethal force. At home you don't have to prove that, BUT the evidence can prove you were not in fact in fear for your life. If you tie up an intruder and execute him, the evidence will prove that at the time of firing the shot, you were not in fear for your life and you will go to prison for murder. Castle Doctrine is not about protecting your home or your property and it is not a license to kill.
  18. I also use gun-deals.com/ammo to find the lowest $/rd delivered. I've had good luck buying from SportsmansGuide, SGAmmo, AIM Surplus, Palmetto State, and Freedom Munitions, plus I'm sure some whose names slip my mind right now.
  19.   This.     Cheaper Than Dirt can go suck a donkey's scrotum.
  20.   That may be a SHTF event for the impacted people, but it's not an EOTWAWKI event. As long as it's localized geographically (e.g. Katrina) or doesn't hit everyone and not all at once (e.g. the Great Depression), then it's something that can be managed. Tough, sure, but recoverable. Refineries still pump diesel and gasoline, tractors still plow fields, and food still gets produced and transported in the large-scale corporate farm method that we rely on to feed this many people. I really do think that a real EOTWAWKI event would take a widespread failure of the grid. Worst case would be an EMP that takes down the grid and non-grid electrical systems like solar panels, generators, battery-powered comms, and most vehicles on the road today.
  21. Where are you supposed to hold the gun in that picture?   :D
  22. I use a Remora. I LOVE my Remora for my KahrPM9, but I'm "meh" on it for the G43. The reason is that they sell the same holster size for the G43 as they do for the G26. That's fine for the depth of the pocket to cover the trigger, but it feels "sloppy" and oversized with the thin G43 in it. It works fine on the G26. The PM9 takes a different sized holster which has the perfect width for the G43, but it's too short and doesn't quite cover the trigger guard opening on the G43.   I have the extra mag pouch attached to the holster on both of them and love that. It makes the holster more stable and keeps the cant from changing as much as a bare Remora holster does. That's also something I don't like as much on the G43 Remora as I do on the PM9 Remora....the mag pocket is too loose on the G43. It's made of course to hold the fatter G26 mag so the G43 mag can actually slip down below the lip and it's hard to get it out. the PM9 mag fits perfectly in its mag pouch.   In other words....If Remora would make a slim version of their #6G-ART it would be perfect for the G43.
  23. For 30'x30', I give a big +1 to either sod or hardscape. It doesn't have to be concrete. Some variety of wooden walkways, mulched beds, pea gravel, and pavers would be great. Lots of work to put in, but ultra low maintenance afterwards. For greenery, plant flowers, ferns, and/or veggies in boxes or movable containers. For example:
