  1. raildog, did they run out of "H" letters for that road sign? Oh...and you stole my van picture
  2. https://mic.com/articles/86797/8-ways-we-regularly-commit-felonies-without-realizing-it Certainly not a complete list, and some examples are flimsy at best, but it's really not hard to commit a felony these days if an over zealous gubment hack wants to follow the letter of the law. Particularly when it comes to modern technology and decades or centuries old laws. Got a new Corvette? Careful with that Valet mode: http://jalopnik.com/you-can-accidentally-commit-a-felony-with-the-corvette-1639302406 I don't know if any of the 13 states consider it a felony or just a misdemeanor. Depending on state statutes, if you hop on someone else's WiFi without their permission (even if it's unsecured) you're committing an offense that can range from misdemeanor to felony depending on the state and circumstances. Need more?
  3. The facts don't support that. 8 out of 18 tested by LG met or exceeded FBI penetration guidelines. Gold Dots didn't quite reach the min. depth, but they were remarkably consistent in penetration and had excellent expansion, so you might be able to say that 9 out of 18 are capable. Ammo selection in a .380 becomes much more critical than in larger calibers because it's borderline for being acceptable. With the right gun and right ammo, it's perfectly capable. http://www.luckygunner.com/labs/self-defense-ammo-ballistic-tests/#380ACP
  4. Here are a couple of interesting ones from The Great War. A football (soccer) game played in gas masks. 1917 - Germans setting up a radio communications station, powering the generator with a tandem bicycle.
  5. The Big E on the Hudson River passing downtown Manhattan.
  6. Is HAARP still controlling the weather? If so, tell them to turn the heat off.
  7. That would be HCP Program Director Lisa Knight,1150 Foster Avenue Nashville, TN 37243 (615) 251-8590 https://www.tn.gov/safety/article/handgunmain
  8. The only one I know of is in 39-17-1351. One conviction is not disqualifying. I know of no recent changes.
  9. That was the original bill. But it was amended before being passed. The amendment replaces the entire content of the bill with something else. Here's the amendment: http://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/109/Amend/SA0692.pdf
  10. The most relevant difference is in the buffer tube size. If you have a commercial one, just be sure to get a commercial stock if you ever want to swap it out and try a different one. A mil-spec stock will not fit on a commercial tube, and vice-versa. Many of the major manufacturers of AR furniture offer their stocks in both sizes.
  11. Now that OS has corrected my inability to read, I'd say that if your employer doesn't post and the place gets shot up, you can't sue them (negligence etc. is another matter). Employment rules have no bearing. So whether they prohibit guns or not via employee policies, you can't sue them if they don't post and you get harmed. Translation: This bill is worthless.
  12. The bill was amended. The amendment completely replaced the original bill. The one that passed does the exact opposite of the original and goes into effect July 1st. It protects property owner/operator from all civil liabilities if they don't post, other than in the case of gross negligence or willful or wanton misconduct. http://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/109/Amend/SA0692.pdf Edit for correction. Oh Shoot is correct.
  13. Since we're talking fantasy land....I'm going with GAU-8
  14. Yep. Especially if you're on a multi-day trip. Fish caught on day 1 of 3 ain't gonna be so fresh in that $15 Coleman by the time you reach the dock. That said...that's a BIG cooler!
  15. One pant leg up, the other down. She's not LEO, she's in a gang.
  16. If we're talking normal life and for some crazy reason I have to keep just one, Glock 19. For slow TWD zombies or a non-zombie EOTWAWKI, an SBR AR along with a .22 conversion bolt/mag. I was thinking AK, but I think 5.56/.223 ammo would be more plentiful to scavenge. Suppressed would be nice too. For fast WWZ / 28 Days Later zombies, I'm with Caster. Whatever has a short barrel that will fit in my mouth.
  17. Bumping this back up in case anyone missed it. Just a few days left. I snagged a 30, 40, and 65 and a 30 oz twisted tumbler. Thanks for sharing!
  18. A cheap pre-filter may increase the life of the more expensive ZW filters.
  19. Bond Arms makes a pocket .357. Just 2 shots though.
  20. I usually search GunBroker and ArmsList. Look for several in a similar condition/configuration and get an idea of the prices. It's not perfect because sometimes all you see are "Buy Now" prices and you won't know if anyone actually is willing to pay that or not.
  21. VC fighters with an M44 Mosin, AK, and SKS.
  22. I've been hearing that my whole adult life and I suspect it was going on long before then. Hasn't happened yet.
