  1. I'm more of a semi-auto guy.
  2. (emphasis mine) I'm pretty sure that's wronger than a wrong thing that is incorrect. JAB has it down. Protecting livestock does not fall under hunting. Now you'd better be clear that you are NOT hunting and indeed are protecting livestock. If the facts and evidence would support that, you're fine at night. Don't go coyote hunting next to a cow field and try to claim "I was protecting my cows!"
  3. Nah. That barrel's too long. I'll wait for the conceal-carry version.
  4. I don't think that jives with the Hunting & Trapping Guide. https://issuu.com/thebinghamgroup/docs/hunt_trap_guide_2015-2016?e=18073349/14694585 Page 16 (19 on the PDF) bottom half of the page, center column. #7: Use or possession of the following equipment is prohibited: A red dot or illuminated reticle doesn't fit either category. Is there another source which contradicts/overrules the Hunting & Trapping Guide?
  5. @Trekbike, it's not a real Subaru until you cover every available inch of the back with bumper stickers. If you had picked up a Forester, you'd need to change your name to Stella and start wearing sleeveless flannel shirts. Seriously though, great looking wagon and I'm quite jealous of that filter placement. Subbie does a lot of things right.
  6. I didn't know it was like Beetlejuice. Say his name and he appears.
  7. To be fair, HAARP is a big unknown. The official record is that it was used to research the ionosphere. I had previously heard that the ultimate goal was to leverage the hypothesized discoveries into advanced communications capabilities, but I don't know if that was ever an official statement or not. One supposed goal was to build a new way to communicate with submarines at depth. There was only ever one array built and it was in Alaska in a forest, not on a sea-based rig. It was shut down a few years ago citing funding as the cause. Whether or not it created any actionable scientific discoveries or not, or if the Alaska array was shut down for other reasons will likely never be known by most of us. I suspect the research outcomes will remain classified for many decades to come, even if the results were "we didn't find anything new." HAARP is a conspiracy-theory goldmine because it's shrouded in both government secrecy and difficult-to-understand advanced science. It breeds a wealth of theories of its capabilities ranging from weather control, earthquake creation, inducing mass hysteria, etc. Like most things of this nature, you'll never convince some folks that it's true, and you'll never convince other folks it's not true.
  8. Where's Kentucky Conan when you need him?
  9. Another update on Rokslide:
  10. I think she's in a gang. They wear their pants that way with one leg higher than the other. I read that on the Internet so you know it's true.
  11. Another update from 2 days ago on Rokslide That would put them in Houston probably today or tomorrow. Hopefully we'll start seeing some shipments going out next week.
  12. Update on this: It looks like they're adding metal detectors to The Ryman and The Grand Ole Opry House. http://www.wsmv.com/story/32794702/security-upgrades-coming-to-opry-ryman
  13. THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
  14. A real store. Just getting their range finished up and this is the big way celebrate that. http://www.flashpointtac.com/
  15. How do handgun sales at AAFES/NEX work? Does a person have to be assigned to that base/post (or at least one in the same state) to buy? If a veteran, do they have to reside in the state? Or does AAFES/NEX have some special form of dealer license that can sell to anyone who qualifies to shop there? Since Ft. Campbell crosses states, can residents of either state purchase handguns there even though the PX is on the Kentucky side? I seem to recall a thread some years ago where it was said that soldiers assigned to Ft. Campbell can purchase from any dealer in either state. Is that true? It doesn't impact me either way, I'm just curious.
  16. This one's for you:
  17. It's a useful system for bases/posts in the middle of nowhere (Twentynine Palms, CA for example) with few places to go off-base. Otherwise you can find better and/or cheaper elsewhere. Still, if you live on base/post it's convenient and generally well-priced.
  18. Navy guns are measured in inches and that stuff just takes up too much shelf space.
  19. What else would you like to know besides what's on the Wiki page? It seems fairly thorough.
  20. Here's another update from over on Rokslide from 8/11/16:
  21. Kadena
  22. 200's twice as good as 100. You should have killed twice as many deer and made them twice as dead.
  23. It was a quiet neighborhood in Bellevue. Not exactly East St. Louis.
