  1. Agreed. I saw it last Thursday. An enjoyable ride but left something to be desired in the last act. I liked the not-so-subtle Easter egg of the Science Officer android's name.
  2. It's sad that they're trying to throw off the blind driver. Those numbers are out of order. The Braille labels make it: 4 5 6 R 1 2 3
  3. That's a great price for anyone looking for an optics-only 10/22. Here's a working link: https://palmettostatearmory.com/ruger-10-22-carbine-22lr-18-5-10rd-rifle-black-31210.html
  4. Same here. It was an enjoyable streaming movie. I also liked "Bright". It's a Netflix one with Will Smith as cop in a modern-day world but with fantasy creatures like Orcs and stuff. I was left wanting a Pt2 to see where they would go with the story, but I don't think that's happening.
  5. It does look promising but I have a high level of confidence that Kathleen Kennedy will make it chock full of woke agenda garbage. I hope I'm wrong because it looks like a great idea.
  6. Correct. You'd need to draw too much current on undersized wiring to generate the heat to start a fire. The printers don't pull enough juice for long enough to be an issue.
  7. The circuit could be 15A or 20A, depending on the age of the house. Newer homes are mostly 20A on outlets, but it wasn't that long ago that 15A was the norm. The breaker for that outlet will tell you. But I think you're overthinking it. The peak power draw on laser printers is very brief when they first power on. I wouldn't worry about it. Since you stress-tested it with powering them all on at once and printing on both at the same time and the breaker didn't trip, then your normal load will be well under the max. As for the power strip, it may have either a 15A or 20A fuse. If it's a 15A on a 20A circuit, the fuse will blow before the breaker trips. If it's a 20A fuse on a 15A circuit, the breaker will trip first. If they're both 15A or 20A, it's a crap shoot which will go first on an overload. If there's no fuse on the strip, it's basically dumb and will take as much power as you can feed it until it melts, but a breaker should trip long before that happens.
  8. And that Pinto was STILL better than the Mustang II.
  9. She's going about it wrong. She's painting Andy as a "do-nothing" Congressman . . . to true conservatives who really believe in limited government that's a plus. We like when Congress doesn't do anything.
  10. Hands down one of the funniest easter eggs of any Ryan Reynolds movie is in IF's credits. IYKYK. And speaking of Ryan Reynolds movies, I just got home from Deadpool - Wolverine. WOW! I think I liked this one the best of all the Deadpools, and I've really liked the others.
  11. That's barely a fun Saturday afternoon around this bunch!
  12. I think you underestimate the public's ability to forget things and overestimate the left's ability to hold anything against their own.
  13. I miss the one in Rivergate too, right there on the corner of Gallatin Rd and OHB, though it was $1.50 by my time . . . I saw Despicable Me 4 today. Fun movie. Not as good as the others, but enjoyable and a good nonstop story line. The minions, as always, steal the show.
  14. The more streaming services pop up, the closer I get to just saying "screw it!" and setting up a Kodi box.
  15. Horizon is good. I definitely was interested in seeing how it develops . . . oh well. My theater had the full 30 minutes of previews so 3.5 hours . . . yeesh. I picked a hot day and went to a 1:00p showing or something when I would have been staying indoors anyway so that worked out. I also liked The Postman. Water World was meh.
  16. @Dolomite_supafly welcome back! You've been missed!
  17. You need a place with no HOA. There's probably not an HOA anywhere that doesn't have some vague nuisance provision which can be interpreted any way the board wants to.
  18. +1 to Bikeriders. Very good acting. I plan to go see Despicable Me 4 tomorrow and Horizon on Thursday morning
  19. A Quiet Place: Day One is good. I watched it today at the AMC Dolby in Cool Springs. The Dolby Atmos sound system is outstanding and for a movie all about sounds, it was an added boost to the film. It's the opposite of Horizon at just over 90 minutes (2 hours with previews). I plan to see The Bikeriders this week and maybe Horizon if I can fit it in the schedule. 3.5 hours with previews is a long time.
  20. Here's one more dick shot worth watching. The good stuff starts at 9:25.
  21. Monkey Man was a fun ride. Gonna try to see Bad Boys 4: Still Milking this Old Goat this week and also Bikeriders.
  22. Um . . . you mean like ALL of the last movie? The axe fight in the club was ridiculously stupid, then the stair climb took it to a whole 'nother level of ridiculousness. It's like they said "let's see just how much of the 'Fast & the Furious' treatment we can give this movie". At least Wick didn't drive his car down the side of a dam, but I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if they had him drive up one.
  23. Yep. Those are included in their subscription too. They'll replay some newer "classics" too. A few weeks ago they did the LotR trilogy, one each day. I watched JAWS on IMAX a couple of years ago. That was super cool and the first time I've ever seen it on a big screen.
  24. I have the AMC subscription so I can go as much as I want for just $21.80/month incl. taxes. That makes it nice because if a movie sucks, I can just leave and go do something else and don't feel like I wasted my money, just a little time. Technically it's not unlimited, it's 3 movies a week. I can only think of once in the past 2 years where there were actually more than 3 movies out I wanted to see in a week AND had time to do more than 3. I just waited and saw the 4th one the next week. AMC's plan is way better than Regal's because AMC doesn't upcharge for anything. I can see movies at the IMAX, Dolby, 3D, etc. with no extra fees. Regal charges fees for EVERYTHING, including booking tickets in their own app. They're ridiculous. I go to usually 3-4 movies a month except in the lean months of January-April when not much comes out and it's the dumping ground for bad movies. Even then I usually get to 1 or 2 a month. May through August is prime time for blockbusters and October-December is prime time for the dramas and the occasional blockbuster, especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas.
