  1. Right on, strel. Since the government knows where the ex-con felons live in many cases and they don't have ANY consitutional rights, we'll bypass the 3rd ammendment on them and quarter troops in their homes. That should save us some money by shrinking military base housing. And while they're there, we may as well deputize the troops so they can search through the felon's place for whatever. No warrant needed since the 4th ammendment no longer applies. And if they kick up a fuss, we'll convict them on the same charge they got convicted on the first time, seeing as how the 5th ammendment doesn't protect them from double jeopardy. The second trial will be faster than the first since they no longer have a guarantee of a jury trial as stated in the 6th and 7th. Suspending the 8th will let the judge set bail at twenty trillion dollars, while the felon basically becomes the government's property when the 9th and 10th no longer apply. The felon can't peacably assemble to protest any of this, or go to church to talk to the pastor, or even pray to a higher power for help because the 1st is gone too.

  3. My P-22 FTF'd a lot with the Federal 550 bulk pack from Wally World when I first got it. I switched to CCI MiniMags and it's been perfect. I need to try the bulk stuff again. IIRC, the P-22 Bible suggests that as the main spring gets loosened up from use, it will become more forgiving of lower powered rounds. With the P-22, inconsistency from one gun to the next seems to be pretty common based on what I've read across several forums. One will take anything you give it while another needs some caviar, a limo ride, and mood music to make it work.
  4. 181 and 182 here. +1 to Fallguy and LagerHead. Posting pretty much guarantees I'll go elsewhere. But I don't need an affirmative green sticker to spend, just the absence of a red one.
  5. I thought the "Calming Baby" instructions' "Bad" option was a pretty good idea. I suppose for legal reasons, Granny's XXX hooch could be swapped with Benadryl or cough syrup.
  6. +1 on the CCI MiniMags. Mine has no preference for the FMJ vs. the JHP. Either works fine. I've shot around 800 to 1000 so far. I keep CCI Stingers in it when it's not at the range. I've pushed about 100 of those through it with no problem. Not my first choice if I need one for defense, but it's ready in case I need it. You'll want to read this too: http://www.freespeech.com/1917-1911M_P22_bible.pdf If the mag has a "B" or higher marking, most of the mods in the bible have already been done. You still want to look at the trigger bar ears though.
  7. +1. Having the camera crews around continually reminds the colonists that it's a TV show. It's interaction with the outside world that damages the experiment.
  8. Keep in mind that the colonists all still know it's a TV show and not real. Anyone they encounter is scripted for them to encounter, and they know it. They just have to decide if the producers are sending them friend or foe. Michel and logger-girl were accepted in pretty quickly once it was apparent they were meant to be part of the group, and not just passing marauders/beggars/traders. They just moved more quickly with Tick. The fact that he's even there means the producers put him there. It was pretty clear that he could have had his way with them, but didn't. So they read "intentionaly here" + "helping us now" + "has skills this group is seriously lacking" = "friend". Look on the bright side. They finally cut down the stairs to the upstairs.... Though I suspect those were a second set of stairs, or from another house. Too inconvenient to cut out the stairs they actually use.
  9. That wasn't a chick. Just a euro-dude with man-boobs. Oh....you mean the 2nd rider.
  10. Ahead of its time. Water Slide Does Full Loop Granted, the German one has a slight angle to one side, so it's not a true loop, but it's pretty close. Sorry for a video with a dude in a speedo.

  13. That's how it starts.
  14. The question still remains as to whether or not charges would stick if agents (employees) of the posted establishment denied visibility of the sign(s). Of course that assumes that the establishment owner is such an anti that he/she'd press charges. I'd guess that the odds are pretty good that a manager would just inform the person of the policy and ask them to leave. It's bad for business to make a big scene.
  15. Uselton's in Franklin beside the Toyota dealership (behind Whitt's) is the closest that I know of. He does have a nice range, but you'll pay a lot for it, and for the gun rentals, and for the mandatory range ammo. http://www.useltonindoorshootingsports.com/ Personally, I'd take the time to drive up to see the fellas at Guns and Leather in Greenbrier. http://www.gunsandleather.com/ You could also catch 840 around to Murfreesboro to On Target. I've never shot there, but it's probably closer to you than Greenbrier. Indoor Shooting Range Firearms & Concealed Carry Permit Classes - Murfreesboro, TN - On Target Indoor Gun Range Whichever way you go, I'd call and ask about any specific rentals that you're interested in.
  16. I've asked around on several websites, including here, about the difference in the P-22 short and long barrel. Everyone says go with the short one. The 5" barrel doesn't add any accuracy according to the responses I've seen. Of course every shooter is different, so YMMV. And +1 on the P-22 for fun. Anyone with (or considering) a P-22 should read a great writeup from a guy going by the name 1917-1911M. His discoveries about the internals of this gun have resulted in some of the modifications made at the factory. http://www.freespeech.com/1917-1911M_P22_bible.pdf
  17. As stated on the other thread, name brand or price don't have much to do with tread life. A cheaper off-brand tire can last longer than an expensive premium brand. But tread life is only a part of a tire's performance. There's also speed rating, wet traction, dry traction, noise, ride comfort, and ice/snow/mud/offroad traction. Check the UTQG code on tires you're looking at. It will show you a number for the tread life, then two leters for speed and temperature ratings. The tread life doesn't mean how many miles you'll get, but it's more of a relative number. A 200 tire will get half the miles of a 400 tire. On one car, that could be 20K and 40K. On another car that could be 35K and 70K. As for the factory tires not holding up, it's because most car manufacturers now use tires with a low tread life number to cut costs. My Mazda 3 came with some Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires that were banana peels by 18K. Not a cheap tire at about $150 ea, just a low tread life. I've always liked www.tirerack.com. They have a good selector tool for your vehicle's year/make/model and then you can sort by what properties are important to you. +1 on Michelins. You'll usually pay more for them, but they're great tires all around. Performance and tread life is usually excellent.
