  1. Someone's still watching Sons of Guns?
  2. Their Goldbox Deal of the Day is a Wild Game Innovations 6.0 MP camera in Realtree APG cammo for $89.99. Seems like a decent price if anyone is looking for one. Good for today only until they run out. Amazon.com Gold Box: New Deals. Every Day.
  3. Be sure to start the call to the ATF with "Um...I have this friend..."
  4. Right, but what the OP is about is if the buyer can be the courier, not the seller. There may be legal ways to do it, but it certainly goes against the spirit of the law, which is to keep the firearm out of the buyer's hands until the proper paperwork is done.
  5. No. Technically the FFL has to be the middle man in between the buyer and the seller (or giver and giftee if you're lucky ). So the gun has to be returned to the current GA owner, then delivered to a TN FFL (either personally by him/her, or via courier/mail). The FFL will do the paperwork and then you can get the handgun from the FFL. If the GA resident is coming up for a visit some time, you could continue to hold on to it as a "loaner" until that happens. Then you both can take it to a local TN FFL for the transfer.
  6. I'm picturing some mall ninja with brown pegboard sections zip-tied on to a tac-vest.....
  7. Oooh. I learn something new every day, and this is my item for today. Good to know.
  8. The bronze membership would be $100 with the groupon instead of the usual $200. Then it's $10 for each range visit and buying a box of his ammo each trip ($22+ for some FMJ 9mm, anyone?). If it wasn't for the ammo requirement, it would be somewhat reasonable. $10 per visit isn't bad, and $100/year for some exclusivity on a well built, well maintained, and not over crowded indoor range isn't bad either. If I lived closer, I'd probably seriously consider it. It really is a nice range. I can go to G&L or N-Range for about the same price without the membership or ammo requirements, but they're further away and G&L gets busy in the peak hours. Or for 10 more minutes in the car and $40/year, I can get pistol, rifle, and shotgun time at Charlie's place. Still, it's a fairly good deal for folks in the Franklin area.
  9. Here's how I'd go from Dickson: East on 70 to White Bluff Left onto Hwy 47 (Charles Speight Hwy) Split Right onto Hwy 250 (Claylick Rd) Come up Hwy 250 into CWMA, then right onto Griffintown road. That's right by Grumpy's market if it's still there. It's a really sharp right, almost a full U-turn onto Griffintown Rd. Split left onto Headquarters Rd and the range is on the left.
  10. nicemac beat me to it. I was just about to post that link. The irony in that photo is priceless. Who wants to take odds that there's satellite or cable hooked up to that LCD TV?
  11. For rifle it's a toss up between CHMR and Stones River. CHMR is more convenient with less hassle, but SRHEC has nicer shooting benches. My preferences in descending order for handgun G&L Greenbrier NRange in Hendersonville CHMR Not shooting at all Uselton's in Franklin Stones River I haven't tried G&L Hendersonville yet. Uselton's is a great indoor range, but too expensive for my wallet. I'd like to shoot there, but just can't afford it. At Stones River on the handgun range, I always feel like I'm about to be on the news after getting shot by someone who doesn't know what they're doing and can't follow the RSOs' simple instructions. No thanks.
  12. Thank you for your service. I've never heard of exemptions for military service, and I didn't see any after a quick browse of the TN Dept of Safety website. If there is an exemption, at best I'd think it would exempt someone from the range portion, but not the class. Most of the class is spent on TN state law and when deadly force can be used legally. I don't see how military training would cover that. Here's a sticky thread on this forum with lots of HCP information. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handgun-carry-self-defense/414-tennessee-handgun-permit-resources.html
  13. well, yeah. If they drew her ugly, Victor9er might have gotten them confused and shot the wrong one.
  14. Or eat almost none of it on Friday so they can have something over the weekend. Backpack programs are a very rewarding way to get involved without a major time commitment. If you can bag groceries, you can do this. How about a TGO volunteer day at the Nashville Second Harvest Food Bank? Second Harvest» Volunteer
  15. Colts owner just said Manning will be "out for a while".
  16. Nashville Sporting Arms on Charlotte beside the Nashville West shopping area is probably the closest to you. Not a huge selection of supplies like Reloader's Bench, but it's close and the folks that are running it now are super nice.
  17. That's great. I actually like your version better. It's easier to read and well organized.
  18. Sure, but did you have Charlie's permission to copy his stuff? A redirect URL could get the results you're looking for on a web search without making a whole seperate site. Just something to think about. I can't speak for Charlie, but he may or may not want his site showing up on the top of Google.
  19. I always just google "CHMR". It's always one of the top 5 results. It's #2 right now. It's not hard to find. "CHMR owl hollow" makes it the #1 result on Google. Unless I'm missing something, this looks like you made a whole new site with info and pics that were copied from the real CHMR site. It doesn't look like a simple redirect URL. Is this being done with Charlie's permission? I know I'd not be happy if someone basically copied my site and didn't bother to ask first. Not to mention that if he ever updates his (not likely, I know), yours would have out dated information.
  20. RichieRich may be on to something. Are you sure you needed to pull your shirt down and not pull your pants up? Plumber's butt can make a person lose their appetite.
  21. I watched Resident Evil yesterday. I want those 2 hours of my life back.
  22. When I ordered 4 cans, it came in 2 wooden cases (2 cans in each wooden case). One can opener was included in each case attached to the underside of the lid. If I didn't have the can opener, then a putty knife/chisel and a hammer would do the trick. The can metal is pretty thin.
  23. I want to know why the trailer was on fire.
