Well played KahrMan. I almost spit Coke all over my desk.
-
I've seen some bad officiating, but I think the refs had money on Wisconsin.
-
Welcome to the Internet.
-
Even if you did have either of those in stock, that douchenozzle was probably ready to tell you your price was too high and that he heard about one on gunbroker for $10 less. Then...."how much are your FFL transfer fees?"
-
I think I need wins from Louisville and Marquette to stay in this.

The great thing about bracketology is that you don't really need to know a lot about basketball. If you know the statistics behind the rankings, you can make some pretty good guesses. A #1 has never lost in the first round. Before today, only four #2 teams have ever lost in the first round. Upsets will usually happen to a few of the 3,4, and 5 teams, but it's a crapshoot picking which ones. After that, the teams are fairly evenly matched so it's a coin toss for those too unless you actually do know something about the teams. Even then, I don't think it improves the odds that much. For picking a tie-breaker score for the final game: always remember that this isn't the NBA. College games usually fall in the upper 50's to low 80's in points per team.

Why did I give bonus points for seeds? FJ, enjoy those extra 15 points.
-
Another "trick" on the scoring is that the first 2 rounds award bonus points equal to the winner's "seeding". So if you pick a #2 to beat a #15 and they do, you get 1 point for the win, and 2 points for the seed for a total of 3 points. But if you picked Norfolk State or Lehigh, both #15's that beat #2's today, you would have received 16 points each, 1 for the win + 15 for the seed ranking. I did that to reward people who went out on a limb and picked unexpected upsets. So 2 people with the same number of correct picks could have different scores based on those seed bonuses. That only applies for the first 2 rounds. After that, it's back to normal. If you check my Opening Post, you'll see the details of how each round is scored.

(Carry?) Fall Creek Falls Campground

Lumber_Jack is correct. For proof, you can read the TCA found here http://www.lexisnexis.com/hottopics/tncode/ 39-17-13-59 is what we're discussing. B3a and B3b discuss the wording of the sign B3c says the circle-slash is good enough. -

That's good to know. I thought Nashville was grandfathered in too. -
Well, FSU pulled it off by 3....and barring a total collapse by the Hoyas, Belmont is coming home early.

I'm starting to fall apart in the Midwest region.

Thanks for the holster tip. I can carry the XDsc in a CompTac Minotaur, but when the Kahr is so much smaller, it's just easier to grab it instead, and more comfortable. the PM9 doesn't get completely forgotten about while worn, like an LCP, but it's pretty close.

^^This One note on national parks is that buildings where actual NPS employees (aka rangers) work are off-limits, sign or not. I don't think I have seen a building where they work that wasn't posted with a gunbuster, but it's not required. A gift shop or snack bar operated by a contractor would have to be posted, but a visitor center or ranger station is off-limits posted or not. All state parks are good-to-go. City parks have to post except that Nashville and Knoxville (any others?) city parks are off limits even without a proper sign. Confused yet? Thank a legislator. -
OS, what hoslter do you use for pocket carry on the PM9? I keep mine in a Remora for IWB, but it's a little large for pocket carry. An XD is a great shooter. I love shooting my XDsc in .40. I'm a better shot with it than I am with about any other handgun. XDsc (any caliber) does have a round count advantage over a comparable Glock, but the size difference between them is small only on paper. In the real world, A G26's slightly smaller size and several ounces lighter weight make a noticable difference. That said, if Glock would make a subcompact single-stack, I'd be all over it. Until then, the XD is on nightstand duty and the PM9 is my closest friend.

Then we'll need another law that says red or yellow guns are banned to prevent confusion. This one will be state-specific, so you'll need to check umbrellalaw.us before travelling.

That's what the old lady behind the counter thinks is the reason, but it's probably less nefarious than that. The park probably has a cardboard box full of the fliers that were printed up several years ago. Until they run out, they won't reprint more. Same as the signs that bkelm18 mentioned.

1 game down and already a scoring difference.
-
There are 14 players in the pool. I said earlier no prizes. I changed my mind. $25 Bass Pro or Academy card goes to the winner (winner's choice)
-
Correct. If you choose "options" then "Personal" you can edit the screen name to match your TGO screen name if you'd like. It would certainly make it easier to know whose bracket is falling apart.
-
yep. Just 2 hours 38 minutes to go. Lock in those picks, TGO!
-
Yeah, and SETI may not like what they find if they ever find something....
-
We have 9 now with just under 14 hours to go.....

The Sudekum Planetarium (at the Adventure Science Center) in conjunction with the Barnard-Seyfert Astronomical Society hosts star parties at various sites around the Nashville area. I plan to go to the one in April at Edwin Warner Park. http://www.sudekumplanetarium.com/starparties/index.shtml Sudekum also has late shows every 2nd Saturday of a month. Normally you have to buy admission to the ACC and then add-on a ticket to the planetarium. For the late shows, you can pay for just the planetarium. And yes, they do a Pink Floyd show <<That ain't no Marlboro>> CAS that Mechanic_X mentioned can be found here: http://www.cumberlandastronomicalsociety.org/ Vandy's Dyer Observatory has free Fridays every 2nd Friday (except June). It's located off of Granny White Pike near Radnor Lake state park. http://www.dyer.vanderbilt.edu/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=55
