  1. This is why I don't ride. Also, there's a spider (or other bug) in his hospital bed. Watch the closeup of his ankle at around the 0:23 mark.
  2. peejman, I was thinking the same thing.
  3. Or their ammo inside the ammo cans inside the steel storage units.
  4. I wouldn't worry about the ammo so much as the effect of the heat on the guns. I've never had any FTE/FTF issues from my Springfield XD except after leaving it in a hot car all day before going to the range.
  5. Look out! He's got a knife!
  6. $189. http://sport.woot.com/offers/rapid-reticle-33mm-red-dot-reflex-sight I don't know anything about the item, but firearms accessories (and knives) on Woot! are always a nice thing to see.
  7. The stuff in a metal can shouldn't be allowed to be called kraut. It's nasty. Try some of the kraut found in plastic bags in your grocer's deli area, or near the hotdogs. It's much better. Sabrett brand is quite tart if you like that. I prefer Boar's Head. I was thinking about canning some later, but after looking at the effort in the recipes, waiting for the fermentation, etc., then remembered that I only eat the stuff a few times a year, I decided to stick with the deli stuff for my kraut fix.
  8. I did 2 dozen pints of baby carrots yesterday with D3vo and my mom. We used a Presto that held 8 jars at a time. Like others said, follow the directions in the books. It was my first time doing any canning and it was easier, but took longer, than I thought.
  9. Followed by the always popular "How to braid leg hair: Women only"
  10. I love my Remora.
  11. The Constitution limits the government, not private parties.
  12. It's not ilegal for me to handle a firearm while the line is cold, but the privately owned range has every right to not allow that on their property.
  13. I think TGO Vendor D&T Arms in Rivergate stocks Supertucks. Give them a call.
  14. Besides Knoxville City parks, are there any others that can be off-limits but not posted (besides public parks being used for school functions like athletics)?
  15. Nothing in the law says that the sign has to be professionally printed, just that it has to have some specific language (see TCA 39-17-1359) OR be a gunbuster. It sounds to me like they are properly posted. To answer your OP question, yes, you may legally carry past in improper sign. Something that simply says "No firearms allowed on premises" or something like that can be ignored. Choosing to comply is optional*, but expect to at least be asked to leave if you're "made". Failure to leave when asked would be trespassing, regardless of any firearms/postings. *Some people think that some businesses intentionally use improper signage. This makes it look like they ban firearms to most people, but to those in the know, they give a wink-and-nod. Personally, I don't buy that. I think it's simpler than that. I think that businesses that do that are often national or multinational companies that don't know the law in every state so they make a generic "no firearms" sign and then leave it up to the local managers to enforce as they please/are allowed to do.
  16. Those could have been legit until they said "Modified holsters also available!" Any ful noes that you have to slip it in your waistband...
  17. Sweet! $75K coming my way!
  18. I know, I know. Memphis isn't Beirut in the 1980s, but we have to have fun with other parts of the state. Memphis just happens to be the whipping boy for now.
  19. 5. Memphis, Tenn. Violent crimes per 1,000: 15.8 Population: 652,725 2011 murders: 117 Median income: $37,045 Unemployment rate: 11.1% In 2011, Memphis defied the national trend of declining crime rates in major U.S. cities. The rate of violent crimes per 1,000 people increased, from 15.4 to 15.8. This was the product of increases in murders, which rose from 89 to 117 cases, and aggravated assault incidents, which rose by 100 cases. A rising unemployment rate, which grew 1.2% to 11.1% in 2011, likely has not helped to reduce criminal behavior. http://realestate.ya...in-america.html
  20. Caption: What haunts Bill's dreams.
  21. And just like the last time...everyone has to Quote the picture.... I guess I only have myself to blame. Sam1, there's a mud boggin' coming up at the Cheatham Co. fairgrounds (or maybe it was last weekend). You should show up with your ride.
  22. You should add a "3 eagles and the sun" to your collection. All the chicks love 'em.
  23. Pay the ticket, plus the late penalty, plus the DL renewal. You'll be good to go.
  24. It's Texas. I'm thinking the DA doesn't want a mark in the Loss column. I'd still bet on a civil case though.
