  1. C. None Of The Above Corker won't be getting my vote, but Zach Poskevich and Brenda Lenard are the only 2 running against him that aren't basically Basil Marceux redux. Neither have the war chest to take on a sitting US Senator. It's an extremely difficult task to beat an incumbent senator, esp. in a primary. In the past 30 years, only 6 have lost their primary. That's why no true competition is running. Almost nobody who is connected enough to win a Senate seat will challenge within their own party. They'll challenge a weak incumbent from the other side, or wait for the seat to become open.
  2. Who would have Surefires and other quality lights in stock? I'd like to take a look at some before dropping the coin.
  3. Terry Hetrick (male) is the staff pro at the Nashville Gun Club. He's a very accomplished shooter and an excellent instructor. I'll be sending my wife to learn from him once the weather cools down. He's real easy going and has taught a lot of beginners of both genders.
  4. I bet that water just spread it around. He needed a gallon of milk to pour over his face.
  5. don't think about it. Do it. The change to Lithium-Ion over the old NiMH is huge and well worth the cost. Milwaukee is now owned by the same company that makes Ryobi (decent for light duty) and Homelite (trash). Milwaukee still manufactures in Mississippi. If the tool is made in the USA, it's a real Milwaukee. If it's made in China, it's an upgraded Ryobi. That's not necessarily a horrible thing. Dewalt tools are upgraded Black & Deckers and are generally considered a quality tool. If you have liked your Ryobi tools, Milwaukee should feel comparable, except for the change to Lithium batteries. They are awesome! I have used/own a mix of B&D, Dewalt, Craftsman, Rigid, Milwaukee, Hitachi, and Bosch. I like my Bosch tools the best with Rigid a close second. I chose my Bosches after reading some reviews in Popular Mechanics where they tortured several LiIon drills and the Bosch was their winner. For a real treat pick up one of the little LiIon pocket drivers to match whatever full-sized drill you choose. Small, super light, and my Bosch will drive drywall screws for hours. They're perfect for 90% of screw-driving jobs short of major construction.
  6. Keeping your football scholarship and quiting the team isn't an option. Any current player (scholarship or not) can now transfer from PSU to any other NCAA team without having to sit out (red shirt) a year with the new team. The coming seasons at PSU will have 10 fewer players on scholarships, but not 10 fewer players. Those 10 spots will be filled by less talented players.
  7. That may come (unlikely), but that would be from the DA and law enforcement, not the NCAA. The NCAA can only issue fines and direct how their member schools compete. They don't enforce laws.
  8. All Regal theaters are posted in the manner that wewoapsiak described. I don't personally find that to be "plainly visible" in the way that the law is written, but my opinion doesn't matter. It's the DA's that matters. I take my business to Carmike theaters now. They are not posted.
  9. The post-season ban is kind of worthless. Any good players there now will be transferring since they won't have to red-shirt. Any good players who might be looking at PSU in the next few seasons, won't be any more. PSU won't be good enough to qualify for post-season play for thext 5+ years. I too was expecting a death penalty for the coming season, on top of what they did. I was also expecting a special commission from the NCAA that would oversee the PSU athletics for the next 5 years. Maybe that's part of the "on probation".
  10. That's the first store that came to my mind when I read your OP. By selling G27 mags for $49.95 to people who don't know any better.
  11. Let that slide slam shut. My LCP will hurt my hand if I try to run 100 rds in a range session. I now limit myself to absolutely no more than 50 per trip, and usually no more than 18 (3 mags). So this is your fair warning: the break-in can be rough on your shooting hand.
  12. I thought you guys called your public outdoor range "Garden View".
  13. I was thinking the same thing. And changing my vehicle regularly.
  14. Why not? They're having their big 2015 convention in a convention hall that won't allow carry.
  15. A 3-party system can't work as long as we have winner-take-all (first past the post) elections. There will be the occasional 3rd party candidate in smaller races, but nothing in the big races. If it ever happens, it won't be consistent. It will be an anomaly. The question is, how do we change from a first-past-the-post to another system, like alternative-vote, or mixed-member-proportional, or something else? In the CGP Grey videos I linked to earlier, his examples say that the queen lioness changes the system. But how do we change that, since we don't have a benevolent queen lioness?
  16. This is indeed the endgame for Breaking Bad. It's the final season. I haven't read the TWD comics. I would assume that in addition to expense, there could be some things in there that just wouldn't translate well to TV audiences. That's why Peter Jackson chopped Tom Bombadil and the stop at his house (and the graves afterwards) from The Fellowship of the Ring. When something in a book is too weird for a movie about halflings, elves, dwarves, dragons, orcs, goblins, magic rings, wizards, walking-talking-trees, enchanted swords, whatever-Golum-is, armies of the dead, giant spiders, flying-lizard-dragon-things and a balrog, that's a sign that it's pretty darn weird.
  17. Han Solo: It's not wise to upset a wookiee. C-3P0: But sir, nobody ever worries about upsetting a droid. Han Solo: That's 'cause droids don't pull people's arms out of their sockets when they lose. Wookiees are known to do that. Chewbacca: grrrrrrwwwwfff C-3P0: I see your point, sir. I suggest a new strategy, R2: let the Wookiee win.
  18. And it was 109 here a couple of weeks ago....
  19. Thanks, but that wasn't it. I was trying to avoid multiple posts, and I can only put 2 media links in a post, so it would have been 2 posts to get 3 media links. Instead I was able to get one post to have 3 URL links, but FUBARd it up so bad that I ended up with 3 posts instead of the original 2....doh!
  20. Nice. Can't wait. And MERLE!!!!! Awesome. The only thing keeping me held over until then will be Breaking Bad's final season.
  21. Thanks. That helps. But that wasn't it after all. I was trying to post URLs to 3 YouTube videos. The board software was making them media links instead making them imbedded videos instead of plain old URLs. Once I changed them to URLs, it worked fine.
