  1. +1 on the CMMG stainless .22 kit. I have one for my M&P AR and love it. CDNN tends to have one of the lowest prices on it.
  2. No need to go grave robbing. There's a fresh one going right now. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/51364-chic-fil-a-at-turkey-creek-knoxville/
  3. Wow, I can't believe that I didn't put those 2 things together. That's awesome. Finally, something to like Skyler for. It looks like I was wrong about them not bringing in another drug kingpin for Walt to need the M60 for. Walt means to defend his own turf, and now he'll be wanting theirs over in Phoenix too.
  4. TCA 39-17-1359 says that the posting has to be at the entrance to the property or area of the property that is being marked as off-limits. In theory, a big gun buster up behind the bar would not be legally binding since you don't have to walk past the back wall to sit at the bar. Picture the typical O'Charley's or Outback restaurant. To properly post just the bar area, they would have to have a gunbuster or properly worded sign at each of the walkways that allow access to the bar. They could also stick a gunbuster on the bathroom doors and then the bathrooms are off limits. It's not a "bar" or "not bar" so much as it's a section of the building vs another section of the building. That's my interpretation of the letter of the law. Your DA may disagree.
  5. Comcast has DVR options now. I have TiVos and love them. It'd be hard to justify their cost now that Comcast has their own DVRs, but the interface of a TiVo is the best. The downside is that you lose the OnDemand option.
  6. The old signs will reference TCA 39-17-1305. That portion of the law has been repealed. Someone else on here (Fallguy or Dolomite perhaps?) mentioned some time ago that they thought some alcohol boards still required the old signs to be up even though 39-17-1305 had been repealed. It was just a matter of a department's policies not changing quickly enough to reflect the then rapidly changing gun laws. In those cases, you can't really hold the restaurant responsible for that. nysos makes a good comparison to the state parks signs. No longer legally binding, but not required to be taken down, either.
  7. Robert's right, if the bar area is posted. It can be posted while the rewst of the restauarnt is good to go. If you're referring to the old signs that said something like "It is an offence to carry a firearm where alcohol is served" and cites some part of the TCA, those are old, and would not contain the language needed in the current posting law found in TCA 39-17-1359 to make the bar off limits. That seems to be the general consenus around here. since there's no test case on 39-17-1359 yet, nobody's exactly sure how those old signs might try to be enforced if someone wanted to really push the issue.
  8. That sign is out of date and no longer applies. You're good to go unless it's posted property. You can't drink when carrying, posting or not.
  9. I don't always hunt deer, but when I do, I prefer piano wire.
  10. Maybe not, but equipment is. My cheap Dell mouse at work nets me around 228. My much better mouse at home puts me around 190.
  11. It looks like TGO David may be using Siri's body hiding services...... Is this going to be the new TGO trend? PIcs of guns and phones instead of guns and steaks?
  12. Your 1st three shots are all centered in the same spot, just south of Louisville. The last two are in the same spot near Hendersonville. Those are the 2 locations of the Doppler radars for Louisville and Nashville. It's just an echo. Sort of like seeing the green around a radr site on a clear sunny day. It's just false echo, not rain. Same thing here, just bumped up on the color scale.
  13. I don't know about that. Does your Android with hippie "Gingerbread" or "Ice Cream Sandwich" help you hide a body? Siri does.
  14. 1pointofview, I believe that a sticky point on 1309 is that it simply discusses possession of a firearm and does not mention intent to go armed. This would seem to imply that the non-student adult would be OK to have the firearm in the vehicle, provided it isn't touched, and is unloaded by the legal definition I posted above. In theory, an HCP holder who wants to pick up their kid from school can legally do so with their firearm, but only if they stop before reaching the school to unload and separate ammo, mags, and handgun. After picking up their child, they can exit the school property and then reload. Asinine, and nobody does that, but I think that's the letter if the law. If I'm wrong, OhShoot or Fallguy will be along to correct me The post above about campus security is a valid one. I attended a small school where there were a few guys who liked to hunt. They kept their rifles and ammo at the security office and would call them up about 30 minutes before heading out to the field. A security guard would meet them at the office and give them their guns. It worked well for them, but they were only needing access once or twice a week and only during hunting seasons.
  15. And has been awarded a nice shiny new title. Well played.
  16. You guys are slipping....this is post #10 and I'm the first one saying... "Shot in the butt? Must have been a Glock."
  17. After you're done, you may want to stop by here to prevent any future trips to the "Who's Yer Daddy" wagon.
  18. I'm thinking Skyler spills the beans to her sister. She'll want a piece of the action (remember, she's a kleptomaniac who likes her some shiny things). Hank finally figures it out and Walt needs the M60 to handle the DEA. It would feel rushed if a major drug player showed up and put a serious hurt on the operation (thus requiring the M60). It took 3 seasons before we saw Gus, and 4 before we saw his connection/history with the Mexican cartels. 1/2 season to bring in a major player? I sure hope not.
  19. Per TCA, a loaded mag is a loaded weapon, so no, you shouldn't have that on campus. TCA 39-17-1301-18
  20. Maybe they should tell Jr. about the operation. Make it a family business. He can be their mule in his new Challenger. J/K
