  1. Another vote for D&T. Then you can drive 10 min up the road to G&L Hendersonville for some quality time getting to know one another.
  2. There must be some mistake. It's a peaceful religion.
  3. http://www.wtsp.com/news/watercooler/article/272775/58/Teen-accidentally-shoots-off-his-penis-and-testicle
  4. This just hit Yahoo! news feed. http://news.yahoo.com/you-don-t-bring-a-3d-printer-to-a-gun-fight----yet.html
  5. Except if it's in your vehicle. Then an HCP allows it to be loaded, but not one in the chamber. HCP does not allow walking around with a long gun.
  6. I'm in need of some more AK mags and found some Egyptian Maadi steel surplus 30rd with a ribbed back. How do those compare to the European surplus like Yugoslavian, Romanian, and Russian? How about to the Asian milsurp?
  7. Not if you had a batch of reloads then sold your one firearm that uses that caliber.
  8. Square reads the card data and converts it to an audio signal that is not encrypted. The app reads the data and does its thing. Well, it's not hard to read that data with a different app and you then have all the card data in plain text. You can also reverse the direction and have an app on a second device that outputs stolen card data into an audio signal via a basic 3.5mm cable into the device running the square app and you can run charges on a card that you don't have physical possession of. The new square devices are black (old are white) and do encrypt, but it's not as robust as it really needs to be. The risk isn't for the vendor using a square reader, but for the card holder. Never let someone swipe your card through a white square reader. There are other brands that are encrypted and are also white.
  9. Add $25 to the online price for Tax/TICS and add sales tax to the LGS price then decide if the difference is worth the convenience and speed of the LGS. If not, go on-line. Don't forget to factor in other "perks" that an LGS can offer. GnL for example gives a range pass with every gun purchase. That's worth about $10, IIRC, and can close the gap between them and on-line. Other shops may offer similar or other services.
  10. Just because it's stuffed now doesn't mean the meat wasn't eaten when the animal was taken. How many TN hunters have deer heads or racks mounted some place? I don't see it as any different since plains zebra are not an endangered or threatened species. As for poachers, they could never ever get enough of what's coming to them, in my book.
  11. Glad to know I'm not crazy. I saw this beast about 4 or 5 months ago and think about it every time I drive down Sneed. I didn't want to ask on here without photos, and I only saw him/her the one time. "Wolf" was the first thing that came to mind when I saw him. He's a big mofo.
  12. .... according to some Google-Fu, it will be summer of 2013.
  13. I've seen him about an hour before sunset walking about 20-40 feet from the shoulder of a roadway parallel with the road. There were horses in the area. He didn't get too close to them, so I don't know if he would have spooked them if he had.
  14. How long do we have to wait for the rest of the season? At least we'll soon have The Walking Dead to pass the time.
  15. I've seen that one too, KahrMan. If it's a 'yote, it's the Godzilla of 'yotes. I've seen him around the large horse farm on the south side of Sneed near Vaughn Rd. I wondered if it might be a red wolf. they were reintroduced to N. Carolina back in the 1980s, but I don't think there are enough in the wild to have spread this far yet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_wolf
  16. What is this "free firewood at Frozen Head" you are talking about? I thought it was just scavenge whatever dead stuff was on the ground. Do they have free stuff up at the main building?
  17. I'll be trying Chickasaw State Park later this month. About 2.5 hrs west of Nashville. It has a lake with fish and a separate tent camping area,so you're not pitched next to an RV. Limited hiking in the park, but it's adjacent to Chickasaw State Forest with lots of trails. It also has a horse stable where you can hire out some horses for a trail ride. http://tn.gov/enviro...arks/Chickasaw/ No fishing, but the primitive camp sites at Frozen Head are pretty great. They're along a creek bank. Several trails of all difficulties too.
  18. No. Your pictures are nasty.
  19. icon -a sign or representation that stands for its object by virtue of a resemblance or analogy to it. Luger P08 Beretta M9/92 Glock G17
  20. Nashville's NPR (WPLN) covered the story this morning. Their headline was "Appeals Court Rules Against Radnor Lake Rambo." Who says bed-wetting liberals at WPLN don't have a sense of humor? That's an awesome nickname for L.E.
  21. That's.... ...disturbing.
  22. I wouldn't expect to see a resignation any time soon.
  23. I think BigK meant the only ones who know Walt's the cook are Skyler, Lydia, and Jesse. Plus pretty much the entire staff at Vamanos Pest...and the guys at the scrapyard...Skinny Pete and Badger might know too. There are plenty of threats out there. At some point, I'd expect the cartels from south of the border to come looking for some revenge and to regain their turf. Gus took out the major players in the part of Mexico he was affiliated with, but there's plenty more in Mexico, Colombia, etc. Plus the new crew from AZ. They know they can make money with Walt, but they can also kill him and take over New Mexico.
  24. I've been happy with the Primary Arms red dots. Maybe overkill for what you want. Academy usually has some Bushnell stuff in stock. https://www.primarya..._Arms_s/586.htm
  25. Messier. That's a good word. Then again, after Season 1's bathtub fiasco, I'm not sure it can get messier.
