  1. http://www.auctionzi...gref=NQQ8VBIT1R I found this while doing some auction site surfing. This collection is impressive to me. I'm picturing a WW2 guy packing up a duffel bag of loot and heading home after the war. The Browning Hi-Power with the Nazi stamps is beyond cool. Not to mention the two WW1 <<yes that's a ONE>> 1911s. Oh to be sitting on a pile o cash. Since I won't be scoring any of these awesome items, I thought I'd spread the word to you all.
  2. Oh the Interwebz where nothing ever actually goes away..... http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.300blktalk.com%2Fforum%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ff%3D136%26t%3D81184&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7DMUS
  3. Any ammo guys have a guess on how old these might be?
  4. Yeah, I think these will stay with me for a loooong time. From top: Unknown. No text. Super-X .300 H&H Magnum soft point Western .270 Winchester open point expanding Super-X 218 Bee open point expanding Xpert 22 Long Rifle
  5. I think these are awesome! My mom found them for me some place. What a cool gift.
  6. It must be that poncho he's sporting. If he puts on a sombrero and sings the Frito Bandito song, it's all over.
  7. How quickly we forget about those horrible Broncos throwback socks....
  8. Dennis was on the news last night saying he was going to try to get as many of his Greenbrier team into the Hendersonville store as he can.
  9. Not every show. Dancing With The Stars would be nothing but Thriller routines.
  10. wait, what? Those aren't zombies already?
  11. Put some undead on The Young & the Restless* and we'd watch that too. Shoot, I'd probably watch Grey's Anatomy with my wife if the hospital morgue got reanimated. *Here's some sample dialogue: Chet, I'm afraid you won't be takling over your father's company after his death. Not unless you put this fire poker through his eye socket. <<queue dramatic pause and music...camera pans away>>
  12. The title made me think "you lucky dog"... Glad she made that breakthrough. I'm still working on mine. She'll go shooting a couple of times a year, but that's it for now. She has her HCP, but never uses it.
  13. Don't be hatin on my field artillery gun with a flame thrower attachment.
  14. Yeah, at some point I look for Darryl to have to kill Merle to protect Carol. But first there will be smaller fights to build up to it.
  15. Check the booklet that came with your Michelins (no doubt buried in the back of your glove box by now). Most Michelins come with free road-side assistance. AAA used to be good for getting custom route maps printed up (free for members) but now we all have GPS and smartphones. The only thing I use AAA for is filing for an international drivers license when traveling outside the country. Usually a US DL is fine, but you never know when der Polizei will decide to make your life difficult.
  16. It was either on "Into The Wild" or "Survivorman" that I saw something about that. The tail is loaded with rich fat. It looked kind of like a well marbled ribeye steak, but without the ribeye
  17. Only if the property is posted. If it's just some crap in an employee handbook, it's not breaking the law. It might be a bad business move to carry there, but it's not breaking any law. Anywho...back to ankle carry. I'm not so sure that ankle is a big improvement over IWB when driving. I did some practice drawing with mine and found that the steering wheel is really in the way when trying to use my left hand to pull up my pants leg to expose the gun, leaning forward, and drawing with my right hand. I have long legs, so maybe that won't apply to everyone. It's definitely not my first choice in ways to carry. It's a little more awkward having the weight at my ankle instead of my waist, it takes longer to draw, and I'm much more self-conscious when using the ankle holster. Still, I'm glad I have the option when IWB/OWB/AK-47-across-the-back isn't feasible.
  18. Look for the Daryl v Merle to involve Carol in some way. Come to think of it, that would make sense if it was indeed Merle watching Carol.
  19. Notice that applies to non-student adults. Registered students don't get that allowance.
  20. I use a Remora IWB with a Kahr PM9 at about 4 o'clock. I wouldn't want to use a Remora in anything larger. I've tried a G26 in one and it was OK, but a more traditional IWB holster would probably be better. I have used a Crossbreed Supertuck (w/G19) and Comptac Minotaur (w/XDsc). Both are good, but I'd have to vote Crossbreed over CompTac. A good gun belt makes all the difference with anything heavier than the pocket guns, but I suppose that's true in IWB and OWB.
