  1. That depends on if you think you're sure of where you'll be buried. It would suck to have a prepaid plot in Knoxville but be retired in Florida when you die and your kids all live in Wyoming, and nobody you know lives in Knoxville any more.
  2.   The gunfire is a problem because it's inconsistent. Zombies are slow, can be found in herds, want to eat you, and can be killed by destroying the brain. It's not real, but it's consistent so viwers suspend disbelief and don't question it. Head shot hip-fires from a handgun at 200 yards followed by scoped rifles missing at 50 yards is not consistent. Inconsistencies in a story line kill the immersion factor by making the viewer focus on the fact that the story is pretend. The story the writers are trying to draw us into is interrupted by "hey....wait a minute....how could that have just happened when last week they did X?"   As for the safeties and revolvers ejecting, that's irritating for much the same reason. The details can make or break a story. The viewer is either engaged in the story or they aren't. Missing the details hurts that. Besides that, it's simply wrong. It would be like having a sound effect for a top-fuel dragster every time they drive by in that Hyundai. That said, it's only going to interrupt the immersion for enthusiasts like us that would notice those details. Most viewers won't notice that stuff, but anyone can notice the marksmanship inconsistency. That's why I think that's a much bigger deal.   The "safety" comment from Andrea, I think, was a throwback to season 1 when she had that nice handgun but didn't know how to use it. I think it was a wink-and-a-nod to how far she has come from scared dingy blonde to zombie-stomper. Sort of an inside-thing between her and Rick, and not so much a comment that his revolver has a safety.
  3. Glad you're OK. I don't think that's gonna buff out....         I was at an insurance conference (yeah...they're usually as exciting as that sounds) where I attended a session hosted by the assitant director of the IIHS and he showed some cool crash-test stuff. When asked about the SMART cars, he said, they're all roll-caged and airbags galore. They've made them about as safe as they can and they do well in most of the tests. there is some real solid engineering in them, but no amount of safety engineering can violate the laws of physics. When one gets smashed by a Ford Excursion, it's gonna hurt.   For all of you out there, if you don't have side-impact airbags, then seriously consider getting a vehicle that has them.   FYI - When asked what he drives, he said he and his wife drive Subarus. Either Forester or Outback...I can't recall now. He said it was the best car that IIHS has ever tested for protecting the occupants.
  4. I thought that was one of the most practically useful articles I've seen in a long time in that magazine. Certainly not a replacement for real training, but it raised some good points that I hadn't thought of.
  5. I use Fidelity for mine. They have excellent tools on their website for managing the funds/stocks that you select. I can't say I've seen anyone with better web tools.
  6. They don't do tours. Sorry.
  7. From the TWRA site: http://www.tn.gov/twra/huntlicense.html     <<emphasis mine>>
  8. FYI - That "recent legislation" isn't law yet. It's not effective until July 1, 2013.
  9. Yep. Katheryn Winnick is the actress. She does lots of her own stunts and won silver at the Canadian National Tae Kwon Do finals.
  10. The show is awesome, but I had to bump this up because of the GEICO commercial tonight. The gecko Viking ship was too funny.
  11. Mt. Juliet will be your best commute option and it has one of the better school systems (Wilson County #14 of 133). It's a growing area with a variety of housing price points and shopping. Lebanon schools are not rated as highly (Lebanon SSD is #92 of 133). Williamson County to the south of Nashville has the best public school system (#1 of 133). It's also going to be one of the more expensive places to buy property.   All 3 areas are worth exploring, but if it were me, I'd try to stay outside Lebanon's city limits if I were looking in Wilson county.     http://www.schooldigger.com/go/TN/districtrank.aspx
  12. Did you just say a Carnival cruise ship is better than a burned out prison? You really need to watch the news. ;)
  13. Then they fixed the metallurgy that was causing a part to break in the first place, making the "S" design change no longer necessary, but there was no reason to take the change back out, so now it's double fixed. I love my 92. Hands down my favorite gun. The only thing I've ever shot that I think I like about as we'll is a CZ75B.
  14. Saw a guy at GGC shooting his AR from a prone position. He leaned his baseball cap up against the ejection port. It worked pretty well.   You could try something like this for an AR: http://www.opticsplanet.com/doublestar-brass-deflector-to-catch-empty-shell-casings-ar774.html Zippered bottom so you don't have to remove it from the AR to empty it.
  15.   I'd probably find some gasoline to throw on 'em.
  16. It seems pretty simple to me. If the parking lot was legally off-limits by state law before, it's no longer that way for HCP holders once the law goes into effect. Federal properties excluded.   Being legal <> being OK   One can still be fired if there is a policy against it, but there won't be any legal charges for it. It remains to be seen if students can be expelled or not, but like employees, won't face criminal charges (assuming all other legal requirements are met).
  17.   He just has to be removed the gene pool to qualify. Depending on shot placement, he may still be in the running.
  18. Right now you don't need the stickers. You could probably sell one for 400 at some of these gun shows.
  19. BLOODINTHESTREETSOMGWTFBBQ!!!!!!!!!!!1!!               This post brought to you by Gail Kerr and Nancy Amons
  20. You're looking for TCA 39-17-1308   It lists the exceptions.
  21. Who do you think stuck those grips on it? ;)
  22. Endless slave labor. Treadmills + zombies + generator = free electricity.
  23. Here's what F-Troop has to say about it:   http://www.atf.gov/regulations-rulings/rulings/atf-rulings/atf-ruling-2010-6.pdf
