  1. Double-checks to make sure all the TGO swag is 'Made in China using child labor'
  2. Is the reason we can't have nice things around here.
  3. Oh no. I wear mine all the time. The sight of it strikes fear into the cowardly hearts of criminals.
  4.   It can be yours for just $34.99. http://www.policestore.com/duty-gear-apparel/safety-warning-equipment/identification-banners/brownells-le-qd-360-id-identification-banners-prod42039.aspx
  5.   No, the sash conceals the firearm. This way it works whether you're wearing a shirt or not.
  6. Badges are for sissies. I always wear my sash.
  7. The Apple store in Green Hills Mall may be able to help.
  8. I stand corrected by what OS said.   But I stand by thinking this is more of setting up 19 straw purchases more than it is engaging in the business.
  9. I have a high level of confidence he's representing himself.
  10. It's legal IF the company he's buying from sends the rifles to the receiving FFL as transfers for each buyer (like our recent TGO group-buy of CMT lowers). Each buyer would go to the FFL and do a transfer for their portion of the crate. But I have a hard time imagining someone selling by the crate being remotely interested in basically single-shipping 20 rifles and still offering the crate-level discount price.
  11. Based on the OP, I'm guessing not. I doubt there'd be much difficulty in drumming up interest in free give-away Mosins.     One, two, a crate, a truckload...the rules don't change based on volume. A non-licensee may not purchase a firearm with the intent of reselling (engaging in the business), or on behalf of another person (straw purchase).   However, if a non-licensee buys a firearm with the intent of keeping it, but decides it's just not for them (or for a multitude of other reasons) and decides to sell it, that's OK. As Dolomite pointed out, it's also OK to buy as a gift for another person. That equally applies to a crate load of them. A person could buy a crate and give them away, or store them up ready to distribute them to friends and neighbors when the zombies arise. A person could also purchase a crate with the intent of keeping them, but upon arrival and inspection decide that they only want to keep X number of them (for lots of reasons, not least of which is gregintenn's nagging wife :) ) and sell the rest. The key is in the intent of the person at the time of purchase, which would normally be very difficult to determine and prove*. One crate might or might not trigger their spidey-senses but if a person moves 3, 4, 5, 10 crates, they're probably going to be looking at that person being engaged in the business of buying and selling.   This instance sounds like setting up a bunch of straw purchases. He's trying to line up committed buyers before making the purchase. He'd have all of the Mosins transferred on 4473s using his name, then sell them on to the others in that group buy at-cost.       *Having a thread on a public web-forum asking "who wants to go in on a crate of Mosins?" makes determining intent real easy for the BATFE.
  12. Yeah....I know. I was just being a pedant.  :D
  13.   I think you missed the joke.
  14.   No, they can't leave that off. The McChicken has plenty of asshole ground up in it along with chicken lips and toenails.
  15. Every good story starts with "I was eating my McDonald's..."
  16. OS is right. There could possibly be IL state laws prohibiting bringing one in without it going through an FFL (I can barely keep TN laws straight and know only enough about IL to know that I don't want to deal with them), but the Fed says loaning across state lines is A-OK.
  17.   The Dutch used Guilders, not Marks, before switching to the Euro.       Australia switched to polymer bills in 1996. It lasts longer in circulation than paper. The UK is starting the switch too with their 5 pound note.
  18. Send it to an FFL near him. There's no law that says you have to send it from an FFL in TN, but the FFL in IL may require it as their own policy, so check with the FFL you're sending to and ask them if they'll receive a transfer directly from you or if they want it to come from another FFL.
  19. You're probably not going to find a quiet inverter generator with 3.5-4Kw for $600. For camping, an inverter is a must. You then have to decide on a louder genset, less power, or paying more money. Watch Craigslist (I use www.searchtempest.com to search that morass) regularly if you want the quiet inverter type in your price range. I've seen Honda EU2000 (2Kw) models for as low as $550-$600, but they don't come up at that price often and they go fast. You could get lucky and have a Honda EU3500 (3.5Kw) come up for a sweet price, but it will stretch you up in price. I've seen them on occasion for around $1000-$1200. I got a fantastic deal on a Honda EU6500 (6.5Kw) on Craigslist about 3 years ago.   I don't have experience with the Champion inverters, but I can say from personal experience that Generac inverters are MUCH louder than Honda inverters of the same Kw rating. From all accounts I've read, the Yamaha models are comparable to the Hondas.   If you're into DIY, there are multiple ways to modify gensets to make them quieter. Some people add rubber washers to every point where the motor attaches to the frame. Some add a car muffler (got to watch your back pressures on that). Some build semi-enclosures, or add panels to the sides (be careful to vent properly).
  20.   Apparently, we'll watch anything. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2527202/Move-Sister-Wives-Utah-polygamist-FIVE-wives-24-children-TLC-reality-series.html
  21. I'd say Jake Zweig was a douche-nozzle on Top Shot, but that would insult douche-nozzles everywhere. I have no desire to watch anything with him on it ever again.
