URGENT - Permit-less Car Carry in the Senate Tomorrow
monkeylizard replied to wk05's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Yeah...I do. Most of my last post was rhetorical. I don't have kids and I'm not a big fan of the beach, but I'm not so self-centered that I can't see that the law impacts other people besides me. Apparently you don't suffer from my affliction. Thanks for proving my point. The USPS parking lot allowance was made by a federal judge in Colorado last summer. It applies only to Colorado for now. If it gets appealed to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and if they uphold it, then it would apply to the region governed by the 10 circuit: Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, and Oklahoma. It's now case law that a judge in another state will consider, but it's far from a settled issue. IANAL, but that's how I understand the federal court system to work. The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs passed a measure this February to change the statute to exclude parking lots, but AFAIK, it hasn't gone beyond that yet. Maybe Congress will resolve it before we get case law from the TN District Court or the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.. -
URGENT - Permit-less Car Carry in the Senate Tomorrow

1) You must not be married. I go in all sorts of posted places because a happy wife is a happy life. You must also never travel by airplane. You must never attend concerts, conventions, or sporting events in several of Tennessee's most popular arenas (U.T., Vanderbilt, Bridgestone Arena, LP Field, etc.) You also must live in a place with sensible guns-in-parks laws unlike some of us. I suppose that when you visit any of our wonderful National Parks that you never enter any of the Visitors' Centers. I also suppose you don't have young kids or grandkids so you never have to go see a school play or meet with a teacher. Another sign that you don't have kids is that you must never visit theme parks like Disney World or Sea World. You never take your kids to the beach or if you do, you never get in the water with them. 2) If you have it in your car in the Post Office parking lot, you're already breaking the federal law, just as if you carried it in with you, so you might as well keep it on you. The entire P.O. property is off limits. -

My argument is that rewritten this way it's ridiculous.... Why is the 2nd any different than the 1st? Note: The quoted text has been altered. -

When you're accused of playing dirtier pool than Jimmy Naifeh, you have some serious stink on you. -

Don't stop there. Any store that sells guns is stupid. They could get burglarized or robbed and those guns could be used in a crime. -

Yeah....don't remind me..... Still, we did get some good victories this year and none as horribly worded as 39-17-1313 from last year. -

Next we need to get rid of 39-17-1311 (d ) and stop this stupid "Park A is off limits but Park B is OK" garbage. -

I think it says something about our current state of government when my first thought was "Homeland could do some serious crowd control with that." -
Yes, you can put up cameras. No, there's nothing that will stop them from destroying them if found. Yes you can get creative. Hide one really really well and point it towards one that's more obvious, for example.

Toss out those 1/2" -3/4" screws that come for the mounting plates and put in 3" deck screws (pre drill to prevent splintering). The frame is the weak point, especially with your steel door. Get the longest strike plate that you can fit in there. That will spread the force of blows to the door across a wider area on the frame reducing the likelihood of the wood splintering.

I doubt it. she understands why Rick had to do that and Tyrese now knows and has forgiven her. There's no reason not to bring her back into the group. Besides, Darryl's probably jonesin' for some booty.

I use 7 at home and work. I like it better than XP. I'm not a fan of the Metro interface on 8.x, but admittedly I've only had a cursory go at it. I just need something that will load games and a browser for 99% of my home use.

What is it. Six long slow months till season 5???

That would mean Lori would be back. -
This x a bazillion. I've seen some wreck photos where the unbelted front seat passenger was folded in half and shoved behind the driver's seat in the space that would normally be occupied by a rear seat passenger's feet and shins. We don't need to mention the steering wheel decapitations. :surrender: Buckle up.

+1 to REI. They have sandbags and pillows to stuff into them in the store to find the pack that's made for you. Someone there will help you find the right sizes, make necessary adjustments, and help you find the right one. The employees are all outdoors enthusiasts who know their stuff.
