  1.   That's wronger than a wrong thing that is mistaken.
  2.   They do that because their pricing computers know that anything that ends in an 8 is a regular priced item. Sale items will end in a different number, and clearance items will end in yet a different number.
  3. I've never noticed a posting at the one in Donelson.
  4. What maroonandwhite said.
  5. Mine works pretty well when stationary. Not so much while moving around. You're welcome to swing by and borrow mine if you want to try before you buy.
  6. CTD is dead to me. I was tempted for a few minutes by that great price on the M92, but then I remembered their $1.00/rd .223 and $129 USGI AR mags.
  7. I sort of lump all of the Batman movies after Keaton and before Bale together into "flop-land"
  8.   As was pointed out above, because it would flop.   There's a lot of competition for eyeballs so the publishers leverage familiarity with existing succesful franchises instead of inventing new ones. If they made "Hammer Babe: Goddess of Thunder" nobody would buy it. By using the Thor franchise, they've created a media and social-media sensation. For example: we're talking about a sex-changing norse god in a comic book on a forum for gun owners in a specific US state.   It's the same reason we have 14 differnt NCIS flavors. The first one worked, so they just copy-paste and off we go.
  9.   And Elektra.   DC has had a bad run too with Green Lantern, Catwoman, and Jonah Hex.
  10. Or a judge or jury.
  11. I don't know. Chris Hemsworth has some pretty hair. They could probably do something with that in post-production.
  12. Metro Nashville libraries have both gunbuster and knifebuster stickers. Both are small and on clear backgrounds making them hard to see when entering, but plain as day when existing and they're backlit by the sun.
  13. From the Shotgun page:     What difference does plastic vs. metal make in either lethality or ilegal gun violence?   And WTH did they do to the barrel of that AR-15?
  14.   They didn't. Someone else said it and they just printed it.   What they fail to realize is that the single-action is the one you have to worrry about. That's the one for going all Clint Eastwood and just slapping the hammer for rapid fire shots, you know, as gang-bangers are known to do.
  15. Wow. I had no idea that pistols and revolvers were the 2 most dangerous kinds of handguns and that rifles and shotguns were the most dangerous long guns.   I thought most crimes were commited with muskets and blunderbusses. I'm glad I checked out that informative article.           In other news, the 2 most dangerous knives are 1) those with blades under 4" and 2) those with blades at or beyond 4". It's astonishing stuff!
  16. Handguns can't be mailed through the USPS.   You can use UPS or FedEx, but both have their own quirky rules about firearms which I don't remember.   If you're willing to drive from Rogersville to Sevierville to make this sale happen, you may as well just go to Marshall, NC instead. It's about the same distance. There's an FFL there called Randy's Guns ((855) 466-7199) and one called Sweetwater Guns & Ammo ((828) 649-0155). I think those are closest NC FFL to you. If you just meet up at one of those and they can do the transfer and be done with it. Seems like it would save a whole lot of hassle. Just call them to see what their hours and transfer fees are and if they'll accept an in-person trade like that. Some will, some won't.   [shameless TGO plug] Or you could become a benefactor here on TGO, post for sale items in the trading post, and deal with in-state residents of the highest caliber. :D [/shameless TGO plug]
  17.   FIFY!
  18. No. It's not OK. You have to have the transfer of a handgun done in the buyer's state of residency. You would have to travel to NC and meet him at an FFL there or ship it to an FFL there. You can not legally do the transfer in Tennessee.     You could transfer a long gun at a TN FFL to a non-TN resident, but not a handgun.

  20. Nashville is the home of hot chicken. Prince's is the gold standard, but it's a dump in a crappy part of town. Hattie B's and 400 degrees are where you go if you're willing to give up a little dive authenticity for a better health score.
  21. Prince's "regular" is about all I can comfortably handle. After that, it's just saw dust.
  22. .50 BMG vs cave troll FTW!
  23.   I felt my arteries harden a little when I read that.
  24.   That's incorrect. There's no duty to retreat in TN as long as you have a legal right to be wherever you are. The smart person will retreat if it's reasonable to do so. Not because they have to, but because avoiding an SD shooting is a whole lot cheaper and less life altering than engaging in one.   In this case, I agree with the others that the threat wasn't imminent.
  25. Plus, at our FF's time, juries were made of white male landowners. Good luck with a fair trial if you're being accused by a white landowning male if you are not all, or any, of those three things.
