  1. Take a look through the Non-Firearms classifieds. We TGO'ers will buy and sell just about anything as long as it's legal. There was a one a few years ago selling a sex swing (unused). Probably the most unusual item I've seen in the Trading Post. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/forum/42-non-firearm-classifieds/   I also see knives in both Gear and Non-Firearms, but as they're not really a firearms related item, I'd personally put them in Non-Firearms.
  2. Either GnL or Goodlettsville Gun Shop.
  3. I have a nephew under 3. He's in Florida. I've thought about getting it for him just in case since his dad's (my brother) side of the family is all here. Does anyone know if it's available for out-of-state residents? I didn't see anything on the form stating one way or another.   I have until he's 5 years minus one day to get him a Florida lifetime. It's 2x the price, but covers freshwater, saltwater, most hunting, and lobster. Still seems like a good gift even if he doesn't understand what it is right now.     ETA: No luck. TN Lifetime is resident only. I may get him the FL one.
  4. I've never heard of F&K. After some Google Fu, I'm not hopeful for the range. If their range prices are like their firearms prices, I'll keep driving an hour to Gallatin.
  5.   I thought I was the only one. :D
  6. Plus they want an arm and a leg...a kidney too if you have a stray high shot.
  7. That would be AWESOME unless their prices are crazy stupid high.
  8. About 30 acres. Let's call it three times as deep as it is wide. We'll be staying on the front 1/2 to 2/3 of the area. It goes up hill, then drops off for the back 1/3 the property. Good signs of deer in the back area too, but I'd rather not have to pack one out from back there unless it runs off after a hit. There's another guy that hunts it sometimes, but he's setup in a ladder stand on one of the long property lines at the crest of the hill. We can stay towards the other side and have plenty of depth to work with and not get in each other's way.   Reflectors, marking tape, spray paint, or anything else will be fine. My cousin wouldn't care if I put a solar powered beacon light back there, but I doubt it would be good for deer hunting. :) There's nobody on that land but the one other hunter and my great uncle's grandkids. He lives on an equal sized parcel next door and they ride their dirt bikes back there. Here's hoping they don't decide to ride on hunting days.
  9. I have a GPS route app on my phone. GaiaGPS
  10. KahrMan, yep. safety class is all done.   My uncle has a pickup, so bloody deer in my wife's car won't be a problem. I've only ever seen him driving something else, so I didn't know he had a truck.   We scouted the land a couple of weeks ago. We found lots of rubs on the trees and some poop, so we know they're in there. We'll be going back in the next week or so to sit for a while and pick out our 1st spot and really pay attention to the route in so we can make it back to it in the dark/early morning. I may flag some trees so we can find our way. Is that a bad idea?
  11. I wish someone had bought one for me when I was under 3 years old.
  12. Polio was just an excuse to cover the injuries sustained in that fight.
  13. I can see a Bredesen vs Haslam race to take Lamar's seat. Bredesen was popular enough that he could take that seat blue. If anyone could do it, it's him and the Dems know it. Truth be told, I'd be tempted to vote Bredesen over Haslam if it wasn't for the tight Senate seat count, and maybe in spite of that.
  14.   Old enough to know how to use Google, but not old enough to have actually cast a vote against FDR. I'll leave that honor to Oh Shoot.  :D
  15.   FDR. He failed on the 1920 James Cox/FDR ticket to the Warren Harding/ Calvin Coolidge ticket, then won POTUS in 1932. I'm pretty sure he's the only one to ever do it. Prior to 1856, the Veep wasn't part of the POTUS ticket, so we can't really compare prior to that.
  16. I watched that video 3 times and still haven't seen any guys in it.
  17.   Because their mission is "To serve, secure, and protect the people of Tennessee." That includes promoting firearm safety. Having a presence at gun shows and passing out low-cost safety gear and pamphlets on safe-handling/shooting is in-line with that mission.     This x 1,000
  18.   KC hasn't been to a playoff game since '85, much less the World Series.
  19. Yep. IF (and that's a big IF) the insurance company is able to get their money back from any identified cow owner, they get to keep the first stuff in the door. If they collect ALL of it back, she'll get her deductible refunded. Sometimes that happens years later with the insuree completely unaware that the insurance company has been collecting a few dollars at a time from the at-fault party.
  20. Wait, what? There's another gun site?
  21.   You're right as usual. :)   I was reading the statute backwards as reasons that do not allow an HCP rather than reasons that allow an HCP. Oops.
  22. I toally missed the rehab part that 2.ooohhh pinged on. That could certainly change things out to 2019.
