  1. $49 shotguns and $99 CZ clones....the ultimate self-imposed DoS attack.
  2. F5         F5         F5...     I think we broke their website....
  3. Prepper Gun Shop BF has started.   Best deal I've seen on a mini draco. $479.99 shipped. Order before 10am and they'll put in 5 extra mags (cheap knock-off polymer ones, I'm sure). Their ad said that, but it's not on their site any longer. I called and they confirmed. 6a-10a central will get 5 free mags in addition to the 1 steel mag it normally comes with. There is now 1 less in their inventory than when they started. :) https://www.preppergunshop.com/index.php/cent-mini-draco-pistol-7-62x39-1-30rd-mag.html     ETA: 17 minutes until the feverish clicking of F5 on Bud's......Good luck to us all!
  4. Heat pump and cold weather will change things. As you're seeing, letting the temp drop during that day will save you money during that time, but when it has to raise it back up to your comfortable setting, it kicks on the expensive AUX heat. 2-edged sword with those things.
  5. These ARE the droids you're looking for. Stormtrooper FTW.
  6. I gave up on the Nest's motion sensor learning when we're home and when we're not. I got the Skylark app to supplement it. It uses geo-fencing to determine when you are home and away. then it tells the Nest to go to Home or Away mode. We don't adjust the temp while we're home (like X during the evening, Y overnight, then back to X in the morning) so the only thing I want the Nest to know is home and away.
  7. The standard AIM BCG has a cast gas key. Their v2 models have a milled gas key. In case that matters to anyone.
  8. From the comments above, it sounds like it's a good owner with lousy employees and sometimes good prices. With shops like GnL around here with good owners AND good employees AND good prices, I won't be bothered with anything less.
  9.   Yeah. That was cool. I watch TTD to see the behind the scenes and on-set stuff and skip the rest.
  10. That's funny, right there. I'm half-tempted to drive up there to see it for myself.
  11. Darryl ripping off the zombie head by the eye sockets was the best SFX they've had all season. That was great!
  12. It sounds to me like Shooters inherited all of their charm from Gun City. I was in the West shop once. In addition to high prices, I witnessed the following:   A woman had brought in a shotgun and a revolver (I wasn't close enough to see any details) that she had inherited or something. They basically told her they were worthless and offered to take them off her hands at no charge. She was (thankfully) savvy enough to walk out the door with her items in hand, but clearly knew nothing about what she had. After she left the 2 clerks were laughing at her and calling her stupid, etc. I wish I had approached her in the parking lot (I'd never do that in someone's store) and asked what she had. I still kick myself for not finding out if I could have helped her out and possibly scored a nice find at the same time.   I won't go back. Ever.   I like the folks at Nashville Sporting Arms. Their prices aren't the greatest, but they're not condescending jerks and try to have a good selection of things in stock.
  13.   Yep, and you see where messing with his divine design got them. Straight to the hangman's noose at Nuremberg. Proof that the 9mm ain't ####. If they'd kept the mighty .45 against our own 1911 thunder hammers, the two mighty forces colliding would likely have caused an extinction event like the one that that killed off the dinosaurs. Geologists 100,000 years from now would be referring to the "JMB layer" in the sedimentary time line.
  14.   They lost, remember? Just imagine how it would have turned out if JMB had been a German and he gifted them with the .45 of the gods!             [/sarcasm]
  15.   It's what K191145 was talking about in post #13 and what jtmaze said.   Aux is when the heat pump runs and the heat strips/coils kick on to supplement it because it's too cold outside for the heat pump to draw any/enough heat from the outside air. Emergency is for the heat strips/coils by themselves. The heat pump compressor itself will not be running. The fan blower will be running in either mode to move the air.   Aux will kick on if it needs supplemental heat. Emergency will kick on to keep you from freezing to death until the repairman arrives if the heat pump craps out or freezes over. Both use the electricity-hungry heat strips/coils.
  16. You may get yours faster. I ordered soon after the deal went up, so I was in the pool of orders when they got slammed.
  17. What MacGyver said. Picture the coil burners on an older stove top. Your heat pump has something like those inside it to make heat when the outside air doesn't have enough. It's not hard to see how that will run your electric bill up higher than Lindsey Lohan on Spring Break in Jamaica.
  18. Order placed morning of 11/7. Delivered today. 1 day short of 2 weeks. That's OK. It was a sweet deal. I saw the same stuff at SGAmmo this week advertised as a "special" for about $15 more and no ammo can.
  19. I know hunting migratory game birds requires the shotgun to only be able to hold 3 shells or less. Is there any such capacity limit for centerfire for deer? I didn't find one in the TWRA hunting guide.
  20.   That's the integrated slant muzzle brake.
  21. I was wondering the same thing. It sure does have more than a passing resemblance to the wallet holsters. I suppose since it's all integrated then it's OK?         On the up side, it doesn't have GRIPZONE embossed on it.
  22.   Yeah, I know parts are regentrified and "nice", but I can't help but think that the projects are just a couple of blocks away whenever I'm there, especially along and south of Shelby St.
  23. Got a notice last night with my FedEx tracking number. As of now, FedEx still shows it as "label created". <snip> Given the great price and since I'm not in a hurry, I'm not going to complain.   I'd buy from them again if the price is right, but not if it's something that I need in a hurry.
