  1. I counted nine loose rounds in the photo. I assume there's one chambered too for an even 10 rounds. If so, consider it SPF.
  2. Does that Hipoint include the ammo, or was that just for the photo? I'm not going to be one of those guys that nitpicks you over everything. I don't care if it doesn't have the lock or cleaning brush because that ammo adds real value.                 Do you still have the manual?
  3. What peejman said.   JT Hannah's is probably the best of them in PF.     I stand behind Hungry Bear BBQ in Gatlinburg. Good stuff. Not fancy, just 'cue on a bun in a styrofoam box, but darn tasty.
  4. I generally find both towns to be a wasteland when trying to find good food. J.T. Hannah's in PF is not bad. Nothing special, but the food is generally good. Hungry Bear BBQ in G'burg is good.   Cherokee Grill and Park Grill (both near light 10 in G'burg) look like the nicest places in town, but I haven't tried either yet.   Pretty much everything else I've tried tastes like "how much of this cheap crap can we sell to the throngs of tourists?"
  5.   You should be thinking "Merry Christmas" now.....   :D
  6. LOL! There's a Rohm RG-14 in there! It's up to $55 + $25 S&H + FFL Transfer + BG check if applicable to the buyer. Dude could be out north of $100 for what 's described as "Condition is about 30%, there is a fair amount of rust." If I know Rohm, the rust is worth more than the gun. :)
  7.   Water's fine. It's when you mix it with Scotch that it becomes dangerous.
  8. Hozzie, can I steal use your email text?
  9. Being discussed here: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/85742-got-tannerite-dont-mix-it/
  10.   There you go talking all crazy again. The next thing we know you'll be saying they should repeal some of the existing laws.
  11. If you diligently watch Craigslist (I use SearchTempest.com for it) you can usually find Hondas for not a lot of dough, but you have to wait for the right deal. I scored my EU6500is for just a few bucks over the new price of an EU2000i. Run time on it was only 8 hours when I got it. It's Craigslist, so some fall through. I drove up to Scottsboro, KY in the snow a couple years ago to get an Eu2000i for $500 but dude never showed. Sometimes it's that way.
  12. Yep. and it's 530 miles by Google Maps from Atlanta to Richmond, so yeah, they went about 500 miles from Georgia to Richmond.   The only thing game-changing about it is that they're back on the road again. Kirkman said in the Talking Dead that they'll be getting desperate as things like food and clean water run out. That's good.   Season 1: on the road = awesome Season 2: wandering around the woods for 3 weeks followed by sitting on the farm = suck Season 3: Sitting in a prison in a spitting contest with a town = suck Season 4: Getting sick in the prison followed by burning it down and a walk to another "shelter" at Terminus = suck followed by not bad Season 5 so far: Terminus....hiding in a church near Terminus....a nearly zombie-free Atlanta = suck   The only really good episodes in season 2-5 have been when they're on the move. Season 1 was almost all on the move which made it great. It looks like they're on the move for much of the second half of this season, so I'm holding out hope.
  13. I'd be surprised to know that I wasn't being videotaped. That includes an LGS. Most have security video aimed at the door and the register if not the whole sales floor.
  14. They're videotaping you from the moment you enter their parking lot until the moment you leave. The real questions are how long do they keep their surveillance video and do they keep it longer from the sporting goods register?
  15.   Me too. After I posted that clip I walked down the hall and couldn't stop laughing. My wife thinks I'm a crazy person.
  16.   That's fantastic!   For those unfamiliar, this is a number 6. Language is NSFW.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM-lxsxeXBI
  17. Come on now. You know you need a $200 used HiPoint 9 with a cracked grip.
  18. That reads like a veritable "Who's who" of a police buy-back day.
  19.   Quoting myself to add:   Ukraine got humped and dumped like a cheap whore. They counted on Russia to stay out of their borders and counted on the US and the UK to enforce that. What they failed to realize is that Ukraine really isn't that important to the US or the UK and certainly wouldn't go to open war with Russia over them. They failed to see that Russia wouldn't stay in the disarray that followed the break-up of the USSR and would come looking to reassert their dominance in the future. They seemingly also forgot that Russia is a permanent member of the UN security council and would veto any resolution against themselves.   Getting rid of their nukes was still likely the right thing to do, but they should have negotiated a much stronger treaty with the US. I'm glad they didn't. I don't think we need to be getting involved in their war. We wouldn't win that and won't win the economic one Obama is trying to wage because we don't have leverage on the Russian economy. Europe does, but they're not going to hurt themselves to help Ukraine. Ukraine has to solve this by themselves. They sat there for almost 14 years with that Russian shadow growing and failed to build a strong enough conventional military deterrent or to diversify their economy enough that they could hurt Russia more than themselves by shutting down oil and gas pipelines.   They had to know that at some point Russia would make a play on Crimea, if not their eastern flank. Historical "ownership" of Crimea as part of Russia is just a load of crap. Russia wasn't going to continue to let its warm water port and home to it's large southern naval fleet be sitting in a foreign country whose eyes were on the west.
  20.   That's why I DVR it and FFwd through the commercials. I can start watching the episode about 15-20 minutes after it starts and I end up finishing pretty close to real-time.
  21.   Not exactly. You're thinking of the Budapest Memorandum which says we (plus Russia and the UK) would provide "security assurances" in exchange for nuclear non-proliferation. "Security assurances" in geo-political treaties is not the same thing as "direct military action" as we have with NATO signatories. It can mean sanctions against an aggressor, or hosting peace talks, or supplying humanitarian aid, etc.   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest_Memorandum_on_Security_Assurances
  22. If you didn't notice Metalhead's signature line, he's at Guns & Leather. 615.643.4865. Good shop, good prices, and good people.
  23.   I don't disagree that communism is anti American. But who gets to decide what "communist" is? Certainly a card-carrying member of the American Communist Party who wear's Che shirts is. But what about a union worker? Is he a "communist"? What about someone who thinks universal healthcare is a good idea? Is she a "communist"?       As far as ole Joe only being tied to communism, you might want to read up a bit about his "Lavender Scare" witch hunt on homosexuals. It was in many ways more effective at eliminating his dissenters than his "Red Scare" communist witch hunt. He didn't have to prove anything. Just the stink of an investigation into being red or gay at that time was enough to sideline nearly any career. I suppose crucifying gays was as close as he could get to the moral high ground considering his heavy dependence on alcohol. People in glass houses and all that.
  24. Guns and Leather. They're also a TGO Vendor. Locations in Hendersonville and Greenbrier.   I have also used Goodlettsville Gun Shop and would do so again.
