  1. 18) $5 Saturday and Sunday at the library garage. Best parking deal in town.
  2. Rick Santorum could put insomniacs to sleep.
  3. Not sure. When I went by it was peak hours at the convention, so not a lot of foot traffic on Broadway yet.
  4. For anyone interested, pretty much everything on Broadway was posted, except Robert's Western World.
  5. Some of them never left the U.S so they won't have import marks. AIUI, those are quite collectible. I don't know if the reimported ones are worth more or less than a regular Ruskie one.
  6. It was his mother in the episode where he was briefly married. In the 1st season he was just Rosco Coltrane. They added the P. in season 2.
  7.   Fixed it for ya!
  8. That Black Rain RV is what they need in TWD, not that POS Dale-abago II.
  9. Purvis.   And while we're on it, Rosco in this case has no "e" on the end.
  10.   I was going to post a picture of a Russian stripper, but there's no way I want that in my search history.
  11. What makes you think the NRA gives a crap about TN carry laws?
  12.   Yeah, I realized my mistake right after posting it. I have corrected my post above.   I knew long guns from an out of state dealer were OK if bought in person, but for some reason I thought that only applied to firearms sold by the out of state FFL, not a private sale going through an FFL in the seller's state. I don't know why I thought that.
  13. Yep.     https://www.atf.gov/content/firearms-frequently-asked-questions-unlicensed-persons   Q: From whom may an unlicensed person acquire a firearm under the GCA? A person may only acquire a firearm within the person’s own State, except that he or she may purchase or otherwise acquire a rifle or shotgun, in person, at a licensee’s premises in any State, provided the sale complies with State laws applicable in the State of sale and the State where the purchaser resides. A person may borrow or rent a firearm in any State for temporary use for lawful sporting purposes. [18 U.S.C. 922(a)(3) and (5), 922(B (3), 27 CFR 478.29 and 478.30]
  14.   That's correct. OS pointed out above that 1313 allows any permit holder to have one in the car in all lots.
  15. News 2 showed Tootsie's door last night. They have a piece of paper that says in big bold print "Welcome NRA Attendees" right next to two gun busters.   Screw them.
  16. I'm pretty sure you're correct on the first, but not on the second. I don't think there's a law preventing a school employee from leaving one in the car. I don't see anything in 1309 referencing employment. It's likely against employment rules of every school district, but not against the law. Someone will be along soon to tell me I'm wrong.  :D
  17. Yes, but I'm pretty sure he thought that it would be a poison pill that the Senate couldn't swallow. They called his bluff and passed it anyway. I wonder if maybe he thought that might happen, but also thought the House would pass it too and that it would increase the chance of a veto from the Guv. I doubt he foresaw what we ended up with.     Am I correct in thinking that they don't need to actually pass a law to allow carry at the state house? All they'd need to do is take down the no-carry signage, right?
  18.   This.   It did not change recently. It has been on Metro's books since forever. Maybe they don't actually have any or many meter maids working Saturdays, or maybe you park in an area they don't bother to check on Saturdays.
  19. No, they aren't.   http://www.nashville.gov/Public-Works/Getting-Around-Nashville/Parking/Parking-Meters.aspx         The only exception is that if you have a handicap plate/placard. Then all metered spaces are free 24x7, as are any lots or garages owned or operated by any government agency, including the MCC and Library garages. Privately owned garages are their own animal and can charge anyone for parking.
  20. Yes, kids are allowed, encouraged even. You'll find lots of them at the air rifle range.
  21.   This, but it's $25 each way, not $20 as Dustbuster said. Plus $1/per person after the first passenger, plus tip. Easily $60 R/T plus parking at the airport.   The main library garage or LP field will likely be the cheapest options on Friday at $10 all day. Library is closer, but LP includes a free shuttle right to the MCC so no walking in the rain on Friday morning. If you plan to stick around for the Friday night concert, that puts you even closer to the library when you leave since the stage is on Broadway.   Saturday and Sunday, the library garage will be $5 all day. Best deal in town. Meters are free after 6pm Mon-Sat, and all day Sunday, so if you go Sunday and spot an open metered spot, take it.   If you have to do this on a shoestring budget, park for free at the Bicentennial Mall State Park lot off the north end of the Farmer's Market (SE corner of Rosa Parks and Jefferson). The lot is NOT connected to the farmers market lot. If you're in the lot at the FM, you're in the wrong lot and they'll tow. Walk to the south end of Bicentennial Mall and pick up the free Music City Circuit bus at the roundabout at 6th Ave/Harrison. The green route will take you to the MCC. The blue route will get you about a block away to the Country Music Hall of Fame. It runs from 6:30a-11p on weekdays and 11a-11p on weekends. http://www.nashvillemta.org/PDF/LGMusicCityCircuitBusStopSign3-17-15.pdf
  22.   It's back to the Senate for now. They have to decide if they want to pass it w/o the Yarbro* amendment and send it on to the Guv, or if they'll kick it to a conference committee where the Senate and House will have to work out a compromise acceptable to both houses. If they can work it out, then it goes to the Guv. If not, it dies in the conference committee.     *maybe he is smarter than I thought.
  23.   That's not the parks bill. I didn't even know we had a "can't get fired for it in the parking lot" bill on the calendar. That's a great bonus! It's like digging in the bottom of a bowl full of Hershey's miniatures and finding the last Mr. Goodbar hidden below a bunch of Special Darks. :)
  24.   Haslam himself said it last night in a press interview following one of his presentations on the free tuition program. They asked him about the guns in parks bills and how likely a veto would be (of course he dodged the question), then asked about the NRA convention and if he would be speaking there.
