  1. Blue people = military (current or former) Gold badge = police (current or former) ID card = HCP holder NRA logo = NRA member   They're set by the way you answer the Yes/No questions at the bottom of your user profile.   Directly below the avatar may be a ribbon with the TGO logo and "Benefactor" or "Lifetime Benefactor". If you pay an annual membership fee, you get the Benefactor tag. That gives you access to a super-secret board for benfactors only and the ability to start new threads in the Trading Post boards. Lifetime Benefactors have made a larger one-time payment and no longer need to pay yearly to maintain that access. You may purchase either through the TGO Store tab at the top of the forums.
  2.   I was too busy checking it out that I forgot to take pics. Here's a review from TTAG that has some good photos, including a good one of the bolt compared to a standard AR-15 bolt. Note that the review mentions the lousy trigger. CMMG took note and now offers it with a Geiselle trigger as an option.   http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/12/foghorn/gun-review-cmmg-mk47-mutant-ar-15-7-62x39/
  3.   In a manner of speaking, yes. We're one of the few states that allows no carry at all w/o a permit, yet the permit allows both OC or CC. Many more states allow OC w/o a permit. You'd need a permit to CC in those states, thus the proliferation of the term "CCP"
  4. This story/video has made Drudge. Currently at the bottom of the right-hand column.
  5. I'm still not convinced that it wasn't a grandstanding stunt he meant for killing the bill, only to be stunned when it was accepted, and now coming around to it possibly being the nail in the coffin after all. He's going to come off looking brilliant, but I think he's just lucky.
  6.   but there were at least 4, maybe 5 dozen people at Riverfront Park yesterday for the MDA rally, so that kind of cancels out the NRA.
  7.   I was assuming the giveaways were meant for NRA members who didn't get pre-registered. TGoers who planned to go but then couldn't were trying to do their fellow NRA/TGOers a solid and save them the time in the registration line. As it turned out, the registration lines were never more than about 5 minutes long from what I saw. The NRA has this down to a science.
  8. I was impressed with the CMMG Mk47. That bolt is stout ad the parts fit very well. Seemed like a considerably better 7.62 AR than the one a few booths over at Rock River.
  9.   That was Tootsie's. They also had a large "We are NRA Country" banner fronting their rooftop balcony.
  10.   Leave it to News 2. They found a couple with one strapped on the thigh saying they were skipping the concert at the Bridgestone because they don't allow firearms. Oh....did I mention the pistol was painted up like an American flag (matched the couple's matching shirts) with the Constitution painted on the mag? Just watched it on their 10pm newscast.   Good news was I only saw one person with a CCW badge and not a sash in sight.
  11. +1 to UTG. I was surprised at how much I liked some of their rails, and how light weight they were.   I think I could live in the Benelli booth and be happy. soooo....many....gorgeous......shotguns!
  12. 18) $5 Saturday and Sunday at the library garage. Best parking deal in town.
  13. Rick Santorum could put insomniacs to sleep.
  14. Not sure. When I went by it was peak hours at the convention, so not a lot of foot traffic on Broadway yet.
  15. For anyone interested, pretty much everything on Broadway was posted, except Robert's Western World.
  16. Some of them never left the U.S so they won't have import marks. AIUI, those are quite collectible. I don't know if the reimported ones are worth more or less than a regular Ruskie one.
  17. It was his mother in the episode where he was briefly married. In the 1st season he was just Rosco Coltrane. They added the P. in season 2.
  18. That Black Rain RV is what they need in TWD, not that POS Dale-abago II.
  19. Purvis.   And while we're on it, Rosco in this case has no "e" on the end.
  20.   I was going to post a picture of a Russian stripper, but there's no way I want that in my search history.
  21. What makes you think the NRA gives a crap about TN carry laws?
