  1. Happiness is a good martini, a good meal, a good cigar and a good woman . . . or a bad woman, depending on how much happiness you can stand. -George Burns-
  2. I wonder what would happen if you filled a hot tub up with this stuff, I mean besides porn producers wanting to rent your place on Air BnB.
  3. Wal-Mart is almost always the cheapest, but the inventory is hit and miss.   It's not Smyrna, but when I stopped at the new Royal Range in Bellevue, they were loaded up with just about everything and the prices were quite good on most ammo.
  4. That's a realtor snake. If my wife saw that in our yard, I'd be calling a realtor.
  5. Looking good. +1 to a work surface. I like that idea. Could you work up a bracket to hold a toolbox in place, but the bracket could be removed (or fold away) to clear out the whole surface for a work area if needed?
  6. I'm just givin' ya some crap.  :D
  7. The chart Bud linked to is out of date. You can always get it directly from Glock's site.   https://us.glock.com/products/all   The numbering is just sequential. There's no connection at all between the numbering and the caliber or frame size. It's about when they were released. G17 was the 17th design by Gaston and the first one actually produced outside the test lab. G18 was next (full auto version of a 17) followed by the smaller G19, then he branched out to 10mm and the next number up was 20, so it was the G20. Repeat ad nauseum until you get to where we are today with a Competition-sized .45 ACP (G41), a pocket .380 ACP (G42) and the single-stack small 9mm (G43) and you see that there's no connection.   Look at them long enough and you'll memorize a few of them, but only a die hard fan would know them all.
  8. Did I mention that they have a semi-auto Ma Deuce on a tripod in there? If you're looking for one, they have it. :usa:
  9. They have a floor plan posted by the front door. They'll have a 60 yard range with 10 or 11 lanes rated up to .50, a range with 180 degree firing lines for training, a classroom with the theater seating, a range with shorter lanes (15-20 yds IIRC), an archery range, and a room for force-on-force with simmunitions. That last one has me intrigued for sure. I've never done it and have always thought it would be (1 ) a great way to train and (2 ) just plain fun.
  10. I stopped by yesterday. They're loaded up with lots of ammo, various mags, Magpul tacticool add ons, cleaning kits/supplies, etc. Prices on most stuff was a little higher than on-line, but not by a lot. Nice shop area with plenty of space. Lots of guns too. Firearm prices seemed generally competitve with what I've seen in other LGS.
  11. Don't need an HCP for that. It's legal for anyone (not otherwise prohibited) to carry a loaded firearm in a personal vehicle in Tennessee now.   Besides that, it was never the case that you needed an HCP to have a round chambered in a handgun but could otherwise have a handgun loaded w/o chambered.   I think you may be confusing the long-gun change that came along with the vehicle carry change. Prior to the 2014 change to 39-17-1307 (e ) allowing loaded firearms (handguns, rifles, and shotguns) in vehicles w/o HCP, HCP holders had to have an empty chamber on their long guns in their cars. Now anyone not otherwise prohibited can have a loaded firearm (not just handgun) in their vehicle.
  12. 12:37am is "late as balls"? Are you sure you're a college student?   :D
  13.   Why? If there's no sign (or one simply saying "no illegal weapons", why would it be illegal to carry there? Courthouses are NOT off limits by TCA. That's a common misconception. 39-17-1306 doesn't ban carry in courthouses. It bans weapons from any room where a judicial proceeding is occuring. You can carry in a courtroom if court is not in session and you can't carry in a McDonald's if a judge is there presiding over something in an official judicial capacity. Since there are many rooms in a county courthouse where a judge is NOT running a judicial proceeding, all of those rooms would be OK to carry. Since the building's entrances are currently posted, no carry is allowed under 39-17-1359, but not because it's a courthouse.
  14. Yeah. Urban Dictionary always has some funny ones.

  16. Also read through 39-11-611. It goes hand-in-hand with 39-11-612. Notice the distinction between "force" and "deadly force". There are times when you can use force, but not deadly force.   https://www.lexisnexis.com/hottopics/tncode/   Does anyone know of an example of when 39-11-611 (e )(3 )(A ) or (B ) was used as a defense to a charge of resisting arrest or assualting an officer or similar charge? I find it interesting that's in there. I don't recall reading that before.
  17. AK pistols work too. The mini Draco is roughly 5"-6" shorter over all than a 10.5" barreled AR (YMMV based on buffer tube and muzzle device selection).   Dolomite did a cool build of a mini Draco that he shared on this thread: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/82736-my-edc-mini-draco-final-version/   ISTM that either could be chosen for carrying, but the goofy holsters are just silly. Keep it in a backpack or murse.
  18. It's a pistol. You can carry one open or concealed. You should carry it like this just to be extra awesome. :)
  19. Be sure to see if the seller inlcludes the shipping or not. That could be hefty.
  20. The Q&A and the reviews on the Amazon banana slicer are pretty good too. http://www.amazon.com/Hutzler-571-Banana-Slicer/dp/B0047E0EII/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8
  21. No worries. You recently joined so you haven't yet seen how quickly anyone who mentions a "CCP" gets corrected about how much awesomer we are with our HCP. :D
  22.   I know. It was a joke.
