Walmart Getting Out Of AR and Pistol Accessories

But I guess Trinity has no problem with Wal-Mart selling R-rated movies, violent video games, or pornographic chick-lit paperbacks? -
Is hunting from the deck a problem? I thought I read that hunters had to be 200 yards from an occupied dwelling, but I don't see that on the current redesigned TWRA site.

I'm actually faster shooting with my middle finger, but I have less control because of the changed grip so I don't do it with firearms. When I played paintball and laser tag a lot, I almost exclusively shot with my middle finger because in both games, volume can be just as important as accuracy. It's definitely a two-handed grip to do it though. With practice, I don't see why it won't become just as natural as the index finger.

Actually, it doesn't cost anything to be honest and not try to hide an upcharge for using the most common method of payment.

Discussion Of Possible Gun Legislation, Parks Again
monkeylizard replied to runco's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
LOL. I was just about to post that exact same thought. -
Classic has a video of cleaning out the cosmoline. Apparently mineral spirits works well. I used Simple Green to de-cosmo a Mosin. Worked pretty well. The Yugo SKS was made from 1967-1989 http://www.sksboards.com/smf/index.php?topic=81.0

Because I bought what's supposed to be an un-issued (or pretty dang close to it) one and paid the price accordingly. If I wanted one that looks like it got drug behind a UPS truck or a tank, I'd have bought one of the Norincos coming in now for a lot less. It may not be just the finish on the muzzle device. If it got whacked around bad enough to tear that up, who know how off the barrel may be?
-
Mine arrived yesterday, but I wasn't home (signature required) so I had them hold it at the UPS depot up on Whites Creek Pike. Stopped by today to get it..... Refused to accept. Return to sender. I'll have to call Classic on Monday. That sucks.

Ah, their shipping prices were always high anyway. No big loss to me. Brownell's seems to take all my parts money anyway.

If you carry IWB, the single-stack is MUCH more comfortable. If you carry IWB and tuck your shirt, they're also more concealable than their double-stack counterpart. If you do neither, then yeah, the G26 is good to go.

Regal movie theaters begin searching bags

That's exactly what Holmes did in Aurora, CO -
For $30 for 3 years, it's still one of the best deals going. Use it once and it pays for itself by avoiding TICS and a transfer fee. AIM Surplus usually has some C&R stuff in stock. Mosin revolvers, Tokarevs, Radoms, Mosin 1891/30s, Mosin M44s, various Swiss 7.5 rifles. Every now and then they get something super cool like the pre-63 FN HiPower 9mm or 1903 Springfields.

Carrying to a Sounds game??
monkeylizard replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Drive by before parking and see if they're wanding. That will save you the walk. -
Here's a good step-by-step guide for obtaining a C&R license. http://www.garandgear.com/cnr_ffl_03 The only hassle is that you have to keep a "bound book" logging all C&R eligible purchases and sales (even if you didn't purchase it using your C&R license). That can be an actual book (available thorugh places like Brownell's) or sheets of paper in a 3-ring binder. So if you buy a Mosin from a TGOer, it's an in-state face to face private sale that doesn't have to pass through an FFL. But it's still a C&R eligible item so you have to logg the purchase and any subsequent sale in your book. In theory, the BATFE can come by and check your books, but I don't know if they have ever actually done that outside of investigations where they're pretty sure someone's using the C&R license to run a firerms business.

I think Pete123 thought that C&R eligible firearms could be shipped to anyone directly w/o passing through an FFL. Pete, is that correct? Pete if you don't have a FFL 03 (C&R license) it's super easy to get and makes some purchases more convenient. The days of $100 milsurps by the train car load are gone, but it's still nice to have when you find a good C&R item you want, like these Yugos or the ubiquitous Mosins. C&R BONUS: Midway and Brownell's give C&R licensees dealer pricing. A few others do to. Saved me a few bucks on parts when I built my last AR.

Carrying to a Sounds game??
monkeylizard replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Both the NFL and the MLB ban firearms from their games. I assume the MLB policy also applies to their minor leagues. That's their policy, but that does not mean it's legally enforceable. At the very least, they'd have to be posted in accordance with 39-17-1359 to have a snowball's chance of claiming it to be unlawful to carry with a permit. The same is true of Nissan Stadium. Someone's going to have to be a test case at one of these properties (or a similar one like Ascend Amphitheater) to know for sure. -
I don't know. In the 22 pages of that thread, no new job was ever mentioned. For those that missed it, it's one of the best delivering threads in TGO history. Easily in my personal favorite Top 10. The Jamie v. Strel subthread is fantastic in its own right. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/28505-got-myself-fired/ ETA: For the record, it was a light-up car topper that was thrown, not a training manual. Who here thinks that's even better? I do!

If it's not posted, then you can legally carry. No doubt about it. I don't know if they search/wand or not like they do at the unposted Bridgestone. If they do, then while it's still legal, it's not going to get past the minumum wage "security" guards if the wand hits on it. Real world vs. legal world at work there. If it's posted, then nobody really knows for sure. It would seem that by a plain reading of the new law changes and from the AG's recent opinion on it, that it would be OK to carry. But Nashville's attorney says it's not on the grounds that sitting and observing a performance is not "recreating" as you're not involved in the recreational activity. I don't think that will hold up, but it's going to take a court case to decide it. If/when I go if they're not wanding I'll be carrying because I think the Nashville attorney is full of it.
