Quick question on "printing"
monkeylizard replied to OH UNCLE PAUL's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
It doesn't appear that Virginia honors NY permits. http://handgunlaw.us/states/virginia.pdf If you meant above that you have permits from Utah and Pennsylvania, then you're good to go in Virginia for concealed carry Virginia allows open carry without a permit, so printing shouldn't be an issue. Just be sure to have a valid permit from a state they honor or switch to open carry. http://www.opencarry.org/?page_id=310 -

Sheriff David Clarke Issues 5-Word Challenge to Obama

Reagan had experience as California's governor before his Presidency, plus nearly 20 years of political activism before that. -
To put a little more meat on that bone, if a reasonable person would believe that a crime may have been commited then the officer has legal justification to detain a person. If a reasonable person would believe that a crime has been commited then the officer has legal grounds for arrest. Detention can only last long enough for a reasonable investigation to ascertain probable cause or not. If there's no probable cause, the detention is supposed to end and the person is free to go.

Illinois cop shot and killed - manhunt underway

They've been pretty good. Contacted me throughout the process. No complaints from me so far. A little slow on the turnaround. the rifle arrived back at their place on Tuesday last week, and I had to call today to get a status, which is when I found out the above info. Not a big deal to me. I'm not in a hurry for this. If I have no emailed pics and have to call again in 3 or 4 days, that may start to change, but so far so good. Everyone I've spoken to has been polite and professional. They sound like good people over there.

I spoke with them today. They're getting pics of the rifle out to me before they reship to be sure I'm OK with it. the guy I spoke with said the only damage is that bluing wear on the muzzle device, which may or may not have happened in shipping. He said that muzzle device wear is something they're seeing on some of them out of the crates. Other than that, he said it's beautiful, no other signs of any damage. I'll post back with pics when I get it.

Going rate for 7.62 x 39?
monkeylizard replied to NashvilleStage's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
http://gun-deals.com/list/ammo/7.62x39 $240-$250 delivered. Catch a nice deal at Sportsmans Guide or AIM and maybe find it for $210-$220 delivered? Pretty much any of the Wolf or Tula is fine. Red army is also good to go. I can't tell a difference because I'm not that good of a shot, but I hear the Golden Tiger FMJ boat tail stuff is pretty accurate. -
I was surprised to see they're still flying F-4 and F-5 jets. Neat to see them still in use.

Walmart Getting Out Of AR and Pistol Accessories

Wal-Mart doesn't make anything. Even their house brands are all outsourced to China. If they did anything, it would be contract with an existing maker for a Wal-Mart labeled product. -
Discussion Of Possible Gun Legislation, Parks Again
monkeylizard replied to runco's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I don't disagree with that. I'm just less likely to say "I doubt you'd be arrested on a weapons charge" knowing what the city attorney thinks. Arrested and convicted are two different things and I don't think a conviction has any chance, but that's just my opinion. I suspect that if one were arrested, the DA qould choose not to prosecute based on the AG's opinion. I don't think it's unreasonable to think that Metro PD has been instructed via the office of the city's attorney and/or the mayor's office that Ascend is off-limits. Maybe they have, maybe they haven't. I don't know. All I know for sure is that this won't be cleared up with certainty without legislative or judicial action. -

Nashville's city attorney disagrees with you. http://www.tennessean.com/story/news/politics/2015/07/30/ag-private-companies-cant-ban-legal-guns--public-parks/30898391/ -
Welcome to TGO. Buying and selling belongs in the Trading Post section. Here's the board for firearms classifieds. http://www.tngunowne...ms-classifieds/ You have to become a TGO Benefactor to post ads (but not to send a PM to a seller/buyer and make a deal with them). You can become a Benefactor here: http://www.tngunowne...-subscriptions/

Is there any other gunsmith company that has a good reputation for refinishing? Maybe you could look into that instead of Colt. I'd never put anything in the hands of a bankrupting company.

Nashville's greasy attorney can. He says that attending a concert is not "recreating" so it doesn't fall under the recreational language of the law. -

Fed Appeals Court Says Illegal Aliens Have 2A Rights
monkeylizard replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The definition of "we the people" has changed over the life of this country. It originally meant white land-owning men. Maybe as a cerebral concept of law it included others, but in actual practice it did not. Maybe we're in another of those times like the abolition of slavery or women's suffrage as far as expanding the definition. -
No, but you can use search tags on news aggregators like Reddit or Newser. Reddit has subreddits for just about everything so I'm sure there's one for treasure hunting. Here's one for "treasure hunters" on Newser. http://www.newser.com/tag/59009/1/treasure-hunters.html Newser is like a liberal Drudge Report with much smaller visitor numbers but since treasure hunting is generally apolitical that shouldn't mater. I see some of those stories on Drudge. Last week or earlier this week was one about some guys in Poland that claim to have found a lost Nazi train full of art and gold.

One of those things costs money while the other generates it. I wonder why they do one but not the other?

Fed Appeals Court Says Illegal Aliens Have 2A Rights
monkeylizard replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
God Given Rights are not a part of the US Constitution. God or any other higher being is not mentioned at all. The Declaration of Independence states that all men are created with certain inalienable rights from the Creator, among them are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The Constitution is man's attempt at soldifying those rights as best he can for "we the people of the United States." It then hangs on who exactly that includes. Only citizens? Visiting foreigners? Spouses of citizens? Green-card holding immigrants? Illegal aliens?
