  1.   This episode started 9 days after the power went out. So probably about 2 to 3 weeks since the initial reports Tobias was referring to that he saw on YouTube, and about 10-12 days since the show started.
  2. Nick and the crying bearded neighbor were hauled off because they can be a destabilizing factor in the community. The Lieutenant isn't going to put up with someone who's on the edge of losing it, so he shipped them out. Simple as that. Neither deportation has anything to do with the virus. Both are about maintaining order and control. Given the circumstances, I can't say that it's the wrong move in and of itself. He went about it the wrong way, raiding the house in the middle of the night, but the outcome is the same for Nick. Unfortunately for the Lt., I think his heavy handedness, along with Madison's discovery outside the wire, is the thing Travis needed to organize something and take action.   Griselda Salazar is shipped out for "medical treatment". That could mean the Army has the facility to do the surgery needed to save her foot, or they're going to put her down. I think we'll find out in the next episode.
  3. You'd definitely need a few hundred people to work it and maintain it.   In addition to the prebuilt fences, large farmable infield, and observation towers, it has those huge open fields around it .... I mean "parking lots" . You'd see any herds or living invaders coming a good ways off. There's also the municipal airport next door. those are some nice advantages. Biggest advantage of all.....it's close to the Anniston Army Depot if you could get there before it gets raided.   Some disadvantages are that it's not super close to a great water source. There are a couple of creeks nearby but I don't know if they flow year round. It would be a challenge to get water from the Coosa river all the way over there. It's also close to an Interstate, which is bad. Like peejman said, defending an oval would be hard. Those open fields that give good sight lines also create no natural funnel, so you could get hit from everywhere at once. It's not close to any sizeable town for raiding once the hysteria dies down.
  4.   I'm everywhere! There is no escape!
  5. Here's one: http://www.sadefensejournal.com/wp/?p=521     The linked article is about the Soviet PB.
  6. It's a tough call. Is he smokescreening, or has his position really evolved over time? Nobody knows but him.
  7. Last week was a double fluke of everything going right for the Titans and everything going wrong for the Bucs. We got lucky that the final score wasn't worse than it was this week. Defensive penalties on the Browns at just the right times helped the Titans keep hope alive. I think this week's team was pretty close to what I expect most of this season. We'll have a few games where it all comes together and we'll have a few where it all goes wrong, but most are going to be like this one: Mostly competitive with a few more bad plays than good ones. I think the Titans will have a lot of close games, but lose more of those than they win. They'll also get blown out by someone at least once, and maybe as many as three times this year. I expect that the Patriots will destroy them in Week 15. The Colts will brobably blow them out once, and then you have opportunity for it to happen again any given week if they just fall apart.   If we finish at .500 I'll be surprised.   If Whisenhunt doesn't have this turned around by next year, He'll be gone. Maybe sooner if ownership changes.

  9. That's a good idea. The Mosins are woth less than the books, so nobody would try to steal them. :D I'd want the bookshelves to open on their own after pushing a button hidden inside a bust of Beethoven, just so I could feel like Bruce Wayne.
  10. +1 to Uplula. I have one for AR mags and one for pistol mags.
  11. This is what I want.
  12. It would make a good composting bin or a firewood storage box.   Or a single bin for your recyclables. http://www.instructables.com/id/Recycling-Bin-sort-and-recycle-your-garbage/?ALLSTEPS
  13. What did you use for your concrete "pads" under your columns? Just 12x12 patio pavers, or are there special built ones of harder concrete for this purpose?       The column supports plus sistering would make the section of floor super strong.
  14. There's not enough Natural Light in the world to make me drunk enough to associate Rosie with women.
  15. +1 to JeffL's shed. I swear you'll think you've travelled so far into East Nashville that you ought to be in Wilson Co., but it's worth the drive.
  16. I blame the US Supreme Court. Just a few years ago we'd have never had a story about two Johnsons fighting over a cock.
  17.   You can always use another rain barrel. Get a couple of cans of the "stone" spray paint at Lowes/Homer and dress it up a bit.
  18. Here's an older one that's still quite good.
  19. Scott Adams scores 2 in a row. http://dilbert.com/strip/2015-09-18
  20. I think that the only thing he's hiding is that he thinks Travis is an idiot and is going to get them all killed. He has no desire to try to survive a societal collapse* with that wuss, a whiny girl, and a drug addict.     *Even Daniel can't fully understand what's coming. He probably thinks it's a relatively short-term (6 months to a few years) of social unrest and lawlessness until a medical cure is found. He has to think that if he can get out to a less populated area, he and his family will be OK. He can't possibly know this is the new normal for a very long time for the entire world.
  21. There isn't a cousin. That was just a lie Daniel told so they'd be left behind "waiting on his cousin" and depart from the family. He can't leave now that his wife is injured, so he has to try to get the others to leave him and his family.     The neighbor also taking out the trash looks like he might be interesting.
  22. Company or store policy. No laws about that.
