  1. The definition of "we the people" has changed over the life of this country. It originally meant white land-owning men. Maybe as a cerebral concept of law it included others, but in actual practice it did not. Maybe we're in another of those times like the abolition of slavery or women's suffrage as far as expanding the definition.
  2. No, but you can use search tags on news aggregators like Reddit or Newser. Reddit has subreddits for just about everything so I'm sure there's one for treasure hunting.   Here's one for "treasure hunters" on Newser. http://www.newser.com/tag/59009/1/treasure-hunters.html Newser is like a liberal Drudge Report with much smaller visitor numbers but since treasure hunting is generally apolitical that shouldn't mater.   I see some of those stories on Drudge. Last week or earlier this week was one about some guys in Poland that claim to have found a lost Nazi train full of art and gold.
  3.   One of those things costs money while the other generates it. I wonder why they do one but not the other?
  4.   God Given Rights are not a part of the US Constitution. God or any other higher being is not mentioned at all. The Declaration of Independence states that all men are created with certain inalienable rights from the Creator, among them are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The Constitution is man's attempt at soldifying those rights as best he can for "we the people of the United States." It then hangs on who exactly that includes. Only citizens? Visiting foreigners? Spouses of citizens? Green-card holding immigrants? Illegal aliens?
  5. If anyone missed the sale or wants more, woot! has them again. http://sellout.woot.com/?ref=gh_so_11#
  6. DaveS, I think you just talked me out of buying a bow. EVER.
  7. If you're not defending people, pets, or livestock from an immediate threat, you're hunting.
  8. Ah, that's possible.   homiebiggs, if that's the case, post a reply in Crazy Coot's for sale thread here: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/89992-glock-17-gen-4/ or send him a private message. You can do that by hovering over his name on any of his posts, then choosing "Send Message".
  9. Welcome to TGO. Buying and selling belongs in the Trading Post section. Here's the board for firearms classifieds. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/forum/39-firearms-classifieds/   You have to become a TGO Benefactor to post ads (but not to send a PM to a seller/buyer and make a deal with them). You can become a Benefactor here: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/store/category/1-benefactor-subscriptions/

  11. Remember that East St. Louis is also on our side of the Old Man.
  12.   Can anyone here answer this? I really want to know what the current regs are.
  13. But I guess Trinity has no problem with Wal-Mart selling R-rated movies, violent video games, or pornographic chick-lit paperbacks?
  14. Is hunting from the deck a problem? I thought I read that hunters had to be 200 yards from an occupied dwelling, but I don't see that on the current redesigned TWRA site.
  15. I'm actually faster shooting with my middle finger, but I have less control because of the changed grip so I don't do it with firearms. When I played paintball and laser tag a lot, I almost exclusively shot with my middle finger because in both games, volume can be just as important as accuracy. It's definitely a two-handed grip to do it though. With practice, I don't see why it won't become just as natural as the index finger.
  16. Actually, it doesn't cost anything to be honest and not try to hide an upcharge for using the most common method of payment.
  17. Classic has a video of cleaning out the cosmoline. Apparently mineral spirits works well. I used Simple Green to de-cosmo a Mosin. Worked pretty well.   The Yugo SKS was made from 1967-1989 http://www.sksboards.com/smf/index.php?topic=81.0
