  1. industrial farming uses lots of GPS positioning. I'm pretty sure those big tractors pretty much drive themselves for most of their time in the fields these days.
  2. Husqvarna makes one that is rated to do 1.5 acres. Rumor has it that iRobot (the Roomba people) will have one out soon.
  3. Doh! You're right.   I guess I should have said if I have a rifle that started as a pistol, but I now no longer have any pistol parts just the rifle (which was once a pistol), then get an 8" upper....   I suppose that highlights the stupidity of this BATFE rule.
  4. You do look through the scope. But you don't do it with your eye pressed up against the scope. Same as any other scoped rifle.
  5.   What OS said is correct about this. If the only possible way to use the part would result in an NFA item, then you're in violation.   If I have a complete rifle, then obtain an 8" upper, I'm not in violation because I can remove the stock from the tube on the lower that came with the rifle before attaching the 8" upper, making it a legal pistol. If I have a complete pistol, but no rifle-length upper or any complete AR rifle, and then obtain a stock, I'm in violation because the only thing I can do with that stock is make my pistol into an SBR.   ETA DISCLAIMER: Sentence 1 is incorrect. See below for details.
  6. Got the whole library headed my way. All BluRay except Precision Rifle. That's the only one they just had DVD version. For $10 a pop, it's hard to turn down. I know they're not comprehensive and there are other schools of thought out there, but I need to get started and these seem like a great place to begin.
  7. I can't wait for them to become widespread. Think about the amount of time many of us spend in our cars each day. What if you could use that time for something else? All those excuses I have about not doing X because I don't have time....What if I got 2 hours a day back from my self-driving car? There's no reason the interiors can't be anything we want (within reason for safety). Put in a stationary bike, a TV, a couch, a desk, a bed, a hot tub. Why not?
  8. Did you order the side of cockroaches?
  9. Hattie B's may or may not be posted. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/87574-hattie-bs-hot-chicken/?hl=hattie Pepperfire is not. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/90282-pepperfire-hot-chicken-not-posted-never-will-be/
  10. I wonder what those RSOs would make of this.
  11. PSA is clearing out some Magpul stuff. Best price I've ever seen on their Art Of the fill in the blank videos. $9.99 each. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/deals/clearance/magpul-clearance.html
  12. As Dolomite said above, markings on the lower don't mean anything. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/91172-ar-15-handgun-question/?p=1309965
  13. Bad link. I get 404.   I think it's this one though: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/159201-my-wwii-us-small-arms-collection/
  14. Do a backstage tour of The Ryman. Skip the Country Music Hall of Fame. It was made for true country music fans and goes deep into the roots of the genre. You're barely into the 1960s at the halfway point.   Do visit the free TN State Museum and their War Museum Annex.   Downtown hotels are all good. No dumps anywhere. But they ARE expensive. You could look at the West End/Vanderbilt area as an alternative. Many of those hotels offer free shuttles to/from downtown. It's a cheap and quick taxi/Uber/Lyft ride to/from them if not. Heck, the MTA bus is actually reasonable for those hotels. Speaking of MTA buses, we have two free loops called the Music City Circuit. Just hop on and off as you please. Speaking of hop-on-hop-off, Grayline offers a $28 hop-on-hop-off trolley that goes to the top places and gives you some history of the city. That's great for exploring during the day. It runs from 9a-5:30p.   http://www.nashvillemta.org/Nashville-MTA-Music-City-Circuit.asp http://graylinetn.com/music-city-trolley-hop/
  15. Probably to break in to some place. He knows Nick is a heroin addict, not just a regular addict. He can make the safe assumption that Nick knows how to get in and out of places.
  16.   You really don't have that much of a legal obligation. You just have to have no reasonable reason to think they're not a TN resident or are a felon. No need to even ask from a legal perspective.
  17.   Thanks! I was wondering what that button was for. I thought it was like the AR-bolt cam pin where it was a "lock" that had to be in a certain position to disassemble/reassemble, but it didn't quite feel like that's what it was.
  18. That combo has 'Murica written all over it.
  19. No idea.
  20. They had me until I saw Not for SAIGA rifles/carbines.
  21. I bet if you have a hotel near the site you can make your whole fiscal year in that one week.
  22.   Maybe. I heard on the local news that the legislature plans to take up the issue in January. I suspect they may have the law changed (in our favor or not, who knows) by the time your case would go to court. Making the whole thing kind of pointless unless you're also looking for a monetary settlement from the city.
  23. <<nevermind>>
