  1. Sorry Morrisster. I didn't mean to cut you out.
  2. I should have a rifle scoped .257 Roberts pistol for you to play with. !!
  3. could we go for the next weekend to accommodate Robert? That would be Feb 12th. any objections? You just had to go and join the guard didn't you. lol
  4. I call this one... 'The Compensator"
  5. How about a tentative date of Feb 5th, a Saturday, say 10AM Eastern. That's a month away. Enough time?
  6. Does Chad shoot with ya'll? They have a pistol range, A 50 yd range, and a 100 yd range.
  7. I've been carting around some guys 357 magnum reloads for months hoping to catch him up there. I can't quite place his name, but I know him when I see him. I think its John. Weekends are great. You can never guess when the place will be crowded. I've went on a Saturday afternoon and had the whole place to myself. I've went on Thursday and couldn't get in. You just have to go and see. We need to install a webcam.
  8. I fixed it for ya!
  9. I don't read directions. They never tell you any of the important stuff. I'll try that for sure, though.
  10. If you own a pistol and you reload, don't walk, run to the store and buy some Trail Boss and some lead bullets. I'm loading a 158gr lead SW with 4.0gr of powder and CCI SPM primers. My sights are set for full 357mag loads. 50yds was way low, but 25yds was a little high, making me think that at 35 or 40 they would be dead on. Sound was reduced and recoil was minimal. went all the way through my wood backboard and halfway through my cinder block backstop. It also makes you smile real big. I'm going to make a 44mag load as soon as my barrel gets here. The powder metered well out of my lee powder measure. It also appears to go a long way. The only problem I had is it picks up static and sticks to my plastic hopper.
  11. Hey froggy! Is that last pic at Chattanooga rifle club?
  12. It is replaced. You get a new post and cover. They work great! I have a set.
  13. If you want a light kicker with lots of options get a .243 Win. The classic calibers are classics for a reason. 30-06, 270, etc. If you read the bullet tables you'll see that alot of the different rounds match each other on performance while only a few 'stand out'. If I were you I would check into a 6.5 or a 450 Bushmaster ($800) upper for my AR or try shooting deer with a heavy .223 round. Alot of people have killed deer with the 223, but I don't personally own one. Shot placement somewhat trumps horsepower. Shoot em in the head if your concerned about dropping em flat.
  14. Rifle- Kimber 84m ultralight .308 win. 4lbs of pure pain. It's an accurate rifle, once you get past the gun trying to ram it's scope down your throat. Left real nice bruises. Pistol- T/C Encore .308 win pistol. I loved it and would shoot it again anytime. I'm going to get a 375 H&H barrel for my Encore pistol next year.
  15. The more I read and try to understand the world the more it becomes apparent that there never were any gods. Religion stems from an unwillingness to accept that there are things we just don't understand as of yet. Eventually humanity shall be able to move past this. Then we will read about Jesus in the same book we read about the Roman gods and laugh. I've heard from a lot of christian people that they currently believe that Christianity is on the decline in the US with the younger generation. We can only hope that this is true. As Richard Dawkins said, “I am against religion because it teaches us to be satisfied with not understanding the world.” Religion causes more trouble than it is worth. All one can hope to gain from it is a mild placebo affect anyways.
  16. I had to switch to a scope to get that kinda group together. The red dot has an HUGE amount of parallax.
  17. Buy my CZ 452... lol.
  18. 10 shots at 50 yards with CCI Mini Mags. WEEEEEeeeee!
  19. I was going for an m1a socom II look, but it kinda got side tracked into stainless parts. Gotta call it something. M10/22 would probably be a better choice of names.
  20. Just built it.
  21. The real question is... if he offered you both pistols at $80 apiece would you have taken it? Profit is not a dirty word. Never trust anyone trying to sell you something. Do your research for yourself.
  22. Look online at a 'Comanche' pistol. Ive seen these in person and they look ROUGH, but they have a kinda 'mad max' cool to them.
  23. I own six of these rifles. I have not broken in any of them and they all still shoot great. If you have accuracy trouble out of the box, free float the barrel. Enjoy one of the greatest rifles ever made! All 'American' models and .22wmr/17hmr Varmints are 3/8" rail. Get a set of BKL rings. They are worth the money.
  24. Closed Tue and Wed. Opens at noon on Sunday. Open from daylight to dark every day not mentioned. Closed during managed hunts.
