  Wrong.   You can legally sell ANY gun you make, including 80% lowers.   The key is intent when it was made. If you intended to sell it when you made it then, yes, it is against the law unless you are a manufacturer. But if you build it then decide later to sell it you are perfectly legal. So how does one prove intent? Normally with the numbers. A person who builds lowers with the intent to sell often sell a lot of them a year while someone who built them then later decided to sell would rarely sell more than one or two a year.   At any rate any firearm, regardless of builder, can be sold providing the buyer can legally own it and as long as the gun itself is not against the law to possess.

Telling a, yet to be named, person you will do everything in your power to get them fired is not a threat. Just as it is the employee's right to be an ass it is Caster's right to complain about that disrespectful employee, I know I do all the time and if the employee gets fired then he probably deserved it. That employee represents the company and I am sure his boss, or business owner, would love to hear about how that employee drove away a potential customer with his disrespectful actions.   Caster did not threaten anyone on this board from what I can tell. Now if the disrespectful person is a member here he can contact me about the perceived "threat" and I will take the appropriate action. But he will not get a single ounce of concern from me if he finds himself, hopefully, looking for a new job.   I am sick and tired of people not having the most basic respect for others. Seems like a lot think they are entitled to be an ass and they are but it is also my right to do everything in my power to teach them that being a disrespectful ass does not get them far in life. And I used to stand by, not complain or get involved but not anymore because those disrespectful, entitlement crowd types now think they can do it to everyone. I will no longer tolerate being disrespected by anyone else that I have not disrespected. If an employee looks at me wrong, makes a comment I don't like or treats me with anything but the respect I deserve as a human being I will contact every person between them and God to complain about them. And if they get fired as part of it so be it, maybe they will think twice before being disrespectful towards the next person.

Hiding from the government makes no sense. If you want an AR lower that is not tied to you just go to any show and buy one from one of the guys standing outside. No one, especially the government, is the wiser to you buying the lower. There are tons on the various websites as well.   With the way the ATF is raiding those selling 80% lowers for customer lists I would be more afraid of buying an 80% lower than a serialized lower from someone face to face.

So far the discussion has been civil and fair. With that being said as soon as someone comes in and starts bashing cops I will lock this down. Lets try to avoid stereotyping ALL officers with blanket statements or trying to prove there are bad officers out there. We all know every profession, including law enforcement, has bad apples so please do not post articles, or videos, to prove some officers are bad.   Now with that being said this has gone through my head a lot recently. Mostly because I have had acquaintances who have had their dogs shot and it does seem like it is a growing problem among law enforcement. And all an officer needs to say, not prove, is they were in fear of being bitten to create justification for it. And I know there are a lot of cases where shooting an animal is justified in order to protect the officer but I also believe there are a lot of cases that should have been handled much differently to save the life of a cherished pet.   So how do we change this disturbing trend? First thing is training. Training would be the fastest and best way to change this. Second would be being able to hold those officers accountable, both criminally and civilly. And not just not for destroying a piece of property but charging them criminally for the same exact charge any one of us would be charged with if we shot some strangers dog. That is charge them with reckless endangerment for discharging a weapon, aggravated assault if any humans are present and finally aggravated animal cruelty. After officers start going to jail the rest will think twice before discharging their duty weapon. I am not sure what I would do if an officer shot one of my family members. If I were to be present at the time of the incident I would have a very, very hard time not doing something that would likely put me in jail for life. No way I could stand idly by while any of my loved ones were being killed by anyone.   Again, lets keep it civil and not start bashing law enforcement.

I have, and will only use, NiB BCGs from now on so the ability to use my BCG is an important factor for me. This is my favorite gun, at least for now. I really like how it shoots, handles and conceals. And with the 7.62x39 caliber it is more than adequate for self defense, even out of its 7.5" barrel. This setup is not so much just for the bedroom but this is something that gets used for our bedroom, our home as well as in our vehicle when we are away from home. In the past I have also used various shotguns, various rifles and definitely some pistols but I have settled into this being the "forever" gun used in the home and away from the home. And because it is a "handgun" I can legally carry it anywhere I can legally carry my sidearm. It will not replace my sidearm but will be used in conjunction with my sidearm when I can. At home it is not stored in the bag but laying on top of the bag. My original bag was your typical small tactical bag that would look out of place in most places I would be so the search was on for a less obvious bag. Thae tactical bag also precluded the use of 30 round magazines. So after a few suggestions from friends, and urging from my wife, I decided to try the California Pak Ransom 18 inch available from Amazon. It is perfect, with a capital P, for this setup. It allows a 30 round magazine to be in the gun, which the previous bag did not, and has plenty of storage for other items I would need like a knife, flash light, first aid supplies and the few other items I feel are necessary for a bag I am using to get home or deal with immmediate threats. I can easily reach in the bag and either load or unload the weapon without actually removing the gun from the bag. Here is the inconspicuous looking bag closed. And how the inside looks with the gun, and other items, stored inside. And finally, the opened bag with the deployed "handgun" placed on top. And a picture of the gun by itself. The AK itself is nothing more than a standard Mini Draco with a 7.5" barrel. It uses standard AK muzzle devices and other than the forearm everything else is pretty much standard AK. I had originally bought a M92 PAP but decided against it because it was too long for most bags and it was HEAVY, weighing over 9 pounds loaded with a 30 round magazine. By comparison the Mini Draco weighs less than 8.5 pounds with the Sig Brace, folding mechanism and 30 roudn magazine loaded with a mix of 123 grain and 154 grain bullets. I drilled and tapped the rear of the receiver (yes it is extremely hard) for the 10-32 screws to attach the Stormwerkz hinge, the best IMHO and definitely better than ACE hinges. On the other side of the hinge I attached a pig nose adapter to allow me to use the extended buffer tube with an original Sig Brace. I swapped in a Hogue over molded pistol grip and added a 550 cord loop for a rear sling point. I replaced the standard 500 meter rear sight with an RPK style rear sight that has adjustments for wind. I did this so I can center the front sight because I believe that the front sight ears also help to get on target faster so when the front sight post is not in the center of the sings I think it can affect sight picture under stress. I replaced the factory single point trigger with a double hook trigger. The second hook was modified to turn it into an over travel stop. This significantly reduces the over travel of the factory AK trigger which is probably the single worst part of the AK platform. I also replaced the factory twisted hammer/trigger spring with a Damage Industries spring not because the factory unit is bad but because I wanted something of known quality. I replaced the factory birdcage flash hider with standard slant brake that I shortened. It looks like a thread protector but because it still has the internal bump in place it works like an unmodified slant brake but is 1/2" shorter. The forearm is from a Saiga rifle, not a shotgun, that I chopped down to fit the Mini Draco. This one is the third version. I tried it with a rail and Magpul AFG but I felt it just added weight and complexity that it does not need. I took a 10-32 screw and sharpened it, then screwed it into the hole the forearm screw goes into with the point out. I then installed the rear of the forearm then pressed the front of the forearm onto the sharpened screw. This gave me the exact place to drill the clearance hole for the 10-32 sling swivel. After sanding the front I used a Sharpie to match the rest of the forearm.

Questions.   Does it take a proprietary BCG? What is the expected price? I assume that because it can be used as a forward assist that it is reciprocating. Is that so? If not does the handle reciprocate?   I REALLY like the New Frontier Armory side charger other than one thing. It does not have a forward assist or a way to ensure the bolt is completely locked up. The price of the NFA side charging upper is also really attractive at $225. And finally the NFA does not use a proprietary BCG, it uses a standard BCG with a special cam pin they supply.

You have thousands of active followers of OBL, and probably millions rooting and funding for him, so there is plenty of reason for his people to keep his death from typhoid hidden. Had they made that public it would have taken a lot of moral away from those fighting for him as well as stopped the cash flow from his supporters.   What guy you talking about? If you are talking about the two guys I talked to about all of this I haven't spoke to them since I left contracting.   I just don't believe OBL died in 2011.   Another funny thing is after 2006 there were no new videos of OBL, well a couple in 2007 but those were likely recorded well in advance like most of his videos. There are audio tapes claiming to be him but no more videos, a medium he did use regularly. From the beginning he used videos regularly then they all stopped well before 2011.

Perhaps the prior administration didn't want to take the chance and say he was dead. Waiting to make sure he did die of typhoid would not hurt anything while jumping at it immediately and being wrong could be very, very harmful.   As far as the helicopter parts could be several reasons for that. One, they could be on a mission to grab someone else or, like a lot of things, saying that parts were found could be misinformation to support another lie by this administration.   Just saying I was personally told by two separate people OBL died of typhoid in 2006. I was old once while I was in a remote region of north eastern Afghanistan and later while in the capital. Believe it or not but I do believe he was already dead in 2007.

  +1   Plenty of other vets who are far worse off than him. He has even taken to taking shots at other SOF groups like Rangers, SF and MARSOC.   So he shot OBL, he could not have done it without the, probably hundreds, of support people along the way. Him taking credit, with no mention of anyone else, goes right along with my personal experience with SEALs.   I still do not believe OBL was killed in 2011. I believe he died in 2006, as I was told by several different people, of typhoid and the president took a calculated risk in declaring we killed OBL. I have wondered why there was no body, no pictures of the body or anything else for the public to see. He was our country's greatest villain and his body was just dumped into the sea, I don't believe it. Can't tell me there wasn't at least one person who took a picture before they dumped him overboard. There is even a post by someone else long before 2011 stating the same thing, OBL died in 2006 from typhoid.   Remember, this was right before the president's run for reelection.   And above all else I hope OBL is in fact dead, regardless from what, because if he isn't it would be very, very bad for the US and our allies. Imagine the support he would get if he suddenly appeared in the public spotlight saying he has risen from the dead after the infidels killed him. All Muslims would follow him unconditionally thinking he is the next great prophet and we would be the enemy.    In the end I do believe OBL is dead but I do not believe he died the way we have been told.

I guess I should have said the NDA cannot prevent someone from discussing unclassified material rather than saying there was not a NDA. Like I have said, saying you killed OBL is not classified and saying you are a SEAL definitely is not classified. As long as anything he says does not put other service members, or the public, in danger I have zero issue with him talking about it.

I was told by the VA, as well as DFAS, that I would be able to keep Tricare if I kept up with the payments. Unfortunately the payments were well beyond my ability to pay. If I remember correctly it was north of $500 a month.   I was medically discharged so it could have been a special benefit for those who were medically discharged. I kept my medical coverage for 6 months after exit at no cost to me because of the medical discharge. After that I could he kept Tricare if I paid the premiums. I know anyone exiting the service can keep Tricare for 18 months, and even up to 36 months, if they pay the premiums.   But that non disclosure agreement only covers classified information, not all information. Saying you shot OBL in the head is not classified nor is being a SEAL, nor is being the SEAL who shot OBL. Now how he got there and what he used could be classified but not admitting to killing OBL. I have read a lot of the stuff that has been said regarding this, as well as watching videos, and IMHO he is not disclosing classified information.   As far as I can remember the forms I signed were not called Non Disclosure Agreements. They did have to deal with OPSEC as well as the handling of classified information but nothing forbidding me from discussing military operations that were not classified. To me a Non Disclosure agreement is an agreement to not talk about anything but you cannot prevent someone from discussing things that are not classified.   Either way I do not believe he has violated anything and has not divulged any more classified information than Obama, Hillary and other members of our government have. They have discussed in detail operational details that this hero would have been thrown in jail for saying. And yes he is a hero, it takes a lot of guts to do what he did in killing OBL and even more to make his face and name public. He, and his family, will be targets for the rest of their lives because of this and that takes a lot of courage.

Ok, there is no such thing as a non disclosure agreement within the military. There IS some forms you sign saying you will not disclosed classified information such as operational details but nothing saying you cannot discuss operations in general terms.   Someone saying they killed OBL is not against the law, now disclosing the how, what, where, why as well as detailed any classified equipment can get you in trouble.   I am sure most of these writers have all been briefed, or at least know, what they can and cannot say to keep themselves out of the eyes of the government.

I don't know about anyone else but I would be PISSED if someone else made my identity known without my permission. This guy probably has a HUGE bounty on his head now.   Time in service has no bearing on your VA benefits. Trainees who get injured during basic training become eligible for VA benefits when they exit service. Even if he did not make it to retirement he is still eligible for VA benefits. If he is rated over 30% he gets bumped up to category 1 and gets VA payments that including his dependents for figuring out how much he is going to be paid. The ONLY way he would be refused VA treatment or compensation is if he was dishonorably discharged. I am a category 1 veteran and I was not in anywhere close to this guy.   By exiting early he probably lost his TriCare coverage for him and his family, that is unless he kept up with the payments, and that is what he is talking about. ALL veterans exiting the service can keep Tricare, not just retirees, but they must keep up with the monthly payment. I can guarantee he knew full well he would loose his retirement by leaving early.

I carry two letters, one says the brace does not change the classification of the weapon it is installed on and the other is letter above. Hopefully between the two I should not get hassled too hard by LE. But I also know of a TWRA range in Knoxville that tells people it is illegal to shoulder a pistol with the Sig brace installed. But I will also say the majority of LE are ignorant of weapon laws and especially ignorant of NFA laws.

Am I missing something? $700 is not out of sight for something like this.
