  1.   Probably need to figure out a way to verify people's ages.   In all seriousness though the bedroom toys were listed on Facebook of all places. Wasn't like I was looking for them but when you see them for SELL you can't help but wonder why kind of people are BUYING used bedroom toys? Kind of a WTF is wrong with people moment.
  2. I was honestly wanting to watch this. Maybe not in theaters but I still wanted to see it.
  3.   Probably not so much a laugh but a sigh at the stupidity that is common with Walmart workers. I could write a novel about what I have had to deal with from the various Walmarts. They are the only group of people that are not happy to have a job right now. The vast majority of Walmart workers I come in contact with seem to be upset that they have a job, with benefits no less, when there are millions of people who do not have a job. I have talked to management dozens of times but they are nothing more than a higher paid version of the door greeter.
  4.   This is also like the wild Dolomite. All he wants is to live in the woods away from people.
  5. I joke all the time about how my 8.5" 30 Blackout is also a snipper rifle and how I need it to do some snipping of the enema soldiers when the SHTF.     But seriously it is like every other ad you see in my area it seems. I can't count how many time I have seen on local seller pages a "Riffle Four Sell" or "Trailor" or the used underwear, socks or "bedroom toys" people want to sell for 2x new because they are already broken in.   And what the hell is up with the $485 in California taxes?
  6. I was told the manager of that particular store that has ammo and odd offerings got permission to buy from channels outside of normal Walmart channels. I don't know how true it is but that Walmart generally has tons of stuff you cannot find at other stores. They sell reloading equipment. They have had ACOGs for sale from time to time as well as various night vision including weapon sights, and not just the handheld units. When you could not find primers in 2009 that store always had primers.   They were selling Remington R15's, special Magpul versions of S&W and Colt AR's that you could not find anywhere else.   Now I will say that particular store had some issues right after Sandy Hook as well. Two days later they would not sell any ARs, including those in 22lr. When I asked about why they said the Federal law had changed making AR15's illegal. I tried to explain that they were not illegal and that a law would not be changed that quickly but they still refused to listen or sell any. Then I went to buy some of the dozens of bricks of 22lr they had and I was told they could no longer sell 22's. When I asked why they said ARs are chambered in 22lr and that the ammunition used in ARs was also illegal.
  7. There is a Walmart in Knoxville that has had 300 Blackout guns and ammunition from time to time. I remember seeing R700's in 300 Blackout for under $600 and cheap ammunition for under $13 a box of 20.
  8.   But she didn't tell you what I was bitching about. And I won't either if I don't want to end up on the couch tonight.
  9. Yeah, as much brass as I already have I might actually order more.
  10. Well I must have been a really good boy this year because a second package showed up. It had a couple of security cameras in the box, one day/night camera and another hidden camera. I do appreciate it and they will definitely get some use.
  11. I picked up two pair in Home Depot today, they were reduced in store to $49.97 then with my 10% discount it was like getting them tax free.
  12. It does suck to carry around 24" worth of barrel and suppressor.
  13. Unfortunately is it not covered by Obamacare.
  14. Send me the dimensions and I will make you two.   Also, PM me your address.
  15. Not that hard to stitch leather, especially if it already has holes. Walmart sells fake sinew and waxed string you can use. They also sell the big needles I use to stitch leather with. I thread it like a normal needle then push it through the hole and grab it with a paid of pliers and pull it through.
  16.   No excuse for not having a crush waster when they are $3 shipped. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crush-washer-5-8-24-308-300-7-62-/151384584442?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item233f3970fa   Or a charging handle for $14 shipped: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Charging-Handle-223-5-56-7-62x39-300AAC-mil-spec-USA-/121485440622?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c4918b66e   No way I could look at a gun, and not be able to shoot it, because of $17.
  17.   I received my gift today and words cannot express how much I appreciate the lengths my Secret Santa, and his helper, went through to find me a perfect gift. I was honestly at a loss for words upon reading the letter. Caring enough to to do what you did on my behalf is humbling. I am sure it was not easy to find me the perfect gift but you did and I truly appreciate it more than words can say. And I can honestly say that anyone who would do what you guys did, and give me the gift you did, is a true friend. I want you guys to know that if there is ever anything you need please feel free to ask.     And for those of you who are wondering what my Secret Santa gave me, they gave me money. But what they gave me was more than just money. They also wrote a heartfelt letter, that made this gift very, very personal. And cash allows me to buy the perfect gift which, in the end, is all my, or any, Secret Santa wants for the person getting the gift.   In closing I would like to say thanks. Thanks to my Secret Santa for giving me the perfect gift and a personal letter. I would like to say thanks to Metalhead for putting this on. I would also like to thank TGO David for providing us with a place for our TGO family to come together, share our lives , our stories as well as the highs, and the lows, with other members of our TGO family.

  19.   I have a brand new Remington 580 that I have been hanging onto for a very, very long time.
  20. Thanks guys. And although I will not change my name like Sour Kraut has I will definitely make it know I am now an Opa. I always wondered what it would have been like if we had a girl instead of a boy. Now I can find out but without all the headache of being a parent, well I will still worry.
  21. I protect my ears with silencers now.   I have fired M2 machine guns, 50 BMG, without hearing protection. I also had a ZU-23 fire several long bursts about 10 feet from me without hearing protection. I have also had rockets explode close as well as being close to RPGs firing and those events caused my ears to ring. But I do not believe any of those did a lot of the damage because they were not long term exposure. For me it was years of firing an M60, and M16's, without hearing protection. Tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, of rounds over the course of 8 years is what probably did most of the damage.   But the most painful gun I have EVER been around was a shorty AR being shot under a tin roof. That was extremely painful and that did screw with my equilibrium like the bigger calibers.   I have to have noise or it does get bothersome.
  22. How long is the barrel?
  23. I don't mind either way.   I will tell you a story from Saiga land though regarding leaving pricing information up. There was a Saiga that was imported and it was never particularly popular. Most sold on sale for under $300 and took forever to sell at that. Well step forward a few years and some random guy who has one decides to sell it but because there was no real pricing data out there he decides to throw a random, and by most accounts ludicrous, number out there. So he put up an ad asking something like $3,800 for this $300 Saiga. Of course it never sold and he was ridiculed off of the website but he left the ad. So step forward a few more years and people who own this $300 Saiga are doing research and now think it is worth $3,800. There was a rash of people selling these based on that old ad. Well over time, because sellers would refuse to sell their guns for cheap thinking they were worth $3,800, the prices started creeping up. And eventually some of those $300 Saigas began to sell for big dollars to most people's amazement. It do not believe it was because the gun was rare or desirable but because someone left up an old ad asking an insane price and that insane price became the new norm.
