“Biggest Gun Grab In The History Of Our Country”
Dolomite_supafly replied to Ron_TN's topic in General Chat
Hillary has already said gun owners are terrorists so I can see all the resources used against Al Qaeda, ISIS and all other "terrorist" groups be used against gun owners, especially gun owning veterans. I expect my letter any day because I cannot remember names because of the accident. I am about to have a evaluation done to determine if I have a TBI and I am seriously considering cancelling it even though it can seriuosly affect other parts of my life. -
He contacted SIG and they told him not rest it on the magazine. That is a failure of the gun as well as the company. Imagine the one time you need it to save a life and in your excitement you grab the magazine or rest it on something, that could cost lives. Realize that ANY gun could be used to save a life so EVERY gun I own must be 100% reliable. By save a life I am not only talking about armed engagements but also hunting and that even includes 22's. If the SHTF tomorrow game will become very scarce so getting some sort of game might actually be the difference between life and death.

I would rather have Cuba. Old cars, cheap prices and cigars what is not to like?

Problem is they will eventually encircle us and control imports into the free parts of the country, they are already over 1/2 way there.

If it were me I would counter with the ever popular " it is because I am black and you are racist". I bet that would have shut the entire episode of stupidity down in a nanosecond.
-
Yeah, for the most part I am done with 22's. I have a few guns that I will keep just to keep but I will not be shooting much 22 any more. I can shoot my 300 Blackout, 45 ACP and 9mm cheaper than 22. And I do not have to find certain, subsonic, ammunition to work with my silencers because I will load what ever velocity I need. BTW, Geco ammunition is good ammunition. About like Wolf Match or CCI SV.

Lack of potable water will kill you quicker than anything else in a survival situation. I have three different ways to filter water because it is such an important resource to have.

Our son got back from Africa earlier this year. -
I keep a Lifestraw with me at all times.

Under normal conditions Darwin works great. Unfortunately our government decided to protect dumb people from themselves. So because the dumb ones are at least living longer they do get to pass on their genes.

I'm 20 miles east of Knoxville and mine is working fine.

What is truly sad about all of this is it takes something like this for things to change, if it even does. Had this not happened all those armed guards would be in handcuffs which is awful. Anyone should be able to use whatever tools they feel they need without anyone else telling them they cannot. It is like telling a surgeon he can't use a scalpel even though it is the best tool for the job. I wish they could have been armed with anything and everything they need to be safe here. No service member should die at the hands of the enemy at home especially when misguided policies prevent them from defending themselves.

Gun shop owner declares store Muslim-free zone
Dolomite_supafly replied to tennesseetiger's topic in General Chat
Easy there, not all Muslims are "sand people" and not all "sand people" are Muslims. Plenty of middle eastern people who are Christians. Just don't want us to turn allies into enemies. -
Shootings in Chattanooga and Cleveland?!?!
Dolomite_supafly replied to GlockSpock's topic in General Chat
Or worse yet if the DoD decides to void their life insurance and veteran benefits because they were engaged in activity against policy. But it is good to hear at least they went down fighting. If I could I would help protect them. -

They do not make a youth version of your gun? That would be the way I would go if I could. -
I seen a picture of one "volunteer" who posed for cameras with an AR pistol with a VFG. He will find himself in trouble because several media outlets have posted the pictures and some have questioned the legality of the gun. Btw, the gun had no sights on it which tells me it was a "hey look at me" stunt.

Not exactly. You can, with the property owner's permission, do anything the property owner can. There are plenty of employees who carry guns without a HCP at their place of business because the business gave them permission. So if the property owner gave permission it would be no different than telling someone they can carry on my property. This is a gray area because I would never assume the property owner agreed to allow it because they said nothing to the contrary. If I were dead set on attempting to protect our service members I would at least write a letter to the property owner asking permission first.

Gun shop owner declares store Muslim-free zone

DoJ does not do what it does for "justice" any more. They are the "enforcers" of our government, a government that could not be more corrupt or prejudiced if it tried. I have always said that ANY shop owner should be able to refuse to sell to anyone they do not want to sell to. If the reason happens to be because of race, sex, religion or any of the other "protected" classes so be it. FFLs are probably the last ones that can actually refuse to sell and not have the feds come in to investigate. What would worry me is the other "radicals" looking for a way to martyr themselves might see this guy as the motivation. -
The single shots are shorter and lighter making it easier on me when I am working on load development or just testing stuff out. Bolt guns tend to be more accurate than single shots but ringing steel is all I ever do any more.

L.A. police find stash of 1,200 guns in dead man's home

It's for the children, don't you know. And I bet even if a relative came forward they would not release them.
