It will change the crime rates in Detroit. What will be interesting to see is how the left spins it when the crime rate drops from the Chief's urging for all of Detroit's citizens to carry. There will be a overall decrease in crimes but mostly violent ones because citizens will fight back, they will kill some criminals and then the criminals will begin to realize that their free for all heyday has come to a screeching halt. I honestly wish there was a legal requirement for every single citizen to own at least one firearm, doesn't mean you have to carry it, use it or even take it out of storage because knowing that everyone you come in contact owns a gun would make a lot of bad guys think twice about committing crimes, especially violent ones. Or better yet take all the old surplus firearms and reissue them to the citizens of the country. Make it a lot like a civilian version of the 1033 program for LE except for civilians and call it the "militia program". Use the Second amendment as the justification to create a militia, arm the members of the militia and train those who agree to join a militia. Send a militia, not military, ID card with every gun letting the owner know that along with the gun comes the responsibility to protect the nation, themselves and their loved ones with their newly acquired firearm. Let active duty military train the small groups of militia members in basic firearms, survival and fighting skills. The active duty military can use it as an exercise in training indigenous people. So many things I would change about this country if I could.

You do realize he is missing one arm? That might be why he is not supporting the rifle and why he is "50% tactical". I guess you need both arms to be "100% tactical".

Here is a list of things I believe Obama will do before leaving office. 1. EO prohibiting the import of ALL "assault weapons" 2. EO prohibiting the import of ALL ammunition that can be used in "assault weapons" 3. EO prohibiting the import of ALL high capacity magazines 4. EO prohibiting the import of ALL gun parts for "assault weapons" 5. Presidential pardon for known terrorists (I believe this is why there was such a huge fight to have them tried as criminals in the US courts. He could not have pardoned a military combatant) 6. EO with some sort of far reaching immigration policy basically opening the flood gates for illegals to enter. Millions will enter before the EO is overturned but the damage will already be done. These will be done in the days before he leaves office so nothing can be done BEFORE he leaves.

But you are more than capable of doing most things because you are level headed, don't get too worked up about things and can actually think, reason and solve things.

Grab a can of "rubberized undercoating" instead. It is about 1/3 the cost of Flex Seal and appears to be identical. I have used my weight in the undercoating so I knew Flex Seal was the same product.

There is something called "pistol made from a rifle" that falls under SBR category. That covers instances like the Mosin where the end result was not a short barreled rifle but a "pistol made from a rifle".

Ahh crap, she figured out her "new" password.

I was reading the graphs wrong. Got confused, sorry.

BIG difference in pressures between 2" and 10", ~30K at 2" and over 50K at 10". I seriously doubt it can stand an increase of that much. But hey, it was never designed to work with a long barrel so it is a moot point anyway. Curious though, what are the numbers with A1680 as the powder? It is considered the "AK" powder.

https://instagram.com/p/4j05uoi0BP/ There is a picture of the ports. Not sure I want to shoot it with the ports facing backwards. But I suspect the pressures never really get to full 7.62x39 pressures because of the porting and short barrel. I would really like to see the same pistol with a 10" barrel and no porting. I bet it would not survive.

Or the one shooting it, bystanders and probably anyone within a square block.

I can guarantee anyone set on doing harm to others will just shoot the bag checker in the face before submitting to a bag search. All this created is a super safe place for criminals to commit crimes against others. I really, really wish one of many victims who were hurt at these gun free zones would sue the property owner. Even if they don't win the cost would eventually eat away at the gun buster signs on the doors. http://wate.com/2015/08/19/regal-movie-theaters-begin-bag-search-policy/ Some on the Regal Columbus Stadium 12 Facebook page claim the new policy is turning them away. One comment called the policy unjust and unfriendly to law-abiding citizens. “Will not, under any circumstances, return to a Regal theater since you instituted the bag search policy,” one person wrote. Another poster said, “Do you guys want to go out of business? Hassling women to check their purses?” “I understand that, but I think it would be nice if people didn’t have guns in the movie theaters,” Jay Weinisch said. “I don’t think it’s that much to ask.” On it’s website, Regal Entertainment Group acknowledges that the policy could be an inconvenience, but says they hope it is a minor issue compared to increased safety. “I think that anything that will protect the citizens, people should have the patience to go through that,” Shirley Wilkie said.

Not legal in the US unless it is registered as a NFA device. Basically shotguns, with smooth bores, can't be pistols and pistols, with rifled barrels, cannot have a bore larger than .500". 12 gauge bore diameter is ~.73" in diameter.

http://www.guns.com/2015/08/18/heizers-pocket-ak-now-shipping/ For those times when you need a flash to take someone's picture. Seriously though, that fireball must be pretty impressive. Might make a decent last ditch gun for those carrying other firearms in 7.62x39.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity to come back to Knoxville. Do you still have a way to contact your immediate boss or his boss? If so a letter written by you telling them how much you liked the job, the people you worked for and how much you have put towards the company (after all you did make a move for them) might make them reconsider. Especially if the job you did was as specialized as you say. Perhaps an offer to come back at your starting salary as a means to show how dedicated you are to the company you moved for and spent 10 years of your life making better. I always hated the HR people. They always seem to be more interested in causing grief to their employees than actually helping them. Or hell, reapply through their website for the same position. Never know what might happen once they realize the place will come to a screeching halt once you leave. Is there anyone left that can do your job?

Just bought a new revolver, but can't find ammo...

Look for 45 LC cowboy loads. They are on the low end as far as power goes and make decent target loads. -
I have a question for everyone.

For water you can almost always get the water you need for the day from your yard very early in the morning. There is generally enough of a temperature change that there should be water somewhat regularly sitting on your yard. I took a towel and dragged it on the ground. That one swipe gave me a lot more water than I could have ever expected. And depending on the time of year it could be raining every other day. I posted a how to on making your own hand pump for a well. If I can do it anyone can and it works great. -
I asked this last night in chat and I figured it would make a great topic here. And the answers might help others figure out their weaknesses. If SHTF, regardless of scenario, exactly when you read this what would you be lacking? For me it would be a neighborhood plan as well as a "common" pistol. I am also lacking in medical supplies. Yes I can probably stop most bleeding but honestly I don't have anything for allergies, the common cold or any other ailments that are not life threatening but can make your life miserable in a SHTF situation. So what are you lacking?

Avoid IOR like IO like the plague. They have ALWAYS, and still do, have quality control issues. I handled one at SMKW and it had some rivets that looked like they should rattle. Some were nice and round and others were 1/2 flat. They are the bottom of the barrel as far as AKs go. You can get a WASR for about the same price and get a great gun.

BTW, butthurt cannot be a trademarked word. I was getting butthurt, and calling it that, for a very, very long time. You have a lot of catching up to do if you are just getting started. Not sure if you have enough time left now because we have 54 days left before the first major incident that might spark the up and coming civil, socioeconomic, race war.

Trump would raise visa fees to pay for Mexican border wall
Dolomite_supafly replied to Ron_TN's topic in General Chat
Here is a plan that solves two problems. First change our tax code to a flat tax on all purchases. This would generate a lot more income than our current system. It would get those here illegally, the drug dealers, those on the government tit and anyone else who doesn't report their income now. And part of the flat tax would be to get rid of the IRS then move all IRS agents to the border between us and Mexico. With 110,000 agents now on the border that means we can put an agent on the ground every 100 yards around the clock. And honestly as much as I hate, and despise any type of war, a war between Mexico and the US would be the best thing for the US. At least then we will use our military power and strength to secure the border rather than a few strands of barbed wire that doesn't stop anyone. When, not if, we get attacked in a major way it will be by people who have crossed our southern border to get here and part of keeping the bad guys out also keeps out all others which would help Americans get the jobs they need to survive and thrive. -
Now that is some funny stuff right there. Needed a good laugh this morning. BTW, it has always been said that the victors are the ones who right the history. Right now THEY think, and are acting like, they are the victors and are trying to erase all the history they do not agree with. At some point, in the not to distant future, there will be a time when people will be amazed at the sight of a confederate flag like people who are amazed by 8 track tapes at a yard sale. It is a part of US history and to forget or try to hide it takes away from all those heroes who fought in our only civil war. Those that fought in the civil war are just as much of a hero as any service member before or since. So removing the confederate flag from out history is also removing the flag a lot of fallen heroes fought, and died, for.
