  1. No matter what happens, either short term or long term, the United States will NEVER be what it once was. All civilizations fail at some point and ours is no different. What is different is how long it takes to meet our demise. Could be another hundred years or more but it could also fail in the next few years, which is what I am planning for. If I am wrong then my supplies will be there for my heirs. And when we do fail I hope it brings us all together but I suspect it will end with Americans fighting, and killing, each other making us ripe for the picking by our biggest threat to our nation's survival. The biggest threat to our way of life in not the liberal agenda, gun control or an out of control government. It is the slow creeping of those who are Muslim and follow Islam. All you have to do to see this is look at everything going on across Europe by these people. They ROUTINELY assault, rape and kill non Muslims for wandering into the areas those Muslims have have declared as their own. They then use Sharia as justification for it an riot if they are not allowed to apply Sharia to non Muslims. They have been slowly conditioning us into tolerating if by making small demands like refusing to check customers out if they are buying something the Muslim does not believe in. And what do we do? Accommodate them so they can continue to make more and more demands. I urge everyone to jump on YouTube and look at all that this "religion of peace" is doing to the citizens of countries they were allowed to enter. We, for the good of our children, must resist those who say we must tolerate them. I will NEVER tolerate any demands made on behalf of any Muslim, even moderates.
  2. Right now I am following a Grainger county emergency response sedan. Not a patrol but still in an official capacity. He is texting as I am typing this and driving all over the road. He left his lane of traffic several times and has all the markers of a DUI driver. He is trying to keep one tire on the yellow line but that only gets him closer to actually leaving the roadway. We have been waiting for him to wreck himself or someone else.
  3.   I have done it as well and I just acted like I was buying a pack of crackers, with CONFIDENCE.   But I will tell you how to fix that. Next time she asks you to buy some then buy the super, duper, extra absorbency. She will NEVER ask you again. Might be a little rough for a few days until she doesn't need them anymore but in the end it will be worth it.
  4.   You obviously speak from experience. What FFL charges transfer fees for in stock guns? I need to keep an eye out for his "Going out of business" sale. BTW, I have never heard of a dealer charging a "transfer" fee on an in stock gun.   It is your prerogative to do what you want but I can assure you that most will not agree to pay a "transfer" fee on in stock guns. That is just an extra "cost" that WILL drive customers away. If you want to get extra money for handling the gun then increase the price of the gun instead of charging the customer for some "hidden" fee once they get to your store. I always hated businesses that try to charge some sort of fee for something that should be free or at least rolled into the price. By having all these other fees you are fooling customers into thinking you have a price that is lower than it really is and that is deceptive.
  5. No problems that I can see.
  6. Cannot stress this enough. Forget about everything you know or think about NY after you get here. Anything you think you know about or like about NY will not apply here. We have a very, very nice place to live so don't screw it up by trying to change it to the NY you left. I have already met on person from NY talking about suing his local government because where he lives is not like the NY he left. I wish we could revoke his travel visa and deport him. And I do not want to seem so harsh but we are extremely protective of OUR little piece of heaven. Any idea yet where you are moving to?
  7. Found it. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/63508-seat-belts-saved-us-pics-added/?fromsearch=1
  8. Lumber jack was rear ended by a lady who was texting and died in the process. His wife was injured in the accident. I will try to find his post.
  9. http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=234679 Not exactly what you are looking for but it is similar.
  10. He wasted soooo much volume. Rather than make it thinner with large ribs why not just make the OD the same as the ribs. He lost a lot of volume for the sake of being unique looking. Right now it is larger than it needs to be and smaller than it needs to be all at the same time. My silencer, and how it was designed, reduces the back pressure SIGNIFICANTLY while still being extremely quit.
  11. We probably know each other or at least have mutual friends. Spent some time doing the same thing until the helicopter I was in crashed.

  13. And with a 12 pound trigger they wonder why their officers cannot hit targets.
  14. This will not turn into a fit over whether an animal needs to be humanely killed. The person doing it felt it was necessary so we cannot question their reasons why. I have had to kill cats in the past and although I did not want to it was something that I HAD to do in order to protect our animals. By the time it got to that point I had lanced at least a dozen puss filled abscesses in our cats and then there is the vet bills. So I understand why some people need to kill animals and I will not question it so long as the killed it as humanely as they could.
  15. It is all part of life and my struggles are not unique to me. A lot of newer members have no clue as I have not talked a lot about my family or my childhood in a while. Mostly because I severed all ties with my family, except my wife and my son and his family, six years ago. It was the hardest but the best thing I have done for myself, my wife and our life together. But I concur it seems like I have been through a lot but I am no different than a lot of members in their own struggles. Everyone has their own struggles in life, I am no different than any of them except I don't mind talking about what I have been through. And I don't talk about what I have been through looking for sympathy. I do it so hopefully others can realize they are not alone in their personal struggles. And if there is anyone, but especially veterans, that feel overwhelmed because of their struggles in life know you are not alone and that people do care.
  16. I really wish we could but there is no way. We are going to give it a bit more to get a little weight on the little guy. He definitely was imaciated, dehydrated and 100% feral. That little fellow fought with all he had defending himself once he came around. His two days in the engine compartment definitely took its toll. Last night it was laying down and I guess a shower sounds like something scary. My wife turned on the shower and the little guy about came out of his skin. I can only imagine what it sounded and felt like in a hot engine compartment in this heat. Must have been like a convection oven.
  17. It has a nice little heated cardboard apartment.
  18. A Dustbuster will if it has the 14mm attachment.   But yeah that one increases back pressure but more importantly it reduces flash on the shorter barrels.

  20. I lost so much time to this little guy. Kittens amaze as well as mesmerize me and I can watch them for hours. Even though he weighs ounces he is already acting like a big cat.
  21. Now they are even cheaper! http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-CONDOR-2-Point-OD-Green-Tactical-Shoulder-Strap-223-Rifle-Gun-Sling-Adapter-/231209561002?hash=item35d529ebaa $5.17 shipped.
  22. It is a cheap one I bought off of Ebay for like $8.99 shipped. Works great so far and is plenty wide enough to be comfortable.
  23. So as some of you who have been here for a while know I have recently became a AK fanatic giving up most things AR related. And a year, or more, ago I built a EDC carry "pistol" out of a mini Draco. It worked extremely well and missed it the second I sold it so I decided to throw another one together. The last one had to have a maximum length so it would fit into a laptop bag so I could carry it with me into stores. This one is a little different as I will not be using the same bag so it does not have the same length requirements. So instead of running a slant brake, that was pretty rough to shoot, I installed a 4 piece brake and it seems to help a lot. The gas system has been tuned, the trigger has been reworked to remove most of the pre travel and over travel. The trigger is a two stage that is under four pounds. The forearm is made from a cut down Saiga rifle forearm. It is actually 26"+ so I could, if I wanted to, add a vertical forward grip but I am not a fan of them on such a small gun. The only thing I might do is swap out a top cover for one with an A2 sight so I can get a longer sight radius. I welcome any questions. And here are some pictures of what I am dubbing my AKPDW V2.0.
  24. I would rather have a dog than not have a dog. The security they bring is worth what little they eat. And especially so for a dog that has some sort of defensive training. Most dogs can help with hunting as well.
